Blessed
"I'm blessed, I really am." Tai-san whispered, as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. Moments later, her blue and white braids were pushed aside. Tai-san felt him kissing her neck. "Good morning. I like waking up like this." She said and then smiled. He kissed her neck again, and then turned Tai-san around to face him. He looked into her eyes. "So do I, it feels great." Slade said softly. He pulled her into a gentle hug, and Tai-san felt herself getting lost in his eyes. Seconds later, she felt his lips on hers, and gave into the feeling. It felt great, as he kissed her. She never wanted it to end. Tai-san loved being with Slade. He understood her perfectly.
Before things could begin to heat up, Tai-san gently pushed Slade away. "We need to meet the others in the cafe. Amber and Jay have called a meeting, and everyone needs to be there." She said softly. Slade rolled his eyes, but nodded, and he turned around, grabbing a shirt, pulled it on as Tai-san finished getting dressed. She was lacing up her shoes, when Slade kissed her on the neck again. "Slade, this is serious. We can't miss the meeting." Tai-san said to her boyfriend. "We are having major problems with our security. We need to figure out a way to fix things, or we'll have to take turns on guard." Slade nodded. "Okay." He said simply.
Tai-san got up, and she felt Slade slip his hand in hers, as they walked down the hall, and then walked into the cafe a few minutes later. As the couple walked into the cafe, every head turned in surprise, in their direction, but Tai-san wouldn't let them know how uncomfortable she felt with them looking at her. With a false calm she didn't feel, Tai-san took a seat at one of the table's, Slade sitting right beside her. After a few moments, everyone turned their attention to Amber again, her entrance with Slade, already forgotten. As Amber and Jay explained what they were going to do, Tai-san went still. She didn't know why, but she felt weird.
The next thing Tai-san knew, the world went dark. Slade, who had been listening to Amber and Bray, who were now arguing with Lex and Ebony, quickly picked Tai-san up, and laid her on the sofa. He hoped she was okay, and wondered why she had fainted. Amber and Jay quit talking when they saw Slade pick up Tai-san and put her on the sofa. The couple rushed over to Slade's side. "Is she alright? What happened?" Amber demanded. Slade shrugs, after he put Tai-san on the sofa. He turns to face Amber. "I don't know." Slade said. "Maybe she's sick." Jay suggested. Amber and Slade stared at Jay. "Why else would she faint?" He asked them.
Slade decided that he didn't want to be the center of attention any longer, looked at Amber and said, "Tell me me later, okay?" When Amber nodded, Slade picked Tai-san up again, and took her back upstairs to her room, and he laid her down in her bed. 4 hours later, Tai-san came to. When she opened her eyes, it was to see Slade sitting next to her, putting a cold wash cloth on her forehead. "Are you okay?" Tai-san nodded, and she tried to sit up. After that, she tried to get up. However, when she did, the room began to spin dangerously. Right before she would have hit the floor, Slade caught her. He helped Tai-san back into the bed. "Whoa, careful now."
Tai-san nodded, but then quickly stopped, when her head began to hurt. "Tai, what's wrong?" Slade asked softly, as he gently ran the wash cloth over her forehead once more. "I'm pregnant, as you know, it's just, for some reason, I haven't been feeling good today." Tai-san said to Slade. Slade nodded. "That's to be expected." He said cautiously. Tai-san went on. "I just... Well, I wasn't feeling good this morning, but I didn't want to wake you." Slade took both of Tai-san's hands into his. "You should have woke me up. I want you to wake me up, if you feel bad, or if you think something is wrong. I don't want you to hurt the yourself or the baby. Okay Tai?"
Tai-san nodded. "Okay..." She said softly, as Slade hugged her. "I'll be more careful." Slade nodded. "That's all I ask. I just want the two of you to be safe, and to be around for a long time." He said softly, concerned. "You don't have to worry anymore. I will take it easy." Tai-san said to him. Slade nodded again, and he hugged Tai-san close. "You know I love you, right? And it's why I worry so much." Tai-san nodded. "I know." She said softly, and held his hand. Slade gently placed his hand on Tai-san's stomach. He smiled seconds later, feeling the baby kick. Tai-san smiled too. She loved watching Slade, every time he felt the baby kick. Slade laughed.
Tai-san pulled away a moment later, and Slade wondered what was wrong. Looking at her boyfriend, she asked, "When do you want to set the wedding?" Tai-san asked softly. Slade shrugged. "I don't know. When do you want to have it?" Tai-san sighed softly, and she laid back down. All of this was giving her a headache. Slade pushed Tai-san's braids out of her face. "Don't worry about it right now. You don't need to get all upset or worked up when you're pregnant." He said, concerned. Tai-san nodded. She slipped her hand in Slade's and gently tugged his hand, so that he would lie down with her. The couple began to calm down and relax moments later.
"I love you." Tai-san said to Slade. Slade kissed his girlfriend's hand. "I love you too." Tai-san closed her eyes for several minutes, and then she opened them. She looked at Slade. "Do you really think we should hide the fact that I'm pregnant from everyone?" Slade nodded. "It's for the best, at least for right now. That way if anything would happen, no one would know, and this way they wouldn't go straight for you." He said to her. Tai-san nodded, and then she laid her head down on his chest. Slade ran his fingers through Tai-san's hair. "I'm going to be here for you, always. Trust me, I love you, and our baby." Tai-san nodded. "I can't wait for our daughter to be born."
Slade smiled at Tai-san, who was slowly but surely falling asleep. "Neither can I, Tai-san, neither can I. Our daughter is going to be beautiful, with long, dark black hair, and a wonderful smile, one just like her mom." Slade said softly. Tai-san smiled at her fiancé, and then fell asleep. Slade laughed softly, and he placed the cool towel on Tai-san's forehead once again. He loved her even more, as he watched her sleep. Pressing a soft kiss to her lips, and then one to each of Tai-san's temples, Slade said softly. "I love you, and can't wait to begin our family." He got a blanket and covered the two of them up, not wanting Tai-san and the baby to get sick.
The End.
