Prologue

Abel is a very special young man. The nice female in the white coat always told him so. She would always dote on how pretty his milky white skin was, how radiant his curly white blonde hair looked, and how vibrant his sea green eyes always were. He would sit in front of the oval shaped mirror he was given and just gaze at himself for hours trying to see what she saw. All he ever saw was a confused male looking back at him.

He would be four months old in six hours. The nice female, who called herself Susan, told him that she was forty seven years old. A month could be anywhere from 30 to 31 days and a year was 364 days. That would make him 124 days old and Susan was 17,108 days old.

She even showed him pictures of her offspring and told him that Johnny was sixteen years old and Daniel was fifteen years old. That had really confused him because he looked just as old as Johnny did and yet Johnny was 5,824 days old to where he will only be 124 days old. She told him not to worry about it. He was just special.

He walked over to his bed and picked up the furry little animal Susan had given him. She told him that it was a teddy bear and that he wanted to be his friend to.

“What are friends?” He had asked her the day she had given Rocky to him.

He could still remember the thing she called a smile when one was feeling pleasant. Her whole face seemed to glow because of it.

“A friend is a person who will always be there for you no matter what.”

He hugged Rocky to his chest. “Will you always be there for me?”

That had made her smile fade a little and she ran her fingers through his silky soft locks that shimmered in the light. “I will be here.”

He had recently started to have what Susan called dreams. He did not like them because he did not know what the emotions were he was feeling. He did not like to talk about them.

He was always in really warm water and he did not look like himself at all. There was something different about him. What was that word again? Oh, he looked scary. That was it.

His body was all scaly and a bluish black color. He had these long slithering tentacles around his head and these sharp plates sticking out of his back. There was also someone else in the water with him. There was a person holding him and making his new body feel really, really good. The feeling made his scary skin light up the water. He could never see what the person looked like.

He looked up from his bed when he saw Alexander walk into the big lab he was kept in at all times. He often wondered what the place on the outside looked like. Susan was not allowed to tell him about it. She always got this strange look on her face when he would ask.

He got up from his bed and walked over to stand in front of the glass wall that separated him from all the other people in their white coats. Susan and Alexander were the only ones who ever came into his home to speak with him. All the other people just pretended that he was not there. He began to wonder if that bothered him.

“Hello, Abel.” Alexander smiled as he came into the glass dome. “How are you?”

He slowly backed away and walked over to take a seat at his desk. “I am fine.”

He did not know if he liked Alexander or not. Sometimes, if he looked at the bald male long enough, he could see inside his mind. It was not a very nice place to be. He wondered if what he saw was even real or if it was just something his own mind made up to scare him.

“That’s good.” Alexander said, walking over to take a seat on his bed. “Have you had any dreams lately?”

Abel lowered his head. He didn’t really want to talk about it. He did not like the way he looked in his dreams.

“Abel?”

Those sea green eyes looked up from behind curly locks, “Do I have to talk about it, Lex?”

“It would be nice to know if anything is bothering you.” Lex told him with a soft smile.

“Why can’t I go outside?” He asked, rising to his feet, turning away from him. “Why can’t I leave like everyone else does?”

“It is not safe out there for you, Abel.” Lex said in a very concerned voice. “The world outside this place is not good.”

Abel hid his frown.

“But why is it not a good place?” He asked, turning around to gaze at him.

“There are very bad people out there who would like to hurt you.” Lex told him, slowly getting to his feet. “You are special and very unique, Abel. People will not understand and they will hurt you.”

Abel backed up. “Hurt me?”

Lex nodded.

“Why would they want to hurt me?” He asked, feeling a strange emotion. “I’ve done nothing to cause anybody to want to hurt me.”

Lex only frowned.

“I want to see and smell the green grass. I want to look up and see the white clouds floating by in the blue sky. Why can’t I do this?”

“How do you know these things?” Lex asked.

Abel blinked. He had just messed up. These were not things he was supposed to know. So, he really can see inside the minds of others.

“Abel?” Lex asked. “Has Susan been telling you things about the outside?”

Abel shook his head. “No.”

“Then how do you know these things then?” Lex asked him.

Abel did not know what to do. He did not want to tell Lex that he could see inside his mind. That would probably make him mad. Just then, he suddenly caught sight of someone in Lex’s mind.

“Who is the male with the green eyes and the dark hair?”

