They Called Her Marmee...

Disclaimer: Don't own diddly. Borrowed the name 'Marmee Noir' from Anita Blake.
Note: The ofc that was nicknamed Marmee is mine. And the Xena/Hercules thing will be explained later...possibly.

She walked up to the DJ, whispering in his ear not to worry about the cops. That some friends of hers were waiting for them with 'permits' for the party. The DJ gave out the announcement and laughed aloud when the crowd started to scramble. Then he told them that it was alright, that someone had their asses covered and the crowd went back to partying.

"Got a song you'd like to request?" He said to her over the mic.
She glared at him half-heartedly when the entire party crowd turned to look at her. Then she smiled evilly, something the Sons recognized on Aaron Abbott, since they seemed to be the focus of it for years.

"Actually, yeah, I do," She chuckled, then dug around in her pocket for her I-Pod, pulling up a playlist before hooking the I-Pod up to the stereo system.
She pushed play and 'Ay Chico' by Pitbull played.

"How's that?" She asked before taking a running jump off the stage, doing a twisting flip in the air before landing like a cat in the sand.
She danced through the crowd, entrancing those near her. When the song changed to 'Beating Me Down' by Korn, there was a mosh pit that she actually inspired a few of the boys there to create. One kid almost called her Akasha by the way she danced. Which was rather funny since she was the one who taught Akasha to dance. She smirked when 'Bojangles' started cause she could feel the Sons of Ipswich walking closer to her. It's not like she actually tried to attract those with The Power, it just happened. But what the Covenant didn't seem to get is that what happened after those with The Power found her was of their own free will.
And when the song reached 'Buttons', they were almost there. She could feel them like a chill through her body, like one of those ones that you get when someone slowly draws a downy feather over your skin. Men seemed to flock to her when she danced to that song, like bees to soda...or whatever the hell the phrase is. She smirked when it changed to 'Change In The House Of Flies', and that's when she decided to go 'Akasha' on them. She mimicked every movement, every turn of her body, replicating the dance that Aaliyah did in the movie perfectly. When the song flipped to 'Cyclone', she laughed, they had reached her. She turned to see them standing there behind her.

"Well, hello, boys," She chuckled.
--
Caleb Danvers, Pogue Parry, Reid Garwin, and Tylers Simms stood there, in utter shock. The 'woman' tapped their chins closed.

"Now, boys, don't want to get all sorts of nasty ooglies in your mouth," She told them.
--
She rolled her eyes at the boys. Standing there like their brains had just been fried.

"Speak, boy!" She snickered.
Which finally earned her an action from the boys. The light blonde laughed, the shorter brunette held the laughter in, the darker blonde was rather amused, and the tallest of them, the other brunette glared at her. She could see his eyes flare and his hands formed fists.

"Just what are you?" He hissed at her.
She grabbed his hand and squeezed, looking blankly into the boy's eyes.

"You already know what I am, sweetheart," She told him, barely noticing the song changing.
--
Aaron noticed the way that Caleb was glaring at the girl and she was standing there like nothing was happening. And from the looks of it, the way that she was squeezing his hand was rather painful. He chuckled silently, stood back, and watched the show.
--
"You already know exactly what I am, beautiful," She growled low in her throat, "and let me just tell you something. The Covenant hates me. Hates me because I am more powerful than them, then all four of your combined and that's after you have Ascended. Funny fucking thing, gorgeous, I know who created The Power, I talk to the bastard on a daily basis. The Covenant squandered their power before the Covenant was formed..."
--
Kate and Sarah watched, unhearing of what was said, as the girl seemed to be facing Caleb down.
--
"They lied...The Fucking Covenant lied. The Power never stemmed from what they made the Book say. It stemmed from a God that they murdered. They killed him and they got themselves cursed for it. It was a balance thing. He gave The Power to his Priests and Priestesses, but the creators of the Covenant couldn't handle their women having The Power, so they bound it. That's what fucked them over. The women had to have it. And your father will die because his wife doesn't have it."
--
People had been trying to listen in, but couldn't really hear anything, thanks to the music. Which she and the Sons were rather thankful for.
--
"Any woman who married into a bloodline and did not have The Power...they would have gotten it upon the day of their wedding, after the vows. It's because of the curse that Ascensions are painful..." She looked to Reid, but quickly looked away, "you four are even lucky to be alive. Because Ascensions can kill..."
Tyler stepped forward.

"It's going to kill Reid, isn't it?" He asked, "that's why you looked at him like that."
She lowered her head for a moment, taking a breath before she lifted it and nodded.

"Sorry, sweetness," She said softly, "but there is a way around that."
"How?" he asked.
She let go of Caleb's fist and stepped up to Tyler, patting his cheek softly.

"You remind me of him sometimes..."
"Who?"
"The one who created The Power."
"Really?"
She nodded.

"Erin was one of the coolest people alive," She chuckled, "but people underestimated him."
