"Undo it," she requested quietly. He looked at her.

"You are certain?" he questioned. She nodded once and his face tightened, a solemn look gracing his features.

"Then it shall be done."

The hospital door slid open almost noiselessly as Dr. Richards walked into the room, smiling at the patient. An older-looking gentleman walked in after her.

"Hello, Rodney. How're you doing today?" He smiled openly at her.

"Oh, I'm doing great. When Colonel Sheppard was here, he was telling me about how I'm a part of this group of scientists who're working on this important assignment. He couldn't give me all the details though, he said I'd be reintroduced to them again tomorrow, when he's coming back to take me to Colorado." She grinned.

"Really? That's wonderful, Rodney. It must be nice to hear about such things."

"It'll be even better when I can remember them."

"Yes, well, don't force it, though, Rodney. You know that you just have to be patient." She nudged Rodney into bending his legs to sit in a criss-crossed position as she sat on the bed in front of him.

"Now, Rodney," she grabbed one of his hands in hers; he looked at her curiously, "this is my friend who's going to help you remember, all right? He'll just help things along."

"Really?" His eyes sparked in excitement. She nodded.

"Yes. Now, when you remember everything again, Rodney, I want you to promise me something."

"Anything," he replied easily, complete trust shining in his eyes.

"I want you to promise me, Rodney, that you will take care of yourself. That means eating regularly, sleeping normally, keeping yourself safe..." He nodded.

"But, most importantly, Rodney, I want you to promise me that you will take care of Atlantis." Rodney looked confused.

"Promise me, Rodney, that you'll keep her running. That you'll keep her people safe. Atlantis will only suffer without you."

"Are you ready?" the other man inquired. She nodded, grasping Rodney's hand tighter.

"I am. Undo it."

Rodney's eyes, confused eyes, connected with her eyes, deep, soulful blue eyes. The man made a quiet sound, like a deep sigh. Her grip tightened almost painfully. Her breath hitched, the noise cutting off halfway as she struggled for air. Concerned eyes bore into deep pleading eyes.

"I promise." The words came out of their own accord. Her eyes changed: they were full of love and adoration just as Rodney made a small, pained sound.

For split second, his incendiary eyes, sparked with forgotten knowledge, started into her eyes, before her eyes broke and she began to fall forward, limp.

"It has been undone." The man exploded into a white glowing light; Rodney started at the lifeless eyes in front of him, that only seconds ago were filled with such life; such warmth. His throat tightened. His slowly breaking eyes looked up towards the Ascended being.

"It has been undone." The voice was disembodied now, and it made Rodney want to vomit. His arms curled around the unnaturally still-warm body, hugging her to his chest.

"Undo it," he whispered, as broken as her eyes. The Ascended being hesitated for the briefest of seconds before vanishing.

"It has been undone." It was a whispered echo that left Rodney feeling as dead and broken inside as she was.