Lex’s mouth nearly dropped. He cocked his head the side and just looked at the alien creature before him. For a moment he had nearly forgotten just what he was in the same room with.

“You can see inside my mind, can’t you, Abel?”

Abel dropped his head and turned his back on him once more.

“How long have you been able to do this, Abel?”

Lex watched him walk away from him, taking slow steps. “Well, Abel?”

He could not seem to think. That male was something foreign to him. He was unlike Lex in every way possible. What is he? What was his name?

“Tell me his name.” Abel whispered. “And I’ll tell you.”

“Do you remember what happened the last time you refused to answer a question, Abel?”

Abel put a hand up on the glass, and it clawed. “Yes.”

“Then tell me, how long?”

Abel turned around. “Tell me his name.”

Lex’s nostrils flared and he turned away, walking back to the door. He banged on it, “Open it.”

Abel pulled a Susan and rolled his eyes like she always did when Lex lost his temper. It was something that he was beginning to do a lot lately. This was just great. He was no longer going to be allowed to have ice cream…again.

He walked back over to his desk and picked up a drawing pencil and some paper before he went back to lie down on his bed. He started to draw the strange male he had seen in Lex’s mind. The first thing he started on was the eyes. They had been so green.

Abel was the only alien-human hybrid to survive. Adam and Cain had not been so lucky. They had been weak and were not able to survive for some odd reason that nobody could seem to figure out. It was really starting to piss Lex off. Why the hell couldn’t anybody figure out why?

Susan walked into the office to see that her boss was all in a tizzy about something. She walked over and took her usual seat before him. Something told her this was going to be a long day. Had Abel done something to piss him off again? That boy had a real talent here.

“He can see inside our minds, Dr. Hita.” He told her, standing with his back to her, looking out at the city of Metropolis below.

She gawked. “What?”

“He knew what grass was and the color. He knew what the sky and clouds were and he knew their colors.” He did not tell her he knew of Clark Kent.

She did not know what to think. This was amazing. She had often wondered if such a power was possible to possess. Well, after all the meteor freaks she had done research and tests on, this was nothing new to her. But, this was no freak they were dealing with. This was an alien-human hybrid. The extent of his natural abilities was still unknown to them. They were going to have to run some serious tests now.

“We will have to run tests, Mr. Luthor.” She said, full of excitement.

“We will have to be careful.” He told her, knowing that this was something not human they were dealing with. The only thing human about him was the way he looked.

“That is a given, Sir.” She said, rolling her eyes like she always did.

Abel’s eyes just lit up like an underwater aquarium when Susan showed up. She had brought him his dinner and it looked really good. She had brought him his favorite. He simply loved the Indian food she cooked for him. The Chicken Tika was his favorite.

She was the one who ran all the tests on him, and she was the one who prepared all his meals. She just beamed when he dug in. It was so nice to have someone who appreciated her cooking. Cooking was something she enjoyed when she was not playing around with her own genetic code.

That was when she saw the drawing of a young man lying on Abel’s pillow. The young man reminded her of someone she had seen before but she could not think of who he was. It was probably someone that was of acquaintance with Lex. He was a real looker, too.

“I hear that a certain pretty young man has been keeping secrets.” She said, leaning over, flicking him on the nose.

He looked up at her and she could not help but smile at the Tandoori sauce that stained the corners of his mouth. He looked so…human.

“I’m sorry.” He said, digging right back into the food with gusto. He was starving. He had never been hungry like this before.

“Set that down for just a minute, Sweetpea.” She said, using the pet name he liked so much, and handed him a thick, solid steel, cylinder.

He held it in his hand and looked up at her. “What would you like for me to do with this?”

“I would like for you to squeeze it for me.” She told him.

He looked it over and gave it a real good squeeze and then handed it back to her. She calmly watched him dig right back into his meal. She just looked the damn piece of metal over. He had squeezed it to the point where it was as thin as a pencil. She could only imagine what he could do to a human arm.

“What?” He asked, looking at her with big eyes. “Did I do it wrong?”

She shook her head. “You did exactly what I wanted you to do.”

He smiled. “Does this mean I get to have ice cream again?”

She rolled her eyes. “Don’t press your luck.”

He dug into the chicken this time.

“You enjoy your meal, Sweetpea.” She told him. “I’m going to go write some things down and I’ll be back to see you later.”

He waved her bye and lowered his eyes. What he had done to that metal cylinder had really scared her. His eyes started to sting and he wondered why that was. He had never felt that before. They were all wet and blurry. What was going on? Something wet was leaking from his eyes and was slipping down his cheek.

