Captive of Rotteness
Chapter One
Lazytown was still all asleep under a bright moon that hung over the houses. Most of the people were sleeping, that is everyone but one person in the entire town.
Robbie Rotten was not asleep, which was very unusual of the very lethargic man. He was sitting up in his favorite furry chair down in his subterranean home, pondering over things that were both frustrating and not frustrating. He seemed to be in one of great ‘rotten’ moods, as he sat in the almost pitch black of his home.
His frustrations were always on Lazytown - and always was against one of it’s most famous inhabitants in particular. His main frustration layed with the town’s resident super-hero and all around super sickly-sweet nice guy... The man called Sportacus.
Robbie winced at even thinking on the man in question, making a sour face as his mind filled with his frustrations.
“How could I get this do-gooder to leave Lazytown, so it can become Lazy again?” He pondered out loud, usually loving to hear himself talk as usual.
This time though, Robbie really was hating to hear his own voice echoing around his home like it was. He had absolutely no good plan to get rid of that flipping and jumping buffoon, not even one that he could work on. The more he seemed to think on his little problem, the more he got into a even rottener mood than he already was in.
He brought out a picture he had of all the inhabitants of the town, one that he used for inspiration in getting some of his rotten plans going. Even in looking at the picture for quite some time, he was drawing a big blank on his search for an idea.
Carefully he looked at each person in the photo, seeing if something... anything would pop into his head to do. His eyes suddenly landed on Stephanie, the newest person to move to Lazytown and the Niece to the Mayor of the town.
He hissed a little, as his mind reminded him that this pink wearing little girl was also one of Sportacus’s best friends in town.
“ Pinky has been such a pain in my side...” He said, looking at the girl in the picture. “ What could I come up with to force Sport-a-ninny to Leave Lazytown forever, and finally have Lazytown become lazy once again.” He seemed to swoon with the idea. “ Imagine, no running around, no playing little brats making all of that noise while I am trying to sleep- nothing. This town will be lazily great once more... or my name is not Robbie Rotten!”
He stared at the girl in the photograph for long moments, his eyes glued on to the image of Stephanie. It seemed that he was seeing the girl as a means to an end- but the question was just how he could use this little girl to get Sportacus to leave. That was the question now in his rotten mind.
He squinted and shook his head, as nothing came to him right off the bat. He let out a small groan.
“ Come on, Robbie... Think.” He urged himself, his fingers resting lightly against his temples.
Robbie stood up and began to pace his floor, thinking on just how he was going to do this bad deed of his. The more he paced, the more he grunted and groaned as his mind churned away in his head.
After a long time walking, especially for him, he sat down... an evil grin came over his normally pale face. It seemed that the man had hit on something.
“ I have it...” He cackled to himself in glee, rubbing his hands together. “ If I capture this pinky, and keep her caged up somewhere so everyone cannot save her... Sportacus will do anything to free his precious friend... Perhaps even leaving this town forever.” He laughed in glee with his beginnings of a plan, and patted himself on the back. “ This is even being more rotten than I usually. I am being... super rotten.”
Now he had to devise the plan to capture this little pink nemesis of his, where to hide her away until Sport-a ninny agrees to leave the town forever. He had the plan, but not the how to aspect of it as yet. He knew, he needed to think on it just a little bit longer, to make it as rotten as possible.
He plopped down back in his fuzzy chair, even thinking was getting him to feel so very tired. Once relaxed and settled, he went to work on the thought.
“ I has to be fiendishly simple, yet it has to be a plan that cannot be stopped.” He muttered to himself. “ I must think. I must out smart everyone... and rid this town of Super-dork himself...”
For the next few hours, he sat and thought things through. Every part of his plans needed to be in place before he started.
