You Wish

Title: You Wish
Author: Jessjess
Fandom: Stargate Atlantis
Pairing: OT4
Warning: Minor Humor
Author's Note: I don't think of this as terribly good, but I've hardly put out anything in the last year. The problem I have with Stargate Atlantis is that I can hardly picture Teyla and Ronon with anyone but their teammates, and only as a group at that. No one else is good enough because they ended up with a much better team dynamic than the original SG-1, less trust issues. Anyway, Teyla is hot and should strut her stuff all day long. You go Rachel!

The first time Teyla Emmagen hummed the song John Sheppard nearly choked himself in a coughing fit. She had chosen her time carefully to remind him of the foolish antics outside women committed around the men of her team. It was as the older women of her world had claimed; the men were blind to the countless repeats of the same scenario around them again and again.

The people of the Pegasus Galaxy had developed a system of defense when it came to those coming through the ring of the Ancestors. It's blatency missed by the new Lanteans in an effort to treat others with equality, but brutally obvious to a leader of people. The most attractive were enticed into service to lure in other scientific minds or a better gene pool to add. Her team tended to confuse those with needs which is why there was always a pretty scientist on hand to flirt with John only to realize too late that Rodney was where she should have focussed her attention. Ronon was less of a worry. Anyone soliciting his attention was bluntly told of his allegience to his team. The Satedans that slipped in through the cracks formed by the destruction of their homeword were worrying.

She had begun her campaign of "opening team doors" in self defense. Slippign from one bed to the other kept them from... wasting time on minor details. It had taken some subtle maneuvering on her part to get them to acknowledge the desire to see each other in bed, but nothing too difficult. It had been more of an lack of awareness rather than distaste. They now happily entertained the other should she be otherwise needed.

It was an endless source of private amusement that the healer Jennifer Keller had recognized her garb as special when she courted Kanaan's bloodline, but fail to see the allure her everyday dress provided her team. Another of the peculiar Lantean blind spots based in courtesy. Kanaan provided an excellent diversion so that few knew of his role as Torren's father and cradle watcher, but nothing more. Teyla of the Athosians was committed to her team.

She sent a brief prayer of thanks to her friend Kate Heightmeyer for the introduction of the song that kept her men in line. Indeed the women of the Pegasus Galaxy could only wish to be "hot" like her.