He quickly put a hand to feel that it was water. He was leaking water. He put it to his tongue to see that it tasted salty. What was wrong with him? Why was he leaking?

“Susan!”

He jumped up, spilling his food all over the floor and ran to bang on the glass wall, screaming her name. She spun back around and ran back to the door. It opened and she ran in.

“What’s wrong?”

He put a hand to his eye and screamed, “I’m leaking!”

All she could see was a frightened child and she quickly walked over, putting her arms around him.

“Everything is okay, Abel. It is just tears. There is nothing wrong with you.”

He just let her hold him like that until the shock went away.

She gently ran her fingers through his hair. “Why were you crying?”

“What is crying?”

“It is something that people do when they are sad.”

Abel slowly backed away. “You were scared of me.”

“What?” She asked.

“I could tell.” He told her, pointing at his head.

“You’re physical strength just surprised me is all.” She told him.

He quickly looked at his hands as if afraid of them. She quickly took notice of that.

“I can hurt you.” He whispered.

She turned around to see that his hand had cracked the glass where he had smacked at it. That glass was supposed to be unbreakable. It would have to be replaced.

“You spilled your food all over the place, Sweetpea. Why don’t you try and clean up what you can and I’ll go and see if I can’t find you something else.”

He nodded and watched her go. She was afraid of him. Her thoughts told him so.

Three days later Abel had had a little accident. He had been playing around and managed to fall and break his wrist. But, the miraculous thing was, it mended itself in a matter of moments.

This little incident had Lex perplexed. How was Abel able to have super strength and yet break one of his bones so easily? It just did not make any kind of sense whatsoever.

He watched the tape, in zoom, and watched how the young man’s wrist had snapped back into place, and saw all the swelling vanish. Abel had not cried out in any kind of pain whatsoever. He just seemed to watch his wrist like an interested child would watch a dog playing with a ball.

It was another three days later when Abel started to make strange inhuman noised in his sleep. They did not sound like anything he had ever heard before in his life. The noise was high pitched. It almost sounded like a cross between a dolphin and nails on a chalkboard. If you turned out the lights, closed your eyes, it was down right scary to hear. Lex had done exactly that before he quickly turned the lights back on. If he had had a blanket he probably would have hidden under it.

The water was so warm and he could feel extremely powerful arms and legs embracing him tightly.. He could feel something incredibly pleasurable entering his body and he squirmed as bubbles seemed to float all around him.

He opened his eyes and was gazing into brilliant green orbs. They were looking at him with such possessiveness, it made him cry out.

He could tell that his body was all scary again, but this strange male with him did not seem to mind. Where had he seen this male before?

It was the male he had seen in Lex’s mind. It was the green eyed, dark haired male. His body seemed to hum to life whenever this male would touch him.

Those powerful hands roamed over his alien body and he moaned, arching his head back, tentacles embracing the strong male. He could almost hear his voice.

“Who are you?” He asked, but his voice did not sound like his voice.

The male opened his mouth as if to speak…

Clark Kent opened his eyes, sat straight up in bed, gasping for breath. He felt like he had been underwater and he moaned because of the mess he had made. This was the fifth pair he had ruined because of this wet dream. His pecker just seemed to bust right through the thin cotton, and this was also the fifth hole in the ceiling. This was so embarrassing. His parents always knew when he had a wet dream. All they had to do was look up and see the repairs done to the ceiling or the walls in his room. His mom could always tell because of the lack of boxers to wash as well. There was no secrets in this house.

What in the world had he been making love to? It had looked human, but then again, no it did not. It looked like some kind of alien from a horror movie.

This was too funny. He was an alien making love to an alien. Was his body trying to tell him something?

You can only make love to another alien, Clark Kent, Kal-El, whatever the hell you call yourself this month. Don’t even think about screwing with a human. Your cock might simply stab right through them, or your seed might blow a nice hole through the tops of their heads. But, hey, if you get off on that sort of thing, you go right ahead, Mr. Kent-El.

He shook his head.

“Clark!” Jonathan yelled at the top of his lungs. “Did you die in there? Or did you just blow another hole through our roof?”

“Jonathan!” Martha yelled.

Clark heard a sharp slap and his dad cry, “Ouch!”

He blushed redder than a ripe cherry. These strange dreams were going to have to go. He could not live like this.
