Hello
Do not own Supernatural or make money off of it.
I don't know how I feel about this update. It was kind of a spur of the moment one. Let me know what you think. If I need to fix it, I will. Thanks!
Chapter Six
Sam was miserbale. He couldn't sleep without Dean next to him. He stared at the side of the bed where Dean usually slept. He sighed and reached for his cellphone on the night stand.
He texted Dean, 'Come to bed.'
Less than a minute later, he heard the door creak quietly open. He watched as Dean timidly peaked his head inside the bedroom, making sure no mysterious flying objects were coming his way before fully coming into the room. He closed the door carefully behind him, waiting for Sam to give him some kind of signal that it was okay to get into bed with him. Sam inclined his head slightly, indicating it was okay. Dean let out as breath he didn't know he was holding and gently crawled into bed, wrapping his arms around Sam.
"I didn't mean to upset you Sammy," Dean whispered. "I'm just really worried about you."
Sam spoke just as quietly. "I know, but everything will turn out all right. I promise. Nothing is going to go wrong. I know our baby is big, but that just means he our she is very healthy."
"I won't be able to do anything about the pain you're going to be in." Dean nearly sobbed. Sam completely understood everything in that moment. He remembered how much pain Dean was in when he was in labor.
"Dean, you weren't just in physical pain when you were in labor. The emotional pain far out weighed the physical. I'm not going to have that extra weight on me when our baby comes." Dean pulled Sam closer knowing he was right.
"I know, and I'm so grateful for that."
Sam smiled into Dean's hair, knowing his brother was now more relaxed about the impending arrival of their child. "Can we sleep now? I'm exhausted. This one has been playing kickball with my insides all day."
Dean huffed out a laugh. "Yeah, Sammy, we can sleep now."
--------------------------------
Two days later...
Sam stood in the warm shower breathing through another contraction. He'd been in labor for over three ours already and hadn't told anybody yet. Bobby had gone out on a hunt in North Dakota, and Dean hard been out in the yard all day tinkering with a busted up, old chevy camaro. The contractions were five minutes apart, and nearly a minute long each. He turned off the shower and gingerly stepped out of it. He went straight to their bed, not bothering to dry off. He cautiously lowered himself onto the it. The next contraction wrapped around his midsection, much sooner and harsher than the others. He gave a pained moan before pailing as he felt liquid run down his legs. He full out screamed for Dean with everything he had.
Dean heard Sam's scream and was to their bedroom in point five seconds. He crashed through the bedroom door, dropping to his knees in front of Sam.
"Sammy, what's wrong?" Dean panted out.
Sam opened his closed eyes, looking straight into Dean's. "The litte one here wants to make an appearance now." Dean's eyes went huge before he collected himself.
"Figures Bobby's out of town when this happens." Sam somehow found the energy to roll his eyes. "Alright, lets' get you to the top of the bed here." Sam groaned as Dean helped him to the head of the bed. He put pillows behind Sam for support so he could lean back against the head board. "Okay Sammy, how long have you been in labor?" Dean knew he wasn't going to like the answer.
Sam breathed through another contraction before answering. "Over three hours. My water broke right before I screamed for you." Sam banged his head against the head board as his muscles seized up in another contraction.
"I'm going to kill you after all this is done." Dean looked at his watch after speaking. Two minutes apart, and over a minute long. "Jesus Christ Sam, it's alomst time to push. You should've told me. I have to go get the supplies. DO NOT PUSH!" Sam banged his head in answer, right hand massaging his stomach, left hand tangling in the sheets.
Dean was back less than two minutes later with all the supplies. He set them on the night stand and went to kneel between Sam's legs. "Okay Sammy, I need you to to open your legs as wide as you possibly can and pull them back." Sam did exactly as instructed. "Good. Do feel like you need to push?" Sam nodded vehemently as he felt their child being forced further down by another contraction. "Okay then. Grab behind your knees and push as hard as you can." Sam did so without question.
He felt like his insides were going to burst, but could feel how the semi-curled position helped their child ease its way out of his body. He let go of his knees and collapsed back into the pillows as the abuse on his body momentarily calmed.
"Good Sammy. When the next one comes, do the same thing." Sam didn't respond, repeating the process again, and again, and again.
It had been over an hour since Sam had started pushing. He could feel the baby almost at his entrance, but it would slip back inside of him once he stopped pushing. Dean hadn't said anything about seeing a head yet, and Sam thought maybe he never would.
Dean could see how exhausted his brother was. He was afraid that maybe Sam was almost too exhausted. He watched as Sam grabbed his knees again, pushing with everything he had, face going red with strain. When Sam let go of his knees to grasp at the sheets, Dean took his legs and placed a foot each of his shoulders. He pushed Sam's legs towards his body, putting more pressure on his stomach. Sam screamed, the new postion forcing their child down completely.
