Revenge.

The gang sat at their usual table in the Planet drinking their various combinations of coffee, Shane sat at the head of the table looking bemused at the gangs thirst for the latest gossip and derogatory comments of the customers coming through the main doors for their morning fix. Their sudden silence snapping her back to reality as she looked at what they were all admiring.

“Gotta be fresh in town.” Alice began “I know everyone round here and I would definitely remember a woman as hot as that..What do you think Shane? Bet you’ve not seen her before?”

“No no I haven’t but I now have a new goal this week.” Shane smirked

“Shane” Bette and Tina said in unison.

“What? I was just gonna do my bit for the tourism industry.” Shane gave the gang her half-cocked smile

“Yeah right, like this is the bar, this is my house, wanna a night-cap?” Alice said sarcastically.

“Guys. you seem to be forgetting something here.” Bette turned toward her drink

“Yeah what’s that?”

“Well that could be her girlfriend, and she could be straight”

“Nah look at her she’s definitely home side.”

They all looked over to the woman at the counter, quickly turning their heads back to their coffee. All except for Shane who stared at her over the room. The woman stared back and smiled slightly nodding her head to Shane as she winked and left the Planet.

“Did you guy’s see that” Shane turned back to the table “She just winked at me”

“You sure you don’t know her?” Bette asked concerned that the mysterious woman could be another of Shane’s stalker one-night stands.

“No definitely not this one. I know my rep but she’s not the type I would forget too quickly ya know”

The gang returned to their idle chatter and coffee’s.


Shane stood waiting at the counter for her double shot before she was supposed to be heading to work. As she turned around to leave she noticed the tall blonde had returned.

"You forget something, " Shane asked

" Muffins...my sister forgot to get some they smell so good, coffee just isn’t the same without. I’m Alex " extending her hand in greeting

" I’m Shane... so I’ve never seen you around here before?”

" We have just moved here from NY, I’m still trying to find my way around, its so hard to meet people nowadays everyone likes to keep themselves hidden away, not me though I like everyone to know I’m here" a cheeky grin accompanied her last words.

" Well Im sure everyone noticed you in here that’s for sure, Well me and my friends are sat right over there if you want to grab a coffee and join us "

" That would be nice...Thankyou"

Shane led her to their table, (getting the usual your such a dog Shane looks from her friends)

" Well from left to right we have Bette & Tina, Dana, Alice and Jenny” Shane pulled out a chair for Alex to sit as everyone said their hellos.

Alice was the first to start with the questions:

"So where you from, What do you do, and who you doing it with...sorry if I’m forward its just I like to know who’s who. You know?

"Not at all I prefer people to ask if they want to know anything, anyway I’m originally from England moved here with my parents and my sister, my folks always said they would come back here one day."

"So they been married long. Your mother and father?

"I have two mothers and they’ve been wed about 25 years this march"

The gang was a little speechless at the idea of a lesbian relationship lasting that long. All except for Bette and Tina who looked longingly at each other picturing their own relationship to be that long then finally adding a "that’s so sweet" in unison.

"I know I’ve just met you all but you too remind me of my moms, ...I mean ...not the age thing .I meant the in love with each other, so you two married?”

"Yes, only two years so far ...but we plan on it being forever." "How about your sister? What’s her situation?"

"Oh Toni is single and probably will be forever ...she doesn’t socialise much it affects her studies and she’s a lot shy, she’s had a few bad experiences with girlfriends in the past so she just cant be bothered anymore."

Shane had been sat trying to figure out which Alex preferred men, woman or both, all she got was this woman was horny, sexy as hell and she was a little spoiled. So she decided to ask...."So. What’s your preference, I mean you know were all gay...right? I was just wondering if you, you know!

"Well that all depends what mood I’m in, I’m not the tied down type...Well not unless they ask first! I’m more the free spirit. The get some get gone type” Alex had already sensed Shane’s desire for her, that wasn’t the problem it was more that already she knew deep down inside that this conquest might just get her burned.

