Summary: What if another ship crash landed in Smallville during the second meteor shower?

Prologue

Isobel laughed hysterically as Genevieve tried to strangle her with her bare hands. Those amethyst eyes blazed with radiant madness and the silver element hovered in the air. The dark countess kneed Genevieve in the gut and rolled her over so that she was on top.

“You are a fool,” Isobel cackled as the element flew into her hand and she raised it high, “I end you now!”

She plunged the element directly into Genevieve’s heart and gave it a good, satisfying twist here and there. Her dark hair billowed like a nest of hissing serpents around her lovely face as her laughter filled the loft.

Golden light emanated from the element and she was thrown across the room by the power, laughing even as she crashed into the wall. She fell to the floor and laughed herself into darkness.

Clark was just about to walk across the stage to get his diploma when from out of no where army SUV’s and armored cars came speeding in. He turned to look for his parents but could not see them. What was going on?

“Smallville is to be evacuated immediately,” a voice announced loudly from a loud speaker, “A meteor shower will hit Smallville in seven hours.”

Emerald eyes widened in horror. Everything was happening as he dreamed it would. Smallville was going to be destroyed again. Was his father punishing him again for not getting those stones?

He raced to find his parents who were the only two still sitting in their seats. Everyone else was running around screaming like chickens that were about to get their heads chopped off.

The first thing he did was make sure that Chloe and Lois were safely to their car before he ran off to go find his folks.

“Clark,” Jonathan yelled as he came down the stairs with an armload of suitcases in each hand, “Where have you been? We got to go.”

“I’ve been looking for Lana,” he said and he looked frightened, “I can’t find her anywhere.”

“She is probably already gone,” Martha said as she quickly packed up some food into a basket from the cabinet.

“Go to your room,” Jonathan quickly said, “And pack only the things you’ll need.”

“I have to do something,” Clark said, “This is my fault.”

“This is not your fault,” Martha quickly said as he raced to get some family photos.

“I came here in a meteor shower,” he said and shook his head, “Now its all happening again because of me.”

“There’s nothing you could of done to prevent this,” Jonathan told him while he helped Martha.

“I don’t think that’s true,” Clark whispered.

He ran to his loft to get his key. He held the shiny octagonal key in his hand and would have snarled at it but he heard someone behind him. He spun around to see Lex looking at him with concern in his cold gray eyes.

“Lex,” he said in shock, “What are you doing here?”

“I came to offer you and your parents safe passage out of here on my jet,” he said.

“Thanks,” Clark said, “But I think we’ll be okay.”

He quickly slipped the key into his pocket when Lex wasn’t looking directly at him and he pretended to ignore the hurt in Lex’s eyes.

“Clark,” he snapped suddenly which made Clark take a step back, “Why take such a stupid risk? You know how much you mean to me. The first one almost killed me. You mustn’t be here when this one hits.”

He didn’t have time for this, “Thanks, Lex, but I really need to go help my parents pack.”

Lex shook his head, “Idiot…”

Clark blinked, “What?”

“Nothing,” he said and turned his back to him, “I just want to make sure that you’ll be okay.”

Clark was glad that Lex’s back was turned that way the older man could not see him smile, “We’ll be fine.”

Lex turned around, “Are you sure, Clark?”

“Yes,” he said.

“Okay,” Lex said and began walking towards the steps, “Stay safe, Clark.”

“You, too,” Clark said softly, “Lex.”

Clark made his way to the inner chamber where he had faced Isobel and shouted, “If you’re really my father, talk to me! Tell me what you’ve done!”

He inserted the key into the slot and was suddenly engulfed in a blazing light surrounded by deep unending darkness. A booming voice spoke to him from all around.

“You brought this on yourself, Kal-El,” Jor-El thundered in wrath.

“What did I do,” he shouted in fear.

“I sent you here to unite the three elements,” Jor-El said in that all knowing voice.

“The stones,” Clark asked, “They have nothing to do with me.”

“They do,” Jor-El said, “The knowledge of the universe is in them and its only meant for you…”

The lights flashed brighter and Jor-El’s voice magnified, “But, you chose to deny your heritage, your real family. Today you will witness the consequences of your foolishness.”

“So,” Clark yelled, “You send a meteor shower to punish me?”

“I have done nothing,” Jor-El boomed which made Clark cringe in fear, “I warned you but you failed to heed me.”

“What,” Clark asked.

“Human blood has stained one of the elements,” Jor-El said, “And has awakened a great danger from the darkness of space.”

“How do I stop it,” Clark asked as the lights began to blind him. Jor-El was pissed.

“Nothing,” Jor-El told him, “What’s done is done, Kal-El.”

“Please,” Clark begged.

“I warned you that the elements could not fall into evil hands,” Jor-El seethed, “The three must become one.”

“I don’t have time to find them,” Clark yelled, “I don’t know where they are!”

