More Than One Bolt From The Blue
Complete and Total Fantasy
Author's Note: Angel Grove is in California, and according to the Legal Laws of Sexual Consent in the USA, Homosexual Age of Consent is 18 in California. Although, in other parts of the country, the age is 16 or 17, so going by the Human Age of Consent law in Cali, there is underage homosexual sex going on, since Billy is, at the point the sex comes in, 17 going on 18. Since 18 is the LAoC, I put the 'sex with minor' warning in. I leave you to decide . . .
Spoiler Warning: Lots (far too many to list) of spoilers for the first three seasons of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, a few for PR:Zeo, and a couple for PRiSpace. However, if I believe there are specific episodes (and I know the titles) I think there are major spoilers for, I'll try to warn in the chapters where they appear. Otherwise, consider PR continually spoiled right from MMPR: Day of the Dumpster to PRiS: Countdown to Destruction.

“Come on, guys,” Kimberly said as she looked around. “I don’t really think we ought to be doing this. I mean, those are his personal files.”
“Zordon is dead, Kim,” Adam said. “Aren’t you even the least bit curious?”
“Yeah,” Aisha said. “Don’t you want to know what Zordon thought? I certainly do.”
“I’m not that sure,” Zack frowned slightly. “I mean, we didn’t exactly make a very good first impression. We took his coins and Morphers, and just walked out, determined never to return.”
“You made a better first impression than I did,” Tommy grinned. “I mean, I tried to destroy him . . . and you. And yet, he made me White Ranger. I mean, he and Alpha went to all the trouble to create a coin and a suit just for me.”
“I wanted to stay,” Jason said, and shrugged. “But I went with the crowd on that one. As I recall, Billy wanted to stay as well.”
“Yeah, but knowing Billy, he just wanted to study the controls or Alpha, or something,” Rocky smiled sadly at the thought of one of their two missing comrades.
“True,” Kimberly nodded, and gripped Tommy’s arm tightly as tears gathered in her eyes. “Thank goodness we always had Trini there to translate his ‘Speak’ for us.”
“You know,” Zack said, as he gazed at the suddenly sad faces. “I know we all got together to like, remember Trini, Billy, and Zordon, but maybe this wasn’t such a good idea,” he looked around the destroyed Power Chamber, and sighed. “I mean, we know what happened to Trini and Zordon, but Billy’s being gone and never contacting us again, is just wrong.”
“But we came here to put things to rest,” Adam said. “After all, it’s been a couple years since the battle against all the forces of Evil, when Zordon sacrificed himself for us, and the majority of the planet doesn’t even know it.”
“And as for Trini,” Kimberly sniffed. “We didn’t get a chance to mourn her as a group because of that stupid car accident. I don’t know about you, but I need this.”
“Billy would have called it a catharsis,” Rocky said, and the others looked at him, surprised, and he grinned. “I know what a dictionary is. If Billy threw a new word at me, I simply went home and looked it up . . . or I’d use a handheld computer he gave me one year for Christmas,” Rocky smiled sadly. “I still have it, and I’m telling you, it’s better than all the computers that take up space on a desk.”
“The earth definitely lost a brilliant mind when he went into space,” Tommy said, and the others nodded.
“But this doesn’t solve the problem of looking into Zordon’s personal journal,” Aisha said, and the others nodded.
“Okay, tell you what,” Tommy said. “If we come across something that is too personal, we’ll stop watching it, all right?”
“Okay,” Kimberly nodded, and Zack shrugged.
“I agree,” he said, and looked over at Aisha, who also nodded.
“As do I,” she looked over at Adam, who pursed his lips, and looked around at the debris, and then at the console before them.
“I’m with you, but hasn’t it occurred to anyone that it’s a bit odd that this is the only thing that works in this place, and that it didn’t start working until we were all here together?
“What do you mean?” Rocky asked, and Adam gazed at each of them.
“Well, Aisha and I got here first,” Adam said, and pointed around him. “And absolutely nothing was on, no flashing, no beeping, nothing. And then I was joined by Zack . . .”
“And everything was still dark,” Zack nodded. “Even when Tommy and Kimberly came in, nothing was on.”
“Jason walked in,” Kimberly nodded. “Nothing happened.”
“Then I entered, and this console lit up like a dim Christmas tree,” Rocky said.
“And look around,” Jason indicated the others with his head. “With the exception of Aisha, Adam, and Rocky, everyone here is from the first string of Power Rangers. Aisha, replaced Trini, and she’s here, but Trini couldn’t be. Adam replaced Zack, but Zack’s here. Rocky replaced me, but we’re both here. Kat’s not here, but Kimberly is, and no one from the third grouping is. There’s only one color from the originals not here . . . which is probably why Zack is.”
“Blue,” they all said in unison and Adam and Jason nodded.
“And that makes every color represented, at least by person, if not by color. Tommy, green, white, and/or red. Kimberly, pink. Adam, I’m assuming would be black. Zack, since though you were black, you’re from the first string, so I’d say you could also be blue. Aisha, yellow. Rocky, red. Jason, red, though at one time he was also gold, even if it didn’t agree with him.”
“So, maybe we’re not here just to mourn old friends,” Aisha said, and again, Adam nodded.
“It is kind of strange,” Zack said, and looked around at the group. “But the Command center was destroyed, and there’s no power in it. It couldn’t possibly have sent out some sort of psychic message to get us all here. Especially now, a year after what supposedly was the final battle.”
“And yet,” Rocky said. “We’re all here at the same time, and brought by the same desire . . .”
“To put our pasts to rest,” Kimberly concluded.
“Look,” Adam pulled out his broken Morpher. “I carry this around with me all the time. Am I the only one?”
“No,” Kimberly blushed, and pulled out her Morpher, devoid of a Power Coin.
“Me too,” Rocky said, and pulled out his Morpher, also missing a coin.
“So do I,” Aisha nodded, and held out her Morpher.
“I couldn’t part with it,” Zack said. “Just because I didn’t have the powers any more, and because I don’t have a coin, doesn’t mean I wanted to forget the lessons I learned.”
“I felt the same,” Jason said, and pulled out his Morpher. “We may have transferred the powers and the coin, but the hardware stayed with us,” he pulled out his Morpher too, and they all looked over at Tommy, who blushed and pulled out his Morpher as well.
“I never knew when it would come in handy again,” he said, and they sighed as they looked at one another.
“So, you think these have something to do with the fact we’re here?” Aisha asked Adam, and he nodded.
“Look, this is going to sound crazy, but I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t work, I couldn’t do anything for a while, except think about Angel Grove, and coming back here.”
“Doesn’t sound crazy to me,” Aisha shook her head. “I was right there beside you going through it too.”
“And once you were here, in Angel Grove, you couldn’t do anything until you came here,” Tommy said, and they all nodded.
“So, we can deny it all we want, and call it as much of a coincidence as we want, but it seems we’re here for a reason,” Zack concluded.
“Yeah, and all we have to do, is find that reason,” Jason said, and they shrugged.
“And, since we were led to this, and it seems to be the only thing here that works, then we can safely assume we were meant to find this,” Rocky looked down at the slightly glowing console, and Kimberly shrugged.
“Might as well find out what that reason is,” she smiled, and Tommy hit the play button.