The group welcomed Alex into their little click, their curiosity of her insatiable. Shane quietly watched them all grilling her of her life story; sly glances between them meant the games had begun. A look, a smirk, a light brushing past of each other on their way for coffee or to the bathroom. They obviously both knew the game, and they both had started to play.

"We're all going out tonight, you want to join us. It’ll be fun there’s a few more of us you should meet and these girls are a bit boring for me! Shane glanced at the gang knowing this last statement would get a reaction..."I’m only joking on the last part but it will be fun I promise” A half smile on her face as she pictured how the night she planned would end. Alex screaming her name mid-orgasm.

" I would love too thanks, What time and where?

"Right here about 7; 30 ok"

"Great well it was nice to meet you all I shall be seeing you later then better get these muffins home before my sister has a fit" Alex stood, brushing against Shane on her way past. As she left she could feel her eyes watching her knowing she had left her mark.


"Damn she’s hot, girls you gonna have to be entertaining yourselves tonight cos. that ones mine.... And can you believe my luck she’s a twin."

"Your such a dog Shane, you know one day your gonna get bitten in the ass by love and your not gonna know what’s hit you" Bette added while receiving a prod in the side from Tina for her bluntness.

"Not me, you know I never stay around long enough for all that crap to get me...anyway I was kinda hoping this one might just bite I could do with a little kink” winking at her friends. They all knew that she was serious too.


Shane got to the Planet a little early which wasn’t like her at all, considering her motto was better late than never, She was hoping that her new friend would be the punctual type rather than like herself. Shane wanted the opportunity to get in there first with the newcomer rather than her hearing all the stories from the girls about what a dog she is. They may have all been true stories but she wanted to get a taste of Alex before she run away.

She sat at the bar, ordered herself a double espresso, and grabbed the latest magazine from the rack this was going to a long night so she had hoped. A tap on her shoulder jolted her from the story of the latest gossip on Angelina Jolie.

"Hey there did ya miss me?"

Alex stood before her dressed in white linen trousers, white dressy vest top that didn’t leave much to the imagination. Already she could tell she was wearing no underwear her already tanned skin looking even darker against the white, her cleavage looked like the grand canyon, definitely somewhere Shane wouldn’t have minded being lost in right at that moment.

"Wow you look. Amazing" the words slipping form her dry mouth subconsciously.

" You like then, I wasn't to sure on what you would all be wearing, and you never said where we were going tonight."

" Yeah ... you look great. You do realise though that looking that hot, your not going to get a minute to yourself, you'll have to beat them all back with sticks"

"That’s a shame I mean I’m so shy," a coy looks spread across her face. " Anyway I was maybe thinking you would come to my rescue if I needed saving "

They both stood looking directly into each others eyes wondering just how far these games would go, the sexual tension in the air already thick enough to make you choke.
Shane was now at a loss for words, but just as if her fiends could sense it in they all came. As usual Alice was the first to break the silence.

" Well get a load of this girls can you actually believe your eyes Shane’s here before us, well I’d never believe it if someone had told me "

" Fuck off. Alice, I’ve had a busy day I needed a coffee or I’d be pulling a you and going home early" smirk at Alice as she retorted

" Well if everyone’s here then I think we should go before these two start really fighting" Tina grabbed Bette's hand and headed for the door, not waiting to see if anyone was going to follow.

Alex was surprised at how friendly all the girls were she was never alone and they were all helpful at getting rid of any unwanted attention. They had acquired a large table near the dance floor, which was great it gave her the best view of the talent in the house. This wasn’t that much considering how jam-packed the club was. Alex had noticed how quiet Shane had been since they left the Planet. In fact she hadn’t spoken to her since, when she asked her if she wanted a drink Shane simply raised her bottle at her and shook her head. Alex wondered if maybe she was pushing to fast or if maybe Shane would be the first real challenge she had ever had. Everyone was on the dance floor except her and Shane .The tension in the air thickening with every minute that passed, she had to get her talking, so she scooted along the seat and leaned into her.

