The Sucking Succubus

THE GATES

The Sucking Succubus

Chapter 1 – New Arrivals

Dr. Peg Mueller impatiently waited in her car at the rear entrance to her clinic in the dark parking lot. Hours earlier she had completed another examination of Andie Bates and what she did not find had astonished her. But her mind was not solely on young Miss Bates.

“What brought the man to The Gates?” she wondered, her right hand twisting at the steering wheel of her Mercedes, eyes staring unfocused at the rear door leading into her office. “Surely Frank Buckley's people would have vetted the man or he would never have been able to take up residence.”

As she pondered these things, a BMW pulled up beside her parked car. A tall man exited the vehicle and pulled a dark pea coat tightly around him to block the cold wind of a newly arrived norther. Autumn leaves rattled along the gutters and bounced along the top of the pavement of the parking lot as the man walked to the front of his car and waited for the woman to exit hers.

“What's this about, Peg?” he asked.

She raised a hand and motioned him toward the office's back door. He helped her pull the door open against the force of the wind.

“My office, Thomas,” she replied, once the door slammed shut behind them. She began leading him down the dimly lit hallway without saying another word, rolling her coat off a shoulder.

As she entered her office, she threw her coat across the back of an office chair and waited for him to do the same with his.

“I should be home, Peg.” he said. “Andie will be worried. I should have been home two hours ago. Has her condition changed? What's going on?”

“Sit, Thomas,” was her sole reply, pointing to a chair in front of her desk. She then walked around the desk, opened a lower drawer and raised a large, leather-bound book to the top of her desk where she dropped it.

“Yes. Andie's condition has changed. But before I talk to you about it, you must give me your word you will let her know nothing about what I'm about to tell you until I say otherwise. Do you understand me? If she brings it up, fine. But you are not to say a word about this conversation otherwise. Understand?”

The tall, middle-aged man grasped at the armrests of the chair and pulled himself to the edge of his seat, his face worried, nearly frantic, his eyes large.

“What the hell do you mean by that, Peg? What the hell's going on with my daughter?”

“We are going to talk about that. But first, your promise, Thomas,” she said with a stern look on her face.

“Yes, yes, you have it. But enough of this cloak and dagger crap. What's going on?”

Dr. Mueller opened the large book to a page she had bookmarked earlier.

“You do realize, of course, that throughout written history we know many priests and rabbis were said to have spent centuries trying to suppress the power of sucubbi. They failed, of course. But legend tells us,” she continued, tapping a page of the book she had just opened, “sons born to Lilith's all-female line have the power to do just that.”

The man stiffened and sat back in the chair. “That's all bullshit and you know it,” Thomas replied. “Andie's mother and I spent years researching that crap. It's all bullshit.”

Mueller's right hand moved lightly atop the open book, as she nodded her head. “Before today, I would have agreed with you. But we both would have been wrong.”

“What?”

“I take it you haven't spent any time with Andie since yesterday afternoon?”

Thomas paused, his eyes downcast in thought. “No. By the time I got home last night she was already in bed and,” he paused once again, then raised his eyes once again to the doctor, “she had already left for school before I got up this morning. So, no . . . I haven't seen her since yesterday morning. Is she okay?”

“And your new neighbor, Thomas? Have you met him?” she asked, disregarding his question.

His level of anxiety ratcheted up a level. “What does he have to do with this? No. I haven't met the man. I haven't had the chance, not with all the hours I've been spending away from The Gates. What are you saying? How is he involved in all this?”

Dr. Mueller nodded her head. “No matter what you and your wife did or didn't find when researching the “Sons of Lilith” so called myth, I now believe the old stories to be true.”

“What are you saying? What happened, Peg?” he all but shouted out. “Did he do something to my Andie? Is she okay?”

“Calm down, Thomas. Enough with the yelling. This is your daughter's future we are talking about her. You know that. If she doesn't feed on the life force of males around her, you know she will soon die. That is a certainty. You've been feeding her your seed since before her mother died, but she is now requiring more and more. And you are clearly not meeting her needs. You know the day is quickly coming, Thomas, when you will have to make the same choice with her as you did with her mother, watch her slowly die or facilitate her needs in other ways. That will only result in the two of you having to leave The Gates. You know Frank will insist on that before too much longer. That is unless we can find a means to control her.”

