Take Me Home

Title: Part 1
Author/Artist: Yuki
Pairing: Josh/Drake, slight DrakexOC and JoshxOC
Fandom: Drake & Josh
Theme: # 21 - violence: pillage/plunder: extortion
Disclaimer: I do not own Drake & Josh. It'd be a lot more fit for Logo than Nick. This is pure fiction. I don't even know Drake Bell or Josh Peck...though, I have seen Drake in concert.

"Josh...I need you..." Drake said softly, eyes sliding closed. "...I...I need you to come and pick me up."

Josh clung to the phone on the other end. Something wasn't right. He could tell that much. Drake was never this soft spoken after a concert. Josh had a feeling he should have stayed. He knew he should have been there for his brother. Where was Trevor? Drake's band?

"It's cool, man! How many times have you heard me sing?" Drake said, laughing.

Josh had frowned. He knew he had to do some serious studying. Drake just had to perform the night before his S.A.T.s. "I'll come and pick you up at least?"

"Don't worry about that. Trevor's gonna give me a ride home."

So much for that. "Alright...I'll be right there! Don't go anywhere!" Josh halfway pleaded. He bit his lip, ran downstairs and pulled on his coat before heading out the door.

It didn't take long to get to the shabby little club where Drake had sung. It didn't even take long to find Drake. He was slouching off to the side of the building, hugging himself like he was cold even though the evening was fairly warm enough and Josh had made sure Drake had a sweater when he left.

Josh parked by the sidewalk and got out of the car and started to walk towards his brother. "Hey, where's your guit-"

The sight of his brother made him regret even opening his mouth. Drake looked...dirty. His shirt had gotten ripped somehow. There was a bruise forming on his cheek and ...he wasn't even wearing any shoes! He was going to get sick!

"Hey...Josh... " Josh winced at how broken his voice sounded. "Thanks for coming to get me."

Josh frowned, stepping closer to Drake, gently moving a hand to comb the shaggy redish brown hair out of Drake's face, only to find he had a black eye to match the bruise. "Drake..." He paused when Drake tensed and looked like he was trying to will himself to pass through the brick wall. Drake almost looked like he regreted calling Josh.

"Was there a fight or something?" Josh asked, mentally forcing himself not to reach out for Drake physically.

"Or something." Drake spat, stiffly straightening and giving his head a small toss to resettle his hair and pushed off the wall. He instantly felt the pain shoot down his spine and closed his eyes tightly, trying to ignore the faint wetness he felt at his eyelashes.

"Drake?" Josh asked again, eyes widening as he moved closer to his brother just in case he stumbled. He could feel his heart racing. His eyes burning with the forming tears. He wouldn't pry, though. "Come...Come on. There's a first aid kit in the car..."

Drake nodded and slowly made his way over to the car. Josh opened the door for him and waited for Drake to plop himself into the chair. The look on Drake's face was enough to let Josh know that he was in pain.

Josh was gentle with the pads. He knew the medicine stung and Drake insisted on hissing at him and glaring. Josh ignored it, though. He knew he'd be doing the same thing if it were him.

"Okay..." Josh said, looking mostly satisfied. Drake at least looked less...tossed around. Josh smiled, his head tilting a little before he pulled off his sweater and handed it to Drake. "Here...put this on so no one sees your shirt at least when we get home. Megan's at a friend's house. Mom and Dad went out but they might be back by now..." Josh said honestly as he glanced at his watch to avoid watching the pained expression on Drake's face as he pulled on the sweater.

"Where are your shoes?" Josh asked once Drake had turned himself around, staring breathlessly at the windshield.

Drake shook his head. "Don't care. Don't want them back. Everything else is in Trevor's van..."

Josh nodded, closing the door before rushing around to the other side of the car and hopping inside. He decided against asking anymore questions. Something had happened but Drake was safe now. "There's some pain pills in the glovebox."

Josh was pleased when they arrived at the house and his parents still weren't home. He let out a sigh of relief as he helped Drake move slowly up the stairs. And, after several ews and no ways, Josh got Drake to agree to a bath, Josh right there at the side of the tub with him.

Drake kept glaring at him even as Josh carefully blew a handful of bubbles at him. All Drake wanted to do was curl up and die and it seemed like Josh was trying to keep him from doing just that.

Josh hadn't asked about the bruises on Drake's body. He hadn't commented on the ones on his chest, back, hips, arms or wrists. While Drake wondered about that, he was glad that Josh just seemed to understand that it wasn't something Drake wanted to have to relive by talking about it. Though, Drake had caught Josh staring several times. That amused him more than it disgusted him, though. He'd think about reasons later.

Drake dressed slowly into some comfortable jammies. Josh had picked them out and helped put them on after gently towel drying Drake. Long lounge pants and a long sleeved maroon shirt covered everything on Drake's body nicely. Drake had gotten himself situated on Josh's bed, warm under the covers when Josh came back upstairs, a tray full of various things that could make a normal person sick after eating them but it was just the type of thing that Drake always ate.

Josh carefully sat on the bed. The bed was big enough to fit both boys and as long as Drake didn't think about what Josh might have done with the Creature then everything was okay. He could ignore the pain all over his body. He could focus on the warmth of Josh's body seated beside his. He could close his eyes and take in the scent of cola mingled with chips and pizza and pretend nothing had happened. He could pretend that his show had went fine. He could pretend that he went off with that blonde. He could pretend he hadn't been grabbed after sending his band off without him.

Sighing, Drake slumped a bit, wondering if he should just sleep it off. He'd feel better in the morning. "I'm not too hungry, Josh..."

Josh blinked but nodded and set the tray on the floor and nudged it under his bed with a foot. He'd worry about that later. "Is there anything I can do or get for you?"

Drake thinned his lips, slowly moving himself onto his side. "Lay with me for a while?"

Josh felt mildly surprised and just a little excited. He slowly moved down beside his brother, exhaling softly as he got comfortable. Drake waited until Josh stopped moving before he moved himself. He tugged at the covers, urging Josh beneath them. Once Josh was, Drake scooted close, lazily laying an arm over Josh's chest. Josh moved an arm down and when Drake placed his head atop it, Josh smiled and let his arm wrap gently around Drake's shoulders.

After a bit more situating Drake was resting contently at Josh's side and Josh was smiling pleasantly at the sight of Drake looking completely at ease. Josh bent his head, lips pressing against Drake's damp hair.

A/N: Maaaan. I feel almost bad for writing this...but sheesh. It was the first thing I thought of with the prompt.