"So do you know the DJ, she's very good, and she's hot"

Shane got a shiver from Alex being so close and talking in her ear so softly, she hadn’t noticed how good she smelled until now. She had been trying to avoid her because of the effect that Alex was having on all of her senses, she had been around alot, slept with countless numbers of woman but she couldn’t remember one that got her going like this.

" Err...yeah Carmen, she is fantastic, and I’m not just saying that because we fucked a few times either she really is good at her job"

Shane couldn’t believe what she had just told Alex, damn this woman had her flustered she couldn’t even think clearly. Alex tried to not look shocked at Shane’s reply but she had the feeling it was written all over her face.

"Oh. right say you want that drink now your running on empty"

The song finished and the gang were all making there way back to the table as Alex stood to go to the bar.

"Anyone for another I’m going to the bar"

They all sensed the tension as they took their seats, smiling at Shane as they sat. Shane looked flustered and they all wanted to know what had got her so hot under the collar. Shane could see the wanting to know look on all their faces so she stood.

"I'll help ya, I know what they all have...besides you might need rescuing from the group over there they've been daring each other to come over to you"

Shane let Alex lead the way to the bar, she wanted to enjoy the view without her seeing just how much she was enjoying it, Also it gave her the chance to stare down the competition across the way. After putting on her game face and making sure that the group of woman that had been daring each other to come over knew their place she took in the view of the long legged beauty in front of her.


Alex reached the bar turned and propped herself against it, watching, waiting for Shane to appear through the crowd. When she saw her getting closer she bent her leg slightly, tilted her head down slightly, come fuck me eyes and a half smirk.

True she was attracted to Shane she hadn’t had a good looking sexy sultry woman in a while, and something about Shane made her senses go wild just from being next to her, hearing her talk in that low husky voice made her all quivery and ache for her touch. Shane was getting closer, she had to remind herself of why she was here, and she couldn’t really let herself get involved.

Shane saw the beauty infront of her propped against the bar oozing sex appeal, if they weren’t in the main area of the club she would have just grabbed her right there lifted her onto the bar and had her wicked way. Instead she moved in close pushing her whole body against Alex and whispered the drink order into her ear.

Alex shivered form head to toe at the sweet sound of Shines voice and the light pressure of her body pressed against her. She moved her hands to Shane’s waist, making them both gasp as she drew her in closer. The tension now reaching a heat the equivalent of the sun between them, anyone within 10 yards would choke on the thickness of the air as they stood for what seemed like an eternity just looking into the others eyes.

Alex ordered the drinks, and they made their way back to the table.

" You want to dance." Alex asked Shane as she took the drinks from her putting them on the table.

“Err...I don’t dance, I...erm.... Just like to watch" Shane couldn’t believe she turned down a dance with the hottest woman in the club but she knew she couldn’t trust herself not with this one, like Alice had told her this one really would bite back, and although that sounded great she was scared.

" Well I love to dance so be sure to enjoy the show" Alex winked at Shane as she headed on to the floor where the rest of the gang was.

Shane sat the rest of the night never taking her eyes from the beauty on the dance floor, which truly was putting on the show of her life for her. Alex dancing closer to the table making sure Shane was watching and enjoying the floor show


The bar closing the gang decided that such a warm night shouldn’t be wasted by getting cabs home so they walked. It was a cooling welcome breeze after being in the club and dancing all night. Shane lagged behind, a little frustrated and horny as hell after the show she’d received. It was probably the first time in ages that she had been out and not been guaranteed to be getting laid at the end of the night.

