CHAPTER THIRTY

The next evening back at Kathleen’s

Leaning in to kiss Jane on the lips, not wanting to let her out of his sight, John reluctantly made his way to his aunt’s office to ask for a favor.
Jane stayed behind on the patio connected to his atrium watching the sunset, and remembering when she first met John.
Thinking to herself,
“So much has changed since we first met. I cant believe I fought it so hard.”
Then laughing to herself, Jane said out loud,
“If I had only known I would have probably dove in head first immediately.”
Having said that she got up and went to turn on the new sound system that Kathleen had put in earlier that day, and decided on her new favorite song putting it on repeat.

“In Your Eye’s” by. Jeffrey Gaines.

love
I get so lost,
Sometimes
Days pass
And this emptiness fills my heart
When I want to run away
I drive off in my car
But whichever way I choose
I come back to the place you are

Returning to her spot on, she closed her eyes while daydreaming of what their future could be like.
Picturing John’s face when he feels the baby kick inside her for the first time, heck her strange food cravings should be more than enough to get him to do that irresistible lopsided grin of his.
Laughing, Jane shook her head noticing the reaction just thinking of that grin, and pushed the blanket that was wrapped around her shoulder down some to ease the sudden rush of heat taking over her body.

And All my instincts,
They return
And the grand facade,
So soon will burn
Without a noise,
without my pride
I reach out from the inside
Whoa oh oh
Whoa oh oh
In your eyes
The light, the heat
I am complete
I see the doorways
To a thousand churches
The resolution

Placing her hand on her stomach Jane thought back on the day before when John had asked about naming the baby.
“I should have known it was way to soon to know if you were a boy or a girl. Oh well I think he liked the idea of waiting until your born to find out a little more.”

Of all my fruitless searches
Whoa I see the light and the heat
Yes I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light The heat
I see in your eyes

Still talking to herself, and the baby Jane tried to think up a few names,
“Hm, what should we call you, huh? Let’s see Elizabeth, Kristina? Maybe I would do better starting with boys names. Joshua, Jason, huh I know Sam.”
Bursting out in a fit of laughter at the last name.
“Yeah I don’t think so. Maybe Tarzan, yeah because that would go over so well with everyone. Then again we could follow your daddy’s family and name you John.”
“I like Tarzan.”
John stated having been listening to her.

Love,
I don't like to see
so much pain
So much
wasted
And each moment is slipping away
I get so tired
Working so hard
For our survival
But I look to theses times with you
To keep me awake and alive
And all my instincts,
They return

Jumping at the sound of his voice Jane screeched out,
“John! Don’t do that.”
Sauntering up beside her, John easily sat down pulling her onto his lap before asking,
“Can we call the baby Tarzan?”
With all honesty in his face obviously showing that he was serious.
Jane looked at him thinking carefully not sure how to answer him, then decided on a compromise,
“How about we think of a few more names before we make any decisions, o.k.? Besides what if it is a girl? I don’t want her mad at us from the start for giving her a boy’s name.”

And the grand facade,
So soon will burn
Without a noise,
Without my pride
I reach out from the inside
Whoa oh oh
Whoa oh oh
In your eyes
The light and the heat
I am complete

“A girl.”
John said leaning in with a huge grin, and eyes sparkling brighter than any stars she had ever seen.
Taking his hand in hers, Jane brought it to her lips kissing softly.

I see the doorways
To a thousand churches
And resolution
Of all my fruitless searches

“Yeah how would you think about that?”
Jane asked with curiosity filling her features.
Leaning back slightly, John thought about a little girl, and all he could picture was Jane in the baby pictures she had shown him recently,
Then answering,
“She will look like you.”
As though that was the most incredible thing ever.

I want to touch the light
The heat I see in your eyes
In your eyes,
In your eyes

Blushing at his response, Jane quickly pointed out,
“You know, we could be having a boy. Which means it could end up looking just like you.”
Looking at her with an unsure expression, John tried to remember what he was like as a child.
As soon as he began to remember his childhood, he began to tighten his grip slightly as he once again felt the sadness of loosing his parents, and being alone.
“I will never leave no matter what.”
John stated leaving no room for argument.
Placing her hand on his cheek to make him turn towards her Jane saw how determined he was and pulled him into a tight embrace.

Whoa see the light and the heat
Yes I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light
The heat I see in your eyes
In your eyes,
In your eyes
In your eyes,
In your eyes
