Written on the coffin wall

Written on the coffin lid
Abby x Mcgee

Both lay content in the coffin her under him. They loved these lazy moments where it was so dark that they couldn't tell whose limb was whose. Tim thought of the entire relationship as a bad fan fiction with the absurd relationship that always seemed to work.

He was an awarded author who had wanted to be a cop. Learning the trade he was put in a squad at the naval criminal investigative service with characters he thought only existed in his books. She was a forty year old with a body of someone half her age and loved all things oddly macabre. It was strange to find out she was older until looking back on memories. Every time she had asked something she made sure to not volunteer that.

She was the one who pulled him from his shell constantly pushing himself to be comfortable in places that he normally wouldn't. All those small moments added up over the months to where they were currently. Wrapped around each other enjoying the pulse of each other. Feeling the thirst from the back of his throat he opened the casket before untangling his limbs from her. Taking a breath of the cold night air he could feel his blood pumped back in his extremities. Walking in to the kitchen he was soon leaning against the counter. Cradling the glass he looked at the surface of the water wondering about the amazing times hoping that it would never change.

“Hey Timmy.”

She rested against the opposite counter not being caught by his gaze until he spoke looping her arm through his pulling close without breaking his grasp on the cup.

“It's weird Abbs, I thought a relationship like ours would just be in books, yet her it is and it's just so weird.”

Catching her eyes peer up from his arm before he quickly amended the statement by finishing as fast as he could.

“I mean in how everything is so perfect while the perfect relationship used with the hero. I am more the plucky side kick. Then the hero I mean it just seems too magical to even be real and sometimes I wonder.”

He was surprised at her finger resting on his lips. Looking down to see her smile she could only answer him with three words before trapping him between her and the counter before smiling at her prey only to be pushed against the sink. Feeling the rush through him he tosses the glass hard enough in the sink to shatter. The sound was unable to break the mood as she hopped up to the edge before feeling a shard trace up a shoulder gently enough to scratch, but not to bleed. Wrapping her legs around his waist with a content grin before playfully nipping at his ear both made their way to the couch.

Hours of time passed turning the clean living room in to a whirlwind danger zone. Everything on the tables sat happily on the floor as both lay panting on the now ruined couch.

“Timmy your going to kill me.”

“Not if...I..die first.” He panted.
A moment of silence passed before she spoke again.

“By the time we're done you will find out this is perfectly ours.”

Fluttering her eyes closed the point cane through him with a warm smile still on his lips.

“ I can use that for one of my books....”

Leaning on each other they made their way to the coffin with only enough grace to fall in before closing the lid. Soon the sound of knuckles hitting flesh as well as his voice escaped in a pained sigh before broke the silence.

“Love you too Abby.”
