Banishment to the extreme
In my planet, everyone is a slave, all but our esteemed Empress, Imperial Majesty Jin Sou (pronounced Jin Sa-ow). I used to be named the Slave General, I was feared. However, that is no longer the case. You see, there was a group of troopers from the planet earth, they were warning us against the Goa’uld, but, of course, the way of the worlds caused me to not only get my backside banished, but find a father figure, Colonel O’Neill. You got to love that wit.
As things came to pass, my being banished ended up being a good thing. I became an ambassador between earth and Satullu. Me, Ambassador Jeni Harbridge, that is, until now…..

“Damn it, Old Man, move! This planet isn’t going to postpone its explosion because you forgot your toys!” I yelled as I programmed earth’s address into the Stargate.
I had entered my Planet on the last day of my Banishment, only to find that the Ori, some new danger to the universe, had decided that my home planet was the choice to test out a new weapon, one that made the planet destroy itself from the core out. Thank you, Ori, for screwing me over on a massive scale. Damned aliens. Can’t trust anyone to do a good job anymore.
The last co-ordinate activated the Stargate. I forcibly push as many people through the gate as possible with the aid of the last warriors of the planet. Rumbling and cracking could be heard and felt under our feet. As I was just about to go through the gate myself, the slate rose and threw me into it as the gate was closing.
“Damned Gods!” I yelled as I was thrown into metal.
“Welcome home, Jeni, good trip?” Jack O’Neill asked as he helped me up.
“Well, let’s just say that the Ori decided to take my Banishment to the extreme,” I growled as I brushed my clothes off, “The world destroyed itself. I was thrown home.”
“At least you’re safe,” Jack said.
“Yeah, but now I am Planet-less,” I replied.
“You still got Earth.”
“Yeah, still got earth. Gonna go take a shower,” I walked down the ramp and into medi-bay to get cleared and permission to clean up.
Now, most humans don’t take much seriously, or don’t really think much at all. These people from earth, they don’t know how good the invention of a shower is. Warm water sluicing down your back, washing away the hardships of the day, there is nothing like it, especially when that hardship is losing one’s home planet. I stand there for about half an hour, letting the warm water wash my toils down the drain along with the dirt and blood that I’ve accumulated in the past few hours. I sigh and begin to wash myself. This was the last time I was gonna see my surrogate father in SGC. I wonder who the new guy is gonna be. I hope he’ll allow me to stay on the team. After Stargate, I don’t really have anything worth working for. Exploration of new planets and creating alliances is a fantastic job. Anyway, this new guy, he apparently screwed over a whole lot of Goa’uld in Antarctica. Go New Guy!
After I had cleaned up and got into lovely new, clean, clothes, I walked down to the cafeteria and met daddy dearest. Food was a very quiet affair as the past events finally caught up with me. I was Leaderless, my banishment extended to all time, my people were only a handful, and I was about to lose my team that I had been with for about two years. Made me feel quite sad really.
“Come on, I’ll introduce you to the new Colonel,” Jack said after a while.
I nod and we get up and place our trays in their right place. As we walk I did something I hadn’t done since I was three, I held Jack O’Neill’s hand. I held on for life. I didn’t want to meet the new guy, that meant that I had to let go of Jack as my commander and Sam, Teal’C, and Daniel…I couldn’t do it. I was surprised out of my musings as Jack wiped something from my eye.
“Wha-?” I looked at him, startled.
“Life isn’t going to end when we go through that door, Jenny Girl. I’ll still be your commander, you still live with me, and you’ll still see Sam, Teal’C and Daniel,” Jack tried to consol.
“But you won’t be going off-world with me and the others. It’ll be all different. I don’t want everything to change,” I felt something slip from the corner of my eye.
“No need to cry, little one,” he pulled me into his arms.
“Who’s crying?” I said, muffled into his shirt.
I felt his chuckle through his chest. The thing about Jack O’Neill is that no one really knows how much of a teddy bear he really is. This is the first thing I really associate with him. He always knows when and how much to comfort a person. I guess that was what the priests saw when they bound me and jack as father and daughter.
I compose myself and straighten my clothes and fix my hair. I replace my blank expression and ready myself to meet my new commander. My hand gets one more squeeze and we continue walking. We reach the Base Commander’s office and Jack knocks on the door. Entering, my jaw drops and I go numb.
