Only You
The strains of the violins bled through the walls, and he listened to them and smiled. It was the sound of his life beginning.
He stepped out of the room, shutting the heavy door behind him, and walked out of the small building and into the sunshine. Walking around the small crowd, he moved into place in the front. He stood there, alone, and felt a shiver run along his bare forearms. His crisp, pale lavender shirt was rolled up to his elbows and the first two buttons were left open at his collar, teasing with a glimpse of pale skin. His dark charcoal trousers were perfectly creased, and he rested twitching hands against the smooth, light-weight wool at his sides.
The sounds of a harp flooded into the air, soft and pure, and his head turned sharply towards the end of the aisle. He saw the pale, gauzy fabric that was artfully draped over an arch shift as an arm pushed through to part the filmy cloth.
Feelings of nervousness he hadn't realized were there washed away, a soothing balm, as the two figures emerged and stepped through the curtains and onto the silver rose-petal-laden path. Towards him. Arms linked, Clark Kent and his mother, Martha, walked slowly between the seated crowd. Martha was lovely, her brilliant red hair shining in the bright light, and her smile was genuine and loving. Clark's steps were shortened to match his mother's smaller stride, and Lex took the time to appreciate the vision before him as it moved steadily closer.
Clark's eyes were set on him, happy and alive. Brilliant eyes, sparkling with pleasure and excitement...the most beautiful green Lex had ever seen. Long, golden body clad in dark, tailored pants and a white, silk shirt that shimmered against his satiny skin. His hair, black like the darkest sky under a new moon, was free and shining. The silky ends curled around his neck, brushing across his collar, and Lex's fingers itched to reach out and touch. Feel.
Settle in, and stay.
That face. Miraculous, precious mouth...full and spread wide in a amazingly happy smile. Shining, white smile. Every part of Clark Kent was so stunning, so shocking in it's brilliance, and Lex felt himself step towards the man for a moment before forcing himself to stop...to wait.
Almost to him, and somehow his smile grew even warmer, and Lex felt himself answering with a sultry grin. He felt the stretch of his scar over his teeth, and lowered his eyelids slightly as he held out his hand in anticipation.
Martha's small hand closed over his, squeezed, and he looked into her beaming face, felt love and acceptance thrum through his body. She moved her hand, replacing it with her son's warm one. Fingers spread and curled, to twine together, and Lex felt safe. He leaned down to accept the soft kiss Martha brushed against his cheek. Shaking his head, he swiped away a falling tear from her cheek.
Fingertips, deceptively delicate, wiped a smear of color off of his cheek and he felt her whisper in his bones.
"I'm so glad we're here, Lex."
Unable to speak for a moment, he nodded as she stepped back, her hand slowly dropping to rest at her side. She sat down in the front row, smiling at him, and at Clark. They both caught the words she mouthed, 'I love you', and they turned to one another, grinning wildly.
They turned towards the justice-of-the-peace, and neither one could release the smile from his face. The words were everything Lex had ever wanted to have be a part of his life...from someone he loved, someone he trusted...who trusted him.
It didn't shock him in the least that he would have found his one, true match in someone who was from beyond the stars.
As they moved to face one another again, both hands clasped in front of them, Lex sucked in a breath as Clark blinked shining, overfilling eyes.
"Lex. You have been my best friend. You ARE my best friend. I'm grateful every single day that you crashed into my life." Chuckles, soft and sweet, erupted from both men. "Being with you lets me be normal and great, and at the end of every day I feel whole. Loving you makes me feel so happy, and I'm so lucky, Lex. I'm going to spend every moment of our lives loving you, and I promise, Lex, that I will keep you safe and I will respect you. I can't offer you something you already have, so what I will say is that I trust you with my heart, and with every part of me. Every part, Lex. You're my destiny, and I thank you for that. I love you."
Unable to not kiss Clark's sweet mouth, Lex moved into the man and brushed his lips against a lush, accepting smile. He didn't moved back, only looked up, keeping their hands trapped between them.
"Clark Kent. There was a time when I thought I couldn't be happy. I thought I wasn't deserving of you. You've done this incredible thing to me, Clark. Because of you, your faith in me, I know that we will be happy, and that I am the right person for you. I wake up shocked, each morning, because each day I find that what I feel for you has grown, flourished...soaked into every part of me. I'm not scared of the darkness in me anymore, Clark, because I believe in us. I know that we're stronger together. I'm blessed by you; because of you I can be a part of something my mother always hoped for, for me. You've given me everything, Clark. I'll protect you; I'll keep your heart safe, and I've given you mine. I've given you my trust, and I know, unequivocally, that you will keep it. I love you so much, Clark. I love you. You saved me."
They slid platinum rings onto each others' fingers, and laughed soft and low, at the trembling in each other's voice as they spoke the words that sealed their vows.
The Justice, a pleasant and kind woman, lifted her hands slightly, palms up. "It is with an enormous amount of pleasure that I do pronounce you, Alexander Luthor, and you, Clark Kent, to be partners in marriage. What has been joined in love, let nothing part." She arched a nearly translucent eyebrow. "Gentlemen, that's your cue."
Lex laughed, loud and joyful, as Clark wiggled his eyebrows and swept a firm arm around his waist, pulling him up his body. That warm mouth closed over his, swallowing his amazed laughter, and a tongue swept inside, filling his mouth with sweetness.