“If you don’t united them at once,” Jor-El warned, “You, my only son, will be seared by a fire from the sky…even you can’t survive. The future of mankind rests in your hands…and…”

“Please, help me,” Clark interrupted, “I can’t do this alone!”

“You wont have to,” Jor-El said, “Goodbye, my son.”

A bright flash went off and Clark had tears in his eyes. He felt so alone and lost.

Clark told his parents what he had to do and they didn’t like it, but he didn’t have a choice. He hugged them bye and raced to the loft where he found Lana leaning against the wall.

“I thought you were already gone,” Clark said in shock to find that she was still here. He was so happy to see that she was alright.

“I’m scared,” she whispered as she turned from him.

“Lana,” he said going to her, “I know the meteor shower is bringing up some painful memories but this time its different. We have warning.”

“No,” she said and her voice was shaking, “Clark, I don’t know what’s going to happen to me.”

He watched her dig into her purse when she told him that she had something for him. She handed him the stone that was still covered in blood.

“Where did you get this,” he asked in surprise.

“The temple,” she said in fear, “I think you need it.”

“Blood,” he whispered as he held it up.

“I can’t explain,” she said turning from him, “Please, trust me.”

“My parents are about to leave,” he said and took her hand, “Go with them, now.”

“No,” she whispered.

“You have too,” he said not understanding why not.

Tears welled up in her olive green eyes, “Whatever happens Clark, I’ll never forget you.”

He backed up and narrowed his eyes, “Why are you talking like that?”

“I love you,” she said and the tears fell and she kissed his cheek.

He looked at her, “I love you, too, Lana.”

“Bye,” she said and walked away with tears streaming from her changing irises.

When she got outside in the sun she noticed that her hair was starting to change to a very dark violet color.

“But, my friend is trapped inside,” Chloe yelled at the impossible man, “Let me pass!”

“Turn around,” The guard roared, “Now!”

“Do something,” Chloe hissed at Lois next to her, “I have to get to Lana.”

“Leave this to me,” Lois smiled, “I have a way with words.”

Clark quickly placed the second stone on the altar and a bright light filled the cave. A ringing sound filled his ears and he took off faster than a bullet.

He raced inside Lex’s study where the ringing was coming from. The sound was coming from inside Lex’s vault, so he quickly ran over and ripped it off the hinges hurling the door across the room as if it were made of plastic.

He stepped inside only to be attacked by the same mask that had nearly killed him in China. His strength was being zapped but he managed to grab the stone before he passed out on the floor.

888888888888888888888888888888888

“Lana,” Chloe yelled as she raced into the study only to see Clark laying on the floor out cold. He looked to be bathed in green light.

“Clark,” she whispered and ran to him, “Clark?”

She saw the stone in his hand and the symbol on it was the same as the one on Lana’s back. That was when she noticed how all the stones inside were glowing and quickly pulled Clark out of the vault.

Lex came walking in and Chloe stood up from behind the sofa to see him.

“Where’s Lana,” she asked, “I got a call.”

“I don’t know,” Lex said looking at the mess, “What happened?”

“Not a clue,” she said turning to see that Clark was gone, “I just walked in.”

Lex ran to the vault to see the stone missing, “You know something you’re not telling me, Chloe.”

“I came to find Lana,” she said getting upset, “That’s all.”

He smacked the wall which caused her to jump, “Your curiosity always does this to you, Chloe.”

“Does what exactly, Lex,” She asked backing away from him, “I got a call from Lana. Would you like to hear my voicemail?”

“Precarious situations,” Lex snapped and turned around grabbing her sharply by the shoulders, “Only this time, you’re on a very narrow ledge with only one way back. Who took the fucking element, Chloe?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she said, “And you’re hurting me.”

He threw her aside and she cried out, “We have to get out of here, Lex!”

“I want that stone,” he snarled, “And you’re coming with me!”

888888888888888888888888888888888

Isobel stood in a field as fire fell from the sky striking the green earth all around her as she walked. Black silk billowed as flames rushed around her body to glide across her skin like hissing serpents to the very tips of her long violet hair.

When she stabbed Genevieve with the element that golden light had literally burned Lana’s essence to ash. It turned out that her soul had always been stronger than Lana’s. She was here to stay. All the knowledge that had been in that stone was now in her mind.

She walked through the roaring flames and she bitch slapped a falling meteor the size of a soccer ball away from her face. She was now the dark goddess she had always wanted to be.

Her laughter filled the burning sky like the smoke, but their was a small pang in her heart. Those amethyst eyes filled with fire.

“Clark?”

88888888888888888888888888888888888888

“Why do I get the feeling we’re not down here for cover,” Chloe asked as Lex pushed her into the chamber.

“You know as well as I do,” Lex smiled viciously, “This caves the epicenter.”

“Of what,” Chloe snapped.