The tall man came to his feet and raised a hand to his brow. He slowly moved around behind the chair before facing the doctor again. “I know. I've thought of nothing but that this whole last year. She has been getting noticeably stronger and nearly uncontrollable. Her hunger is much greater. Unlike her mother, I won't be able to feed her much longer. Her needs are already approaching that of her mother when I was forced to choose.”

Thomas once again lowered his eyes and grasped the back of the office chair to steady himself. His face showed the pain that memory brought to him. Andie's mother's need far exceeded his ability to feed her. They had no other choice but to make frequent trips around the country or Europe. Each time leaving dead young men behind, their life force sucked right out of them, literally.

All a succubus had to do was entice a male into an embrace. Before he got too weak, she would back away to break all contact except with her fingers. Oftentimes the male would collapse onto a couch, a bed or the floor, as her fingers massaged and rubbed at his groin. She would quickly pull down his pants, fish out his semi-hard penis and suck it into her mouth. As her head pumped up and down on the young man's organ, her free hand would continue to lightly massage his scrotum. As the last of his seed was swallowed, most times the young man would have ceased breathing. If not, the succubus would continue her manipulations until she drained the last of his seed and his life. Death would be immediate. She would quickly pull up, fasten and adjust his pants and leave him to be found wherever he fell. Such deaths were unexplainable. She left no marks upon her victims. Even times when she sucked too hard or for too long, any coroner would likely pay little or no attention to the young man's shriveled, abused cock.

“So? Are you saying this man is a spawn of Lilith? I can't believe that. Besides, Andie hasn't been around the man. I doubt she has even met him.”

Dr. Mueller nodded her head. “That was true until yesterday afternoon. His name is James MacAllister, by the way. And the young woman living with him isn't his daughter, as most of us first supposed, but yet another succubus. She's the one who made first contact with Andie. I don't yet know her story, but I do plan on having a meeting with MacAllister and real soon.”

“What did Andie say, Peg? What happened?”

She adjusted herself in her own chair and knew the moment had finally come. The heart of the matter, the real reason she had Thomas Bates meet her in her office. She waited until he once again took his seat in front of his desk.

“Hear me out before jumping to any conclusions, Thomas,” she said, waiting for a reply before continuing.

He only nodded his head, but the anxious look had returned to his face and eyes.

“The girl's name is Mariah. Andie didn't tell me much about her. She only said she felt an odd kinship towards her when she came to your house yesterday to introduce herself. So, naturally, when Mariah asked Andie to meet her dad, and yes, she called MacAllister her dad at the time, Andie was eager to do so.”

“And?”

“Stay calm, Thomas. You'll understand why this is a good thing if you hear me out.”

“Well, damn, Peg,” he nearly shouted out. “What the hell?”

Mueller continued. “From what Andie told me happened inside their home, Thomas, I now have little doubt in my mind just what James MacAlister is. Andie told me when Mariah introduced the man to her, he unhesitatingly walked up and put his arms around her. Andie was horrified, knowing she would immediately start drawing away his life force and tried to break away from him. But he held her fast and, according to Andie, she suddenly felt an odd feeling of comforting warmth envelop her. Mariah came up to MacAllister and unzipped his fly. She then raised her hands to Andie's shoulders and told her to get on her knees.”

Thomas Bates lowered his head and began shaking it slowly in disbelief.

“So he fed her, did he?”

Mueller nodded her head. “Yes, Thomas. And Andie told me it was as if all desire to feed left her once she swallowed the last of his semen. I gave her a thorough exam earlier today. There isn't one distended vein or other mark anywhere on her body. She says she feels as strong as she did before you started feeding her regularly right after her mother died.”

“Died?” he painfully smirked and began shaking his head once again. “You know what happened, Peg. She didn't just die.”

“I thought not,” the doctor replied. “When you told me where you were when it happened, well, I knew otherwise. But let's stay focused here for a moment Thomas. Besides, Andie would never have to know any of that. Let her live with the memories she presently has of her mother. Never, ever think about changing that, regardless of how much guilt you have to carry around.”

Thomas Gates nodded his head and looked down at the hands he had been wringing for over a minute. “We sometimes have to make hard choices. Until I'm put in my grave I will regret what I did.”