"I see hair Sammy! Hair!" Sam started crying. Relief and pain flooding his system all at once. Dean pushed Sam's legs as close to his body as he could get them. The combination of that and Sam's pushing forcing the top of the head completely out. "It's brown Sammy! The hair's brown!" More relief. More pain. More tears.
Sam felt his perinium begin to tear as the head fully left his body. Dean saw the tearing. He placed his left hand under the baby's head for support before reaching over to the night stand for the scalpel he had put there. "This is going to hurt Sammy, but it'll keep you from tearing more." Dean waited for the contraction to hit its peak before slicing through the delicate skin.
Sam nearly howled in pain, but was thankful that he wouldn't tear anymore. He felt Dean begin to turn their child so the shoulders would be easier to push out. Sam pushed, feeling as the shoulders passed through him, then the rest of the little body following suit. He collapsed into the bed in an exhausted heap of flesh.
"It's a girl Sam!" Dean suctioned out her nose and mouth, listening to the most beautiful sound he had ever heard as their daughter tried her lungs out. Dean gently placed Sam's feet back on the bed before picking the scalpel back up. He cut the cord, smiling like an idiot as he set their daughter in Sam's awating arms. Sam pulled her close to his body, an identical, far more exhausted smile gracing his lips.
He ran a reverant finger along her cheek, quieting her unhappy yowls in to disgruntled hiccups. "What an entranced you just made. I'm your daddy, and the guy next to me is your papa. We're so excited to finally meet you." When she opened her eyes to look at them for the first time, they both gasped. Her eyes were the exact same vibrant green as Dean's. "Holy crap Dean. She's as beautiful as you." Dean looked at him like he was insane.
In that moment, Dean considered Sam the most beautiful anything he had ever seen, but he didn't say anything. "Alright Sammy, let's get this not so little one weighed." Sam snorted in slight amusement as Dean took their daughter.
Sam watched as Dean first weighed the basket, then put their little girl inside of it. Dean's eyes grew wide before he brought their daughter back into the room. Sam raised an eyebrow in question. "Ten pounds Sammy. Holy shit."
Sam full out laughed, then hissed. "What did you expect Dean? A small baby?" She began to fuss again. "Here, let me feed her." Dean set her on Sam's chest and watched as she latched onto one of Sam's nipples and sucked greedily.
Dean watched in amazement, but was worried that Sam hadn't delivered the after birth yet. Their daughter had made an appearance well over an hour ago. He checked Sam, making sure there was no excess bleeding. His perinium wasn't even bleeding anymore. That was good, but something still nagged at Dean. He looked up at Sam's face when he heard him blow air out quietly through his mouth. They gave eachother confused looks before Dean took their now sleeping daughter and placed her in the crib they had set up next to the bed. Sam's hands went to his stomach as did Dean's, when it began cramping again.
"Oh holy shit," Dean whispered, so Sam wouldn't hear it. "Alright Sam, let's get you up and walking around a little bit." Sam's confused look became more pronounced as Dean basically picked him up off the bed and stood him on his feet. "Keep your arms around me Sam. We're going to be walking around the room very slowly, okay?" Sam nodded and let Dean guide him around the room.
Sam finally figured out why Dean had him up and walking around as he felt something drop painfully into his pelvis. "Dean, you mother fucker! You figured out there was another one and didn't tell me?!" Sam ground out as his midsection seized up on him.
"Sorry Sammy. I wasn't sure, but this was the best way to confirm it." Sam couldn't answer, he was to busy growling as a contraction wrapped his body in pain. "Back to the bed." Dean more or less had to drag Sam back to the bed, which was no easy feat.
"No. Kneeling." Sam stated as his knees gave out from under him. He figured why not use gravity to his advantage for once? Sam put his hands on the edge of the bed and straightend his arms. He widened his stance so Dean could fit in behind him. Kneeling helped because the baby moved down much faster as he pushed. Sam hung his head forward, desperate for it all to be over.
"More hair Sam! Almost done. You can do it."
Sam took a deep breath, pushing as hard as he could, willing the child faster out of his body.
"I think this one's as big as the last one Dean," Sam seethed as the head left his body. Dean didn't say anything, knowing his death would come soon.
Sam felt as the baby got caught on his pelvic bone. It was the most intense pain he had ever felt. Tears of only pain streamed down his face. Dean rotated the baby, made it so the shoulders weren't stuck anymore. The child slid easily from Sam after that.
Sam's arms gave out as Dean exclaimed, "It's a boy!" Sam hadn't heard. He had passed out before his head had hit the bed.
Please don't hate me! I know I suck for not updating! I'm so sorry! Hopefully this appeases some of you.
