It Started in the Kitchen
Lex watched, amazed, as Clark slid by the open kitchen door in a move reminiscent of Tom Cruise in Risky Business.
The faint strains of Kylie Minogue filtered out into the open air, and Lex stared as Clark glided around the counter with a dust rag, singing along and dancing.
Oh wow. Clark was really getting into it.
A smile took over his face as he continued to watch Clark bob his head, full lips open as he sang along to the upbeat song.
The sudden kick that knocked over a broom broke his control, and Lex chuckled softly.
Green eyes flared wide open as Clark looked through the screen door. A bright flush spread over Clark's golden skin prettily, and he watched glossy hair slide over Clark's head as the younger man lowered his head.
And then, those eyes looked up through thick lashes and met his. A mischievous expression took over Clark's flawless face, and he watched Clark smile brightly and dance his way over to the door.
The door squealed open, the sound barely audible over the loud music. Lex raised a hand in greeting, and squeaked as his arm was grabbed.
Clark pulled him forward, twirling him in a circle. "C'mon, Lex. What? You don't ever sing or dance when you're by yourself?"
"Of course not, Clark!" Lex shouted over the pounding beat.
Clark's grin looked entirely too knowing, and Lex shifted uneasily, thinking of the many, many times Clark had managed to get into the mansion without his security team being alerted.
Not that he minded...but, he would certainly be refraining from listening to 'Weapon of Choice' for a while.
"Oh, come ON, Lex. Give it up." Clark shimmied his hips, smiling brightly as Lex's eyes followed the movement. His laugh lit up the kitchen, the air around them.
Lex shook his head, and pulled away, sitting down heavily in a creaking wooden chair. He watched as Clark continued to sway his hips with the beats of the song, pursing his lips. Six feet, four inches of dancing farm boy was damned adorable.
"Clark..." he cleared his throat as he watched a young woman's face appear in the reflection of the stove door's glass window. Hmm.
Waiting a moment until Clark was within range, he reached out and hooked his fingers in Clark's belt loops, yanking him forward. Looking up into surprised green eyes, wide in a blushing face, he smirked.
"If you're going to dance, do it right."
Keeping his fingers in the fabric loops of Clark's jeans, he pulled himself up, and smiled. Moved his hips easily with the song, and tilted his head to the side, a smug grin playing over his lips when he felt a firm heat pressed against his stomach.
His hands splayed over Clark's hips, moving them with his as he swayed. A nervous smile spread across lush, pretty lips, and Lex slid his fingers free from the loops. He lowered his hands to Clark's sides, and grasped the soft, tanned skin of Clark's arms. He pulled the arms around himself, and pushed until the thick fingers connected, clasping around his waist.
Nodding, pleased, he turned in the circle of Clark's arms until his ass was against Clark's groin. He breathed out a laugh, and pressed back hard, still moving with the sounds of the song.
Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw a head of long, dark hair whirl around and disappear into the distance. He smiled smugly.
Lex felt soft hair brush against the side of his face as Clark leaned in closer. "Is she gone yet?"
Surprised, Lex whirled his head over to look into narrowed green eyes. "What?"
"I heard her car, Lex. And, I know you well enough to know what you were doing."
"What is it you think I was doing, Clark?" Lex's voice was scraped, whisper-soft.
Clark laughed, a shade of nervousness coloring his voice. "Well, I'm not sure what you want to call it, Lex. Staking your claim? Getting rid of the competition? Rubbing my attraction for you in her face?"
A smirk crept across Lex's lips, stretching his scar over his teeth. "Your attraction?"
Clark's sigh was warm, and moist, and it skated across the skin behind his ear as Clark pulled back slightly. "Is that a question?"
Grinding his ass back against Clark's prominent erection, Lex shook his head slowly. "Not anymore." A hand stole up to curl back and snake into silky black locks. Gripped and dug in. "How long?"
"Uh..." Clark's voice trailed off in a cloud of laughter, and Lex rolled his eyes, twisting around to appreciate sparkling eyes and flushed skin.
"How long have you felt this way?"
Clark's eyes looked down, and strong, sharp teeth bit down into a soft, full lower lip.
"A while?" He watched Clark's face shift as he nodded almost imperceptivity. "A long time?" Another nod, this one slightly more noticeable. "Hey," he leaned up and into Clark, nipping lightly at his chin, and nudging him up to meet his eyes, "there's nothing for you to be embarrassed about, Clark. You couldn't have wanted this for any longer than I have."
Clark's eyes flashed, the pupils widening and darkening his irises to a deep, forest green. "So, this wasn't just about-"
"No."
"But-"
Lex licked his lips, before tucking his tongue into his mouth and feeling the soft inside of his cheek. "Clark, I'm tired of waiting. I would've continued to wait; it's true. I would wait forever for you. But...watching you and her continue to dance around one another..."
Clark's lips twisted up in a small, sweet smile. A pleased, content smile. "Lex. The only person I want to dance with is you."
Lex's eyebrows shot up, amused, as Clark's face lit up in a grin and he wiggled his denim-clad hips to the still-playing music that had shifted to a slower, husky ballad. He inclined his head slightly, listening closely to the song for a moment. "I have to admit that it's not my typical genre."
Green eyes positively glowed as Clark's mouth widened in a sunshine-bright smile. "Well...it's no Fatboy Slim."
Swallowing rapidly, Lex cocked his head to the side. "Is there something you'd like to share with me, Clark?"
Shining black hair bounced down to cover mischievous eyes as Clark nodded. Wide, long-fingered hands reached out to grasp Lex's waist. "As a matter of fact, Lex," Lex's hands clenched onto Clark's shoulders as he was lifted up onto the kitchen counter, "there is."