The man's thoughts went back to a time four years earlier in Romania. Thomas Gates had come to wit's end over what to do. He could barely keep his daughter fed, and, at the same time, travel frantically with his wife to support her needs. It was then he thought back to the research he had done years earlier. A village in Romania was steeped in sucubbi legend and had been where a number had met their end. He wasn't sure how the life of a succubus met it's end unless it was somehow locked away and unable to feed. But what cruelty, he thought. How long would someone like his dear wife linger before death finally brought relief? But mainly, he had to come to terms with his ability to do such a horrible thing. It had all finally come down to either the life of his wife or that of his precious daughter.

To his knowledge, his wife had never found the text Thomas had secreted away those many years ago. It explained more than enough to him, though. From his office, he wrote to a man cited as an authority in the article. Almost two months passed before he received a reply. Yes, the man had written, it could and would be done.

Thomas Bates and his wife departed early one Saturday morning from The Gates, leaving Andie once again with one of her friends. It wasn't that unusual, after all, that his wife would accompany him on yet another foreign business trip.

Arriving at the small town a couple of days later, Thomas met the man he had exchanged correspondence with for the first time. He was shocked to see the man was a priest. It was only then and there Thomas found out the shocking truth. Succubi were demons, and the church had become the main entity searching them out for centuries. Their activities were sanctioned at the highest level of the church.

With the thought of his daughter Andie in mind, he begged the priest to tell him how it was to be done and whether or not his wife would suffer for very long. The priest started to refuse, but something stopped the man.

“You haven't had a daughter with this woman, have you?” he asked.

“No, no. We are childless,” Bates replied.

“I see. You know, of course, it would be necessary to have the daughter of any such union destroyed quickly, too. Once her mother is slain, the daughter would soon take on her passion and hunger.”

“Yes. I understand,” replied Bates.

The priest studied him quietly for some long seconds. “Good,” he said, “it is good you do.”

“So then? How is it to be done? Will it take long?”

The priest noticed the man's desperation. He knew, as he had with many others he had dealt with in the past, that the man had reached the end of his rope. He would clearly be in love with the succubus but had come to realize she was destroying everything she touched. And it would only get worse over time.

“It usually does not take very long to put an end to it all. Having knowledge of how it is to be done would bring you no satisfaction,” the priest replied. “It would be best if you went back home and forget everything you can of this part of your life. It will be over soon. You are doing the right thing.”

How could he tell the man how horrific an event it would be, the priest thought. The memory would shatter, utterly destroy any hope he might have to put this all behind him and begin a new life without her presence.

The succubus would be jumped by no fewer than six men once she seductively lured a young man to a quiet, out-of-the-way location and at the precise moment when her total focus would be the offering of the last enticement. Most often this would be a bared breast or a lifted skirt. But it would be impossible for her to enter the trance-like state she had to go into before beginning to draw off the young man's life force, as the men pulled her to the ground and began ripping away here clothing. The ceremonial act required the men to fill her womb with semen, which caused her to focus entirely and greedily upon those deposits. She would immediately stop struggling and beg for more. Over and over again, she would be mounted. Once the priest was satisfied, a wooden cross would be pounded through her heart. And immediately she would be thrown into a large fire, which would be tended until the whole of the earthly body was consumed. The ashes were not allowed to cool before being scooped up into pails and scattered widely around the countryside. Only then would the priest begin the process of consecrating the earth upon which she died. The demon would thus be removed from the earthly domain and sent on to suffer in whatever purgatory such creatures spent eternity.

Thomas Bates was greatly saddened as he bid his wife good hunting their last evening together. He followed his seductively dressed wife out into the evening air and watched her slowly move along a city street he knew would eventually take her to a small park. It was there she hoped to find her next victim.

No sooner than his wife crossed the first intersection, he saw men moving quietly and quickly through the shadows. It was the last time he would ever see his dear wife and mother of his beautiful Andie.

“Are you alright, Thomas?” Dr. Mueller exclaimed.

He shook his head. “Yeah, yeah. Sorry. I was distracted a moment. What were you saying?”

“I said, it appears Andie will be okay. Her examination was as normal as any healthy girl her age. I think this MacAllister is the best thing that could have happened for both of you. Andie was going to eventually kill you, Thomas. You know that.”

“But that still doesn't answer the main question, does it, Peg? How and why did MacAllister and the girl staying with him end up in The Gates without somehow being vetted by Frank? You know there has to be some reason. Frank doesn't know how out of control a succubus can get, does he? How could he?”

