“What do you mean, ‘His arm came off’? And please, be specific.”
He took one glance over Sherlock’s mouth curving into a wicked smile, watching his eyes catching blue fire as Lestrade repeated himself. John grabbed both their coats, discerning ‘liquid nitrogen’ and ‘frozen alive’ from the discussion, the words rousing Sherlock from his intent, inane staring at the sofa’s fibres.
For the moment it took John to take Sherlock’s mobile and deposit it in his pocket, he wondered what he was, then, when his own smile matched Sherlock’s gleeful passion at the prospect of having a bit of fun.
