I don't own Heroes nor am I making any money off this story
T.A.R.D.I.S.
A.N.: I'm not sure exactly what's going to happen, so the warnings will be upgraded as needed. This chapter is basically a discussion of Hiro's powers, but it's important to later chapters.
The tests confirmed it. I'm aging slower now than a normal human. They thinks it's because of my time hopping and I guess it makes sense.
The hardest part of using my powers is making sure I eat properly. It takes a lot more energy than one would expect to bounce from time to time. It's so easy to get confused as to when the last time I ate or slept was, even with this sense of a temporal place holder that indicates my proper time. I can spend 3 "days" hopping from time and place to time and place only to arrive back at when I left only an hour after eating lunch that day.
And that's another thing. People assume my teleportation is a separate power from my time traveling but it's not. Did you ever see that show Dr. Who? The Doctor travels around in a space ship called a T.A.R.D.I.S., which is an acronym for time and relative dimensions in space. Basically, it moves the doctor not only to a specific when, but also to the exact where of that when....
Err, well basically think of it like this: The universe is always moving, if I were to teleport to last thursday without taking that into account I would end up somewhere out in the middle of space. The first few times I time hopped I was running purely on instinct so it corrected itself automatically, but as I gained more control I once or twice ended up out in the middle of space. Luckily, by freezing time I gave myself enough time to teleport back before I suffocated.
You're wondering why this is so important to what I'm doing here? I will tell you.
It all started with a man named Sylar....
(POV CHANGE 3P)
Hiro managed to stumble back to his apartment and collapse on the couch instead of where he had landed when he returned. He was grateful to Nathan Petrelli but some days he was tempted to just run away for a while, if only to get a decent amount of sleep. He was so intent on getting back to his apartment that he utterly failed to notice that someone was following him.
When he next woke up he started to panic when he realized he couldn't move.
"Hello Hiro." Sylar said as he stepped into view.
