I registered an account finally because I felt strongly enough after reading this piece to want to comment.

My eyes were watering by the end, and I felt genuine horror and sadness for two fictional persons. Well-frickin'-done.

First I have to say that that I am new to this fandom.
From what I have seen your characterizations are good. House just dosen't strike me as the type to fall for someone easily.
Secondly, I loved the stlye of this, the flashbacks intermixed was brilliant.
Thirdly, a sequal would be great. I really want to see how your House and Chase react to this down the road.

That was so sad!
It was really great how you had House saying those horrible things to Chase followed by House's confession. It made one of those you hate him but you love him kind of moments.
So sad.

Poor Chase, he doesn't deserve to suffer. Poor House too, but Chase is more cute. Pit that is only a one shot, it'd be pretty cool if somebody else tried to take Chase away. How House would deal with competition? Anyway, great fic, I like it very much.
