Memory Lane

Disclaimer: Sierra is the only character I own. I do not own SGA or any of the characters.

Author’s notes: this is my first story ever and it’s really written mostly for me. :-p. I would appreciate any feedback from anyone who happens to read this though, as I’d like to improve my writing.

Chapter 1

Dr. Beckett walked out of the room drying his hands off. He looked at the team standing in waiting room.
“She’s lost a lot of blood, but she’ll be fine...”
The team let out a collective sigh of relief.
“Uh, there’s more.”
“More?” questioned John Sheppard. “She’s not going to be out of service is she? We need her.”
“No. Not for a few months, at least. It’s just that…she’s pregnant.”
A stunned silence followed as everyone processed what they’d just heard.
“How many months along is she?” asked Tayla
“Two months”
“She’s been with us for three months so it couldn’t have been from the rape.”
Dr. Beckett when back to the room and the team looked around at each other. They spent a better part of an hour loudly “discussing” their opinions on who the father was. Tayla swore it was a native Atlantean, Col. Sheppard and Dr. McKay “knew” it was someone on the Atlantis team. Several minutes into the argument over which team member it was, Tayla looked over at Ronon who had been sitting there watching them.
“You know something, don’t you!” she accused him, playfully. He sat up and slouched forward, suddenly becoming very interested in the cup he was holding.
“I was only kidding, but you DO know something!” she said louder, this time catching everyone’s attention. His next words surprised them all.
“Yeah, I do.” He said with a grin. They all looked at him expectantly but he said nothing. He looked defiantly back at them, determined not to say a thing. Finally John pulled the dreaded “friend” card.
“Hey, you’re supposed to be my best friend! We’re supposed to tell each other everything!” Tayla looked at him suspiciously. “Uh, almost everything.” He quickly added. Ronan looked at him guiltily, for he took this role very seriously.
“Smysn” He muttered quickly. McKay felt he’d been quiet for long enough and blurted out a rather loud “Whothewhatnow?”
“My Son. She’s carrying my son.” He became very interested in a poster on the wall so as to avoid everyone’s gaze. He turned around and, despite his best efforts, broke into a wide grin. Sheppard half tackled him and gave him a hug and congratulated him. Tayla, apparently wanting to hear this from Sierra, slipped into her room. This left Rodney standing there looking confused.
“Wait, what? When did this happen?”
“Two months ago? You know McKay, for being a ‘brilliant military scientist’ you don’t seem to know much about this sort of thing. You need a woman.” shot back John as he and Ronan turned to leave the medical facilities. They left Rodney standing there muttering to himself.
“Hey, I’ll meet you later. I need to go take care of a few things” Ronan said as he went off to his room.

An hour later, he stood in the shower and found his mind wandering to the events of the past few months.
