Luke found Uncle Jesse in the barn a few minutes later "Uncle Jesse
we need to talk."

"What is it Luke?" Jesse asked as he turned around.

"I came out here to tell you that Bo knows his folks are alive, Roy
Logan told him and he tried to make him think it was....that they'd
left him cause he wasn't any good. I just figured you should know
cause Bo will probably have questions." Luke told him.

"Just how does Roy Logan know anything about Bo's folks?" Jesse demanded.

Luke sighed, he had known that question was coming, "he got it out of
my head....I've known for a long time that they're alive....I heard you
talking to Aunt Martha about it once." Stopping to take a breath, Luke
wondered if he should ask, he didn't want to upset Uncle Jesse or make
him mad but he couldn't help being curious. "Uncle Jesse? Why did Bo's
folks leave him here? Was it cause of his health problems?"


Jesse wanted to tell Luke the whole truth but knew he couldn't, at least
not yet. "No Luke it wasn't anything like that, Bo's asthma hadn't
developed yet. But it wasn't cause of anything Bo did either, how
could it be he was just a baby. I'd like to tell you the whole story
but I don't think I should until I tell Bo. You boys have had a rough
time of it and even though he knows you had no control over what Roy
Logan did it's still likely to cause problems for the two of you. Then
too you already kept it from him that his folks are alive, I ain't gonna
make more problems for you boys by giving you another secret you'd have
to keep from him."

"What do you mean? Ain't you gonna tell him the whole story?" Luke asked
angrily.

"Now just calm down Luke, course I'm gonna tell him, and that's the point.
I should be the one to tell him, since I'm the one who kept it from him.
Besides he'll be bound to have questions you won't know the answers to."
Jesse told him and Luke couldn't help but hear the regret in Jesse's
voice, though whether it was cause he'd kept this from Bo or cause he'd
have to tell him now, Luke didn't know. "I wonder though" Jesse sighed,
"should I just tell him or wait for him to ask?"


Luke thought about that for a minute, it wasn't something that had
occurred to him before now. After a few minutes he gave Jesse his
opinion, "I think....with everything he's been through you should wait
for him to ask you. I'm sure if he don't remember yet, he will sooner
or later, but that won't mean he's ready to know everything. Bo's the
only one who can decide when he's ready to deal with it." Before Jesse
could say anything he had to catch Luke as he stumbled and almost fell.

"You better go lay down too Luke....you might not have physical injuries
like Bo but you've had a bad time of it too. Now don't argue with me
boy, you need your rest if you want to help Bo through this." Jesse
said as he gently guided Luke towards the house. Knowing his uncle was
right Luke did as he suggested and was soon sleeping beside Bo, one
arm wrapped protectively around Bo's waist.


A few hours later Bo woke up to the sound of Luke's moans and cries.
Rolling over he gently shook Luke's shoulder as he called his name trying
to wake him up. Suddenly Luke bolted upright in the bed, his heart
racing, breathing harshly as he jerked away from Bo's touch. "How can
you stand to be near me after what I did to you?" Luke questioned.

"Luke....it wasn't you that hurt me, it might have been your body but
it wasn't you." Bo said as he reached out to lay a hand on Luke's back.
When Luke didn't respond Bo tried again, "please love look at me....Luke
please don't do this, don't blame yourself....don't let Roy Logan's
actions destroy what we have. I love you Luke,....I....I need you love,
more than I'll ever be able to express." Bo said with tears in his eyes.

Luke turned finally to look at Bo, he couldn't believe this, how could
Bo still love him. "I don't know what to say Bo....I feel awful, I should
be comforting you not the other way around."

"Yeah, well I'm sure you'll get a chance for that, but Luke you suffered
too. I know, I know you weren't physically tortured,.....weren't....
ra....raped....but you know in a way you were. When he possessed you,
used your body to hurt me, controlled you, well isn't that a sort of
rape. It's just mental instead of physical, I can't even imagine how
horrible that must have been, but in it's own way it had to be just as
bad as what he did to me."

When Bo finished speaking Luke just stared at him in shock. It was
several moments before Luke found his voice, "When did you get to be
so smart?"


Bo just shook his head, "not smart, I just hate to see you hurting. I
don't want to see you beating yourself up for something somebody else
did."


"I'll try darling.....I don't want to upset you, I love you so much Bo
and the only thing I want is for you to be happy. I can't promise I
won't have nightmares or that I won't have moments of blaming myself,
but for you I'll do my best to remember that it's not my fault." Luke
ended in a whisper as he found himself wrapped in Bo's arms.


"I guess that's all I can ask for now, just.....remember this, I love
you and nothing could ever change that." Bo assured him as he ran his
hands up and down Luke's back soothingly. As Luke began to calm down
Bo gently pulled him back down to the bed so that they lay facing each
other, eventually falling back asleep wrapped in each other's embrace.
They woke up a couple of hours later and decided to get up for awhile.
The first thing Bo wanted was a shower, he needed to feel clean, needed
to wash the stench of Roy Logan away. Luke helped him into the bathroom
and into the shower, once Bo was in the shower Luke returned to their
room to gather clothes for both of them along with the ointment for Bo's
injuries. When he returned to the bathroom Luke stripped and stepped
into the shower intending only to help Bo wash up, "I thought you might
need some he....lp" Luke gulped as he was confronted once again with the
reality of Bo's suffering, before he could think what to say or do Bo
had flung his arms around him holding on to him as though his very life
depended on it.