“No, Thomas. I can't imagine Frank would know that. There again, I'm not certain if anybody knows exactly what powers one of the sons of Lilith might have. Clearly, Andie didn't resist the man once he broke down her initial protective barrier. He clearly had his way with her.”

“What are you implying, Peg? Is there something else he did to Andie? Something you have yet to tell me about?”

“No, no. He did nothing more. At least nothing Andie admitted to. Once she swallowed the last of his semen, they all sat down for tea. It was as if nothing ever happened. It was all so surreal. Andie said it didn't feel odd until after she got home and thought back on it. But she knew immediately, Thomas, that she had been filled full with what she called a wonderful life force. So maybe it would be best not to speak with Frank at all. I mean, don't bring up the subject of MacAllister. If he should volunteer something, then fine, yes, let him have his say. Beyond that, this will give you a badly needed break. I've been very worried over you and so has Andie. I could tell you had become completely washed out these last couple of months.”

The man once again nodded his head and sighed. “Yes. It wasn't bad when she only fed once or twice each week. She was her mother's daughter. She knows how to tease and how to get me to a state where I ejaculate the most semen I can possibly give her. You have no idea, Peg, how many nights I went to bed with my testicles aching so damn bad. She has become quite a temptress.”

“As do they all, Thomas. You know she can't help herself. She had even spoken to me about ideas to make you desire her even more, to help you produce even more semen. At the same time, she knows how different you are. How unlike a normal male you are. But still, you are just a human male. You are not equipped to handle such a burden. On the other hand, Andie is quickly becoming a mature succubus. So you couldn't have possibly continued feeding her. In my mind, MacAllister is a blessing, no matter how he came to be in The Gates.”

Long seconds passed once again. The doctor allowed him time to ruminate over all that had just been said.

“Now,” the man began, “my main question happens to be if it is possible for the man to take care of both Andie and the other girl, Mariah?

The doctor shook her head. “I already asked myself the same thing. But if there is any truth in what's written here,” she said, once again tapping on the open book on her desk, “I think he will.” She twisted the book around on the desk and pushed it toward him. “Read.”

With that the doctor got up and walked to the office's break room. She put on a short pot of coffee and moved things about in the refrigerator, realizing she had not eaten a scrap of anything since breakfast. She gave up and walked back to the sink, reached into an open cabinet for two coffee mugs and stood pondering the possibilities and options a man, or being, such as MacAllister brought to the table.

Thomas Bates walked into the break room a few minutes later, having smelled the brewing coffee. He sat down at the table and slumped back in the chair.

“You're tired as hell, Thomas. Why don't you take a few days off and get some rest?”

He released a long sigh. “I damn well wish I could, Peg, but it's impossible just now. I'm swamped. We have two projects ready to close and at least three proposals to complete before the first of next month. I think I'll be okay if MacAllister doesn't suddenly up and disappear.”

“Did you read the text?”

He nodded his head in affirmation. “Yes. I still don't believe it. It's just too incredible.”

“But I think I understand why they are unknown. There are so few of them. And that is one of the questions I plan on asking MacAllister when I met him. And I will meet him. I assure you. He's got to be made to understand he just can't get up and leave without taking Andie into consideration. I truthfully doubt, Thomas, that you will ever be able to again feed her unless her cravings have been curbed by MacAllister. Even then, you would have to be very careful.”

He shifted in his chair and slowly lowered the coffee mug back to the table. “I've already thought about that very thing. So, as you can imagine, one thing I must find out from the man has to do with his long-term plans. Well, just one of many things, actually.”

“Yes, I agree,” was the only reply the doctor gave, as she lifted the hot mug of coffee back once more to her lips. Her mind was deep in thought.

After many silent seconds passed between them, Bates quietly whispered out, “I wonder if how long they live is true? Is it possible? He would be ageless.”

“I don't doubt it. Look at the vampires amongst us.”

“Yeah. You're right. I oftentimes forget about that. Well, I must be off, Peg. Thank you for insisting on me meeting you. I really appreciate it. This last hour was well spent, believe me.”

“Yes, Thomas,” the doctor replied. “I think so, too. I just hope it works out for both of you. Please let me know immediately if you notice any changes, whether physical, mental or emotional.”

“I will, Peg. Thanks.”
