Rena said apologetically to Jan.

Remember, I have to babysit my cousin Kal-El tonight for Uncle Jor-El and Aunt Lara-El, maybe you could come over?" She said with a wink.
"Sure!" Jan-Es said, smiling happily, as Rena pulled Kara Zor-El along without even a bye Jan-Es from her lips. Jan-Es was left there and so he walked home, alone. Sure, I can send it to her, but aren't those three words better to be said than texted to someone? The message could get lost. She could think Oh it's Jan-Es again, better delete the message. Kara Zor-El was never late for babysitting duty, so she just arrived after having drank a strawberry milkshake with the girls, gossiping about all kinds of stuff... but also about Jan-Es.