“Come on, Chloe,” he yelled, “You know better than anyone, Miss Reporter. You know all about this damn cave and those fucking stones!”

“What is with you,” Chloe shrieked, “We’re going to die!”

“Who broke into my library,” he roared, “Who are you trying to protect?”

“No one,” she said as he grinned madly.

“Is it Clark,” he hissed.

“Clark,” she asked, “He’s with his parents.”

Both jumped when a golden light went off from somewhere up ahead of them. The both of them turned to look to see what it was and Lex began to move towards it.

“Lex,” be careful,” Chloe yelled and she rammed him into a wall. He smacked his head and fell to the ground.

She fixed her hair, “It might be dangerous.”

She ran towards the light, “Clark?”

He grabbed the stone and the two of them screamed as bright blue lights erupted all around them.

A young man stepped up out of the crater his ship had made and his bright blue topaz eyes took in the devastation going on all around him. Great plumes of fire was smashing into the earth sending flames and smoke to the sky.

“Kal-El,” he whispered as he put a hand over his heart, “What did you not do?”

8888888888888888888888888888888888888

Isobel stood in the shadows twirling a violet strand of hair around a long finger. These alien creatures were shooting fire from their eyes like Clark had done to her in that cave with all the magic symbols. The male and female were blowing up cars and the metal birds as if they were toys. Bullets bounced off their skin as if they were made of plastic. The two of them were so going to have to go. This was her world and she did not need these usurpers fucking up her plans.

888888888888888888888888888888888888888

The young blue-topaz eyed man stood before his ship and his eyes began to glow like twin molten gems. As if the ground were made of liquid, the ship began to sink below the surface. He had it sink to a good thirty feet before he was satisfied. There was no way he could ever allow the earthlings to find his ship.

The ground in the black crater began to rise up and flatten out by his will. He smiled as he sent a wave of strong telekinetic power out in order to accelerate the growth of the grass. Now the crater looked as though it had never been there.

He floated up into the air to have a look around. There was no hint of Kal-El’s signature anywhere in this Smallville. He flew leagues up into the sky in mere seconds to gaze down with intense searching eyes. He had to find him…before they did.

8888888888888888888888888888888888

“I sense great power,” the female alien said while looking around the quiet scene littered with burning corpses and debris, “It is watching us now.”

“Where,” the male asked looking at her with glowing green eyes.

“Over there,” she said and pointed with a long razor sharp nail, “Near those trees.”

“You’re good,” Isobel said and stepped out of the shadows of the sheltering trees, “How annoying this is.”

Her violet hair blew gently in the warm breeze that smelled of scorched flesh and it reminded her of the good old days. Her glowing amethyst eyes burned, “Why have you come to my world?”

“Your world,” the male asked in outrage.

“Mine,” she snapped like lightning and had him on his knees bowing before her with a hissed word of power, “All, mine.”

The female cocked a delicate brow, “Very powerful.”

“Insanely, powerful,” Isobel corrected as she froze the female with a single breath before she could move, “Perhaps I’ll make my throne from your bones…hmm?”

She gracefully walked over to them with her cloak billowing like dark wings behind her, “I’ll wear your emerald eyes with such pride…or, maybe, I’ll add them to a dream catcher…I’ve always wanted one, you see.”

The females glowing green eyes burned red and her beams bounced off Isobel’s shield she erected around herself. She tossed back her head and laughed evilly.

“I always learn from my mistakes,” she giggled like a little girl and took a seat on the males back, “Sweetpea.”

“Mistakes,” the female asked, “You know of Kal-El?”

“Don’t know the bitch,” Isobel said while looking at her nails, “Never met her.”

“Him,” the female said, “We must find him, now.”

Isobel’s hair billowed like a violet storm and her eyes burned like twin stars, “And what business do you have with this, Kal-El?”

“Not for you to know,” the male said while fighting to move, but couldn’t.

“I have a zillion ways to make you speak,” Isobel smiled with wide eyes filled with cruel insanity, “So I suggest you tell me in a normal tone now…or I’ll have you screaming what I wish to know here in a second.”

“We need him to join us,” the female said.

“And what if he refuses,” Isobel asked.

“Simple,” the male said, “We kill him.”

That slight pang stabbed again at her heart. Clark could not die. She needed him…for…something. Her head ached. Time to meditate…but the smell of burning flesh was not the sweet incense she needed right now.

“I’ll get back to you,” she said and got to her feet with a crazy grin, “Ya’ll play nice with the kiddies now, ya hear?”

She snapped her fingers and was gone in a bright flash of light. Thunder echoed her departure and the female stumbled and almost fell flat on her face had the male not caught her.

“What was that,” he asked looking around for any sign of her.

“Not sure,” she said with wide green eyes, “But it is gone, for now.”

“We must find Kal-El,” he said looking at the ship, “Our master needs him.”

“Come,” she said leading the way in a black blur, “We will check everywhere.”
