The Lady Gaga Principle
Note: This is a rewrite of The Left/Right Brain Collision. A re-write had to be done. It just happens. Sorry folks.
This was inspired by music. Lady Gaga, Rocky Horror and just the sheer magic of really good rock and roll.
The new title is based on Annie's theory that if you meet someone during a Lady Gaga song, you're doomed to fall in love. That or if Rocky Horror is involved. So far, she's been right.

Chapter 1: Lovegame
The comic book store was celebrating its tenth anniversary. To mark the occasion, Stuart had broached the idea of a party/sale on the date. Much to his surprise, the boss agreed. He wouldn't be in attendance, so it would be just Stuart, as usual. He had asked Penny to help him decorate the store. She didn't have much to work with, just a lot of cardboard cutouts and posters. She ran down to the dollar store and brought streamers and balloons. Leonard was enlisted to help blow them up the morning of the party, with Howard and Raj. Sheldon just sat in a corner, rifling through the sale bins and setting aside what he was going to buy.
"How's it going?" Stuart asked Penny, who was now setting up the sound system. Stuart had also left the music to her. The playlist had taken a couple hours to create, and she was confident in its greatness.
"Great, we're almost done!" Penny said cheerfully.
"The place looks great," Stuart commented and checked his watch. It was almost time to open the doors.
At exactly eleven am, Stuart unlocked the doors. People, curious as to what all the commotion and streamers were about had been crowding outside the door. Most of the them went away as soon as they figured it out it was a comic book store, not something they found interesting. Sheldon purchased his comics and hid them in the back room, fearing someone would steal them.
"I'm ready to go home," he announced.
"The party just started!" Penny protested as she danced by the Flash standee, much to the delight of the regulars and some strays from the street.
"I already got what I wanted," Sheldon protested.
"Stay. Have fun."
Her tone told Sheldon he had no choice in the matter. Howard was off flirting with a blond/brunette duo that found him amusing. Raj was there as well, shyly exchanging glances with the brunette. Leonard was at Penny's side, although he refused to dance. Sheldon just stood there, watching and feeling trapped.
On the other side of the store, a young woman was facing the same problem. Her friends were flirting with some geeky looking guys, while she stood in the corner and looked through the superhero comics. One of them, Naomi, broke away from her little group and dragged her away from the bin.
"Get out there, party," Hailey ordered her friend. The red-head ducked her head and shook it, her frizzy curls smacking Hailey.
"No," Magenta muttered. "I just want comics."
"Sweetie, you're great and I love you, but you can be a great big fucking bore sometimes."
"Gee, thanks for the support."
"Dance to one song, and I will leave you alone."
"Fine. But who am I going to dance with? Captain Sweatpants over there?" They both took one look and shuddered.
"Okay, okay." Hailey looked around. "How about the tall one over there?" She pointed to a man in plaid pants and Batman t-shirt. Magenta nodded her agreement and Hailey gave her a little push.
"Um, hi." Sheldon heard a female voice utter those words. He looked to his left to see a woman standing next to him. "Would you like to dance?"
"No. I do not dance. It is not a personal affront," he answered.
"Okay," she gave him a funny look and turned away. Penny saw this exchange and left Leonard alone to deal with this.
"He'd love to," Penny said firmly, giving Sheldon a look of death
*Let's have some fun,
This beat is sick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick*
She pushed Sheldon towards the woman, who looked a bit confused and scared. Sheldon realized that he couldn't really dance. He informed the woman of this and she smiled.
"I can't dance very well either," she said.
"Then why did you ask me to dance if you do not know how to dance?" Sheldon raised an eyebrow.
"My friends are making me be social."
"My friends do that as well."
*I wanna kiss you
But if I do then I might miss you babe
It's complicated and stupid
Got my ass squeezed by sexy Cupid*
They stood there for a few minutes, until the song was over, making small talk until her friends dragged her away.
"Who was that girl you were talking to?" Leonard asked later.
"I don't know," Sheldon answered. "She didn't tell me her name."
"Did you get her number?" Howard asked.
"No. Why would I?"