They broke apart, breathless, to applause and cheers, and smiled into each other.
"You're all mine now, Kent."
"I always was, you know."
Lex smirked, his face alight with wonder. "I'm yours."
"Yes."
Lex slid his hands around Clark's neck, tugging his face down to speak whisper-soft into his ear. "So, Clark, are you finally ready to take that truck off of my hands?"
Clark's loud burst of laughter brushed against Lex's scalp, and he trembled in response.
"How are we supposed to make it through the reception?" Lex murmured, the tip of his tongue darting out to taste a downy earlobe.
The rumbling groan against his skin was enough to give his knees a trembling uncertainty. He pulled back just enough to look into his husband's eyes.
"I have no idea. But, there is the limo ride over to the mansion." Clark panted, each word pushing a burst of apple-vanilla air into Lex's slightly parted mouth.
Lex's body shook with the shiver that ran down his spine. "It's a new limo, Clark. Are you going to ruin the shocks on this one, too?" He teased.
Thick, black eyebrows rose to hide beneath a fringe of dark hair. "I don't recall you complaining at the time."
Lex laughed, and felt the ease of it roll through him to the man holding him so close. "You won't hear me complaining this time, either."
Laughing, together, they turned to the smiling faces of the people who cared most about them, and walked forward to the waiting car with arms secure around each other's waist. As they stepped into the plush interior, they heard the sounds of the rice raining down on the roof, falling in through the still open door. Clark reached a hand out to catch a handful, and tossed it playfully at Lex.
Lex grasped the collar of Clark's shirt and yanked him forward, just as the door slammed shut. Pulling him in, he urged his husband's luscious mouth open and surged inside at the first acquiescence of control. Felt the warm mouth open like a flower, and tasted, feasted. Loved ever tiny space, and broke only to lap at the edges of those wonderfully plush lips.
His head fell back against cool leather as that curious mouth worked it's way down his throat, soft and sharp and sweet. He knew there would be marks, and he reveled in it. A hand, stunningly hot, worked it's way into his pants, and ripped open the crotch seam of his briefs with a flick of a finger. He was grasped, and held firm in heat and movement, and his hips jerked uncontrollably, up into that swiftly jerking hand.
"Come for me, husband. Come all over my hand; I want to taste you." Clark's voice tore his control to shreds, and his head lifted to stare, wide open and wild, into loving, lusting eyes.
One final back-curling thrust and he was emptied, pooling in dripping bursts into a ready palm. He watched, moaned, as Clark lifted the hand to his darkened mouth, and slowly licked three times. Verdant green eyes slid shut as a look of satisfaction and delight worked through his face. Clark's mouth rolled, lips pressing together, tongue sliding out to taste every bit of Lex's flavor.
The men leaned into one another, hands softly arranging clothes, drifting a tender finger along a cheek.
"Is this real?" Lex whispered.
"I'll tell you in about 40 years." Clark whispered back, his voice hitching with emotion.
Sighing, Lex saw the castle drawing nearer through the darkly tinted window. He moved in close, tight...and whispered quietly against a smooth cheek, "'I love you, not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you.'" (1)
"That's amazing, Lex. You always know what to say...the perfect thing." Clark's cheeks were twitching against his mouth in a wide smile, and he moved his head back to look into sparkling eyes. Watched, patient, as his husband cupped his hands around his jaw and spoke into his mouth. "'We sailed on together, we drifted apart, and here you are by my side. So now I come to you with open arms, nothing to hide, believe what I say. So here I am with open arms, hoping you'll see what your love means to me.'" As Clark's lips stopped in a sweet press against Lex's shocked mouth, a soft chuckle drifted into the air around them.
"I don't recognize that, Clark, although it's lovely." Lex grinned, drawing a finger across moist, smirking lushness.
Deep rosy pink flushed through the gold of Clark's face and neck. "Um...'Open Arms', Journey."
Lex sat still for a moment, fighting back the laughter. And gave up, gratitude and pleasure filling him as the bright laugh poured out. "Only you."
Lex Luthor was happy. Truly happy, and at peace. And, later, as they were standing in front of their friends, he realized that he'd almost missed this. He stepped forward, towards Clark, who was standing with a mischievous glint in his beautiful eyes, and a smear of creamy icing on his fingers.
He closed his eyes, parted his lips, and grinned as he heard a soft chuckle...felt a finger press against his mouth. Closing his mouth around the finger, he sucked it in, and opened his eyes, winking. He could still taste himself beneath the buttercream icing.
Releasing the wiggling finger only when Clark leaned down to kiss him, he reached down with a free hand to grasp a handful of cake.
"Don't you dare." A whispery giggle against his lips, and he sighed.
"It's a tradition, Clark."
"Lex-"
Clark's groan was drowned out by Martha Kent's gasp and Chloe Sullivan's squeal as Lex Luthor worked a messy, cake-covered hand into Clark's pants. Coated an attentive erection with Raspberry and Buttercream wedding cake. Flashes whirled around them, and Clark's laugh was huge and perfect. Flushed, beautiful face.
"I'll be happy to clean that up for you." Lex purred, pulling his hand out to pat gently at the messy bulge.
The cake was a happy addition to the honeymoon.