"sh....it's gonna be okay darlin....it's over Bo, Logan will never be
able to hurt you again." Luke soothed as Bo trembled with the force of
his sobs. "Bo....please darlin tell me what to do....what can I do to
help you? What do you need Bo? I'll give all I have to get you through
this, please darlin talk to me, tell me how to help you."


"Just hold me Luke, just I need to know....that this....that it's really
over. I'm afraid....what if I'm dreaming? I'm scared I'll wake up and
still be in that roo, that he'll be...." Bo gasped out between sobs.


"Oh Bo, I promise you it's over you're not dreaming." Luke paused not
sure how this would be received. "I think I know how to prove to you
that it's real, but I don't want to upset you, so if anything I do
upsets you or makes you uncomfortable in any way tell me and I'll stop,
okay?" When Bo nodded Luke carefully took Bo's face in his hands and
began to kiss him. As Bo began to return the kiss Luke wove one hand
through Bo's soft blond hair while pulling him closer with a hand on his
back. Slowly so as not to startle Bo he began to nibble and kiss his
way down Bo's body, when he reached Bo's manhood he gently took him into
his mouth. As he began to increase the strength of the suction he swiped
his tongue over and around Bo's dick, enjoying the reaction he got from
his lover. Luke was relieved that Bo was able to respond like this to
him, he had been afraid that Bo would pull away when he started this,
he loved the sound of Bo begging for more as he began to thrust into
Luke's mouth, thrilled to the feel of Bo's fingers in his hair as he
pressed Luke towards him. All too soon Bo was shooting his load down
Luke's throat, who greedily swallowed every drop, before standing up
and once again pressing his lips to Bo's in a passionate kiss. As he
reluctantly pulled away from the kiss he asked, "Do you believe it's
real now darling?"


"Oh Yeah, thank you Luke that was wonderful, you know I like the way
you chose to prove to me that I'm not dreaming." Bo said in a voice
thick with emotion. Soon finishing their shower and dressing they slowly
made their way outside to enjoy some fresh air and simply being home
with their family again.


As the days turned to weeks Bo and Luke gradually healed, the physical
injuried healing first of course. At first both men suffered through
nightmares, each taking his turn at comforting the other. As the weeks
went by their nightmares decreased in both frequency and intensity until
they finally stopped, with one exception.


Luke was worried about Bo, even though his nightmares had mostly
stopped there was one he kept having. Waking once again to the sound
of Bo's cries as he tried to deny the truth Roy Logan had given him,
only to have the cries against the truth turn to cries for acceptance.
Luke tried to wake Bo as he again begged his parents to love him, promising
to be good if only they would love him, finally Bo woke with a sob and
Luke once more soothed him as best as he could. Deciding he had to do
something to try and put a stop to this Luke said what he knew he should
have weeks ago. "Bo, darlin you can't keep on like this, you need to
talk to Uncle Jesse. Ask him to tell you why your parents left you
here."


"I....I can't Luke...what if....what if Logan was right? What if they
left me behind because I was bad or cause there was something wrong with
me? I'm scared of what I'll find out." Bo said with such pain and despair
it tore Luke's heart in half.


"Oh darlin I can't say I understand but I can imagine how much you must
hurt. What I do know though is the only way you can deal with this is
to find out the truth and the only way to do that is to talk to Uncle
Jesse, please Bo ask him so you can finally heal." Luke pled with him.
Bo knew he wouldn't get anymore sleep tonight so he told Luke he needed
some time to think and went outside.


After a few hours thinking of Luke's words, Bo knew Luke was right
and he would have to talk to Uncle Jesse. When breakfast was over Bo
asked Uncle Jesse if they could talk, as they went into the living room
Bo took a deep breath before taking a seat and plunging ahead. "Uncle
Jesse, I know my folks are alive, I know they abandoned me....and well
I just need to know why? What was wrong with me? What did I do wrong?"

Jesse was shocked he had no idea Bo felt this way. "Bo there wasn't
anything wrong with you, they left you because they love you. Your
folks saw something terrible Bo, they witnessed a murder and the man
who did it was high up in the mafia. The FBI protected your folks and
you, then after the trial they had to go into the witness protection
program. You were supposed to go with them but on the way to the
airport they were attacked. It scared your folks something awful and
mostly they worried about you, they decided after the attack to leave
you here. The FBI let it leak that you had been killed in the attack,
then after a couple of months spent in the Hazzard orphanage you came
here."


"Wait a minute Uncle Jesse" Bo interrupted, "I don't understand why
didn't I come straight here?"

"Well Bo everyone thought it would be safest if you didn't come here
right away, in case the place was being watched. Bo, son don't ever
doubt your folks loved you, it tore them up to leave you behind. But
they wanted you safe and they wanted you to have a normal life."


When he had finished Uncle Jesse waited, wondering if Bo could accept
the truth now that he knew it. "I...I won't ever get to see them will
I?" Bo asked.


"No Bo I'm sorry, I wish things could be different but it wouldn't be
safe for them or you if you went looking for them. You understand don't
you?" Uncle Jesse asked with regret. Bo nodded and when he made no move
from the couch after several minutes Jesse went outside and told Luke
to go to Bo. When Luke came in he found Bo sitting there and as he
sat down he put an arm around Bo. With tears in his eyes Bo told Luke
all that Jesse had told him, although it saddened him that he would
never get to see his parents he felt better than he had in weeks now
that he knew the truth. That night for the first time since Halloween
Bo slept peacefully and soon life was back to normal in Hazzard.