Bette and Tina led the way all cuddly and playful with each other, Alex linked arms with Alice quizzing her some more on the hot gossip and the best retail outlets around. Shane didn’t mind all that much considering the view she had once more of Alex’s firm ass, Alice may have been her best friend but she couldn’t deny that she had a great body to look at too so twice the bonus.
Bette and Tina said their goodbyes not being rude to the gang by not inviting them back for drinks but they too were all hot and bothered and they really didn’t want an audience.

“Well if you two aren’t to tired I got beers in the cooler and liquor in the cabinet “ Alice asked turning slightly and catching Shane unawares.

She hoped they would say yes she really didn’t want to go home to her empty house. She liked her space but was getting tired of the lonely cold bed and the TV dinners for one. At least if she had a few more beers she could pass out and not feel so lonely.

“Well I could do a few more, how about you back there? You want to join our twosome could be an interesting night” flashing Shane another of her little smirks.

The smirk ran a shiver through her body “well I don’t know I don’t wanna crash the party but you know the old saying two’s company three’s better” Alex was having a strange effect on her she made her feel like a 13 year old with her first crush.

Her smirks, winks, the innuendo’s, not all of which were subtle ones. They made her have hot flushes running throughout her body; her core ached with the need for Alex to touch her.

The three of them lounged on the huge comfy sofa polishing off ten more beers, a bottle of Jack Daniel’s, and Tequila shots. Laughing, joking, flirting.

Alice knew it would be Shane that would get the girl, She always did. She enjoyed the flirting anyway and neither of them would be rude enough to ignore her so she flirted, and was a little naughty telling Alex some of the more shameful exploits of Shane’s past.

At four in the morning Alice gave up, no one could understand her babbling and she couldn’t really see that well from the amount of alcohol she had drank her mouth and her brain working the best they could against each other to not make any sense at all anymore.

“ Well ladies I’m pickled I’m off to bed Shane would you show Alex where everything is you know you don’t have to leave MI casa zu casa” she barely finished her sentence before passing out falling over the sofa arm.

“Alice “ Shane was up off the sofa and at her friend’s side before she hit the floor.

“Not again, looking over at Alex and seeing the shocked look on her face. Its ok she does this every now and then she’ll be alright I the morning, would you give me a hand putting her to bed”

Taking their drunken friend by either arm they carried her to her room and put her to bed.
“ You fancy another beer? “

“Yes if you’re sure she won’t mind”

“No she wont, she’ll be upset if we didn’t stay at least for a few more “

Shane went to the kitchen for the beer; Alex went to the lounge and grabbed the empties from the table, taking them into the kitchen.

“ There’s nothing worse than having to clean up when you got a monster hangover, where do these go” holding the empty bottles up in her hands.

“ There’s a bottle bank in the cupboard over there” Shane replied as she popped the top off the chilled beer.

Alex put the empties in the cupboard and took the beer from Shane trying desperately to hide from her how much she wanted to grab her, push her against the worktop and have her wicked way.

They talked till the early morning light shone through the small gap in the curtains. Yawning almost in unison at how tired they were neither of them wanting to go home because that meant they would have to say goodbye. Neither would admit to each other they had a connection they both felt deep inside themselves that saying goodnight would give them a pain inside that wouldn’t go until they saw one another again.

Alex stood leaning into Shane she kissed her on the cheek taking in the sweet smell of her as she did hoping that it would be enough to ease the pain inside for a while “Thanks I had a great night but if I don’t go now and get some sleep I probably wont be fit for anything later this afternoon." tell Alice I said thanks too and I’ll probably see you all in The Planet later if your going” with that she went home.


Five minutes must have passed before Shane realised she was touching her cheek where Alex had kissed her goodnight “ goodnight “ she said to the empty room and passed out on the sofa.
She was roused by the sound of Alice singing along to the radio and the smell of bacon frying coming from the kitchen. ”Goodmorning.” Alice nearly dropping the spatula she had been using as a microphone as Shane went into the kitchen.

“I.erm, smirking knowing she had been caught We got bacon and eggs you want some”

“ Yes so long as we don’t have the wailing that goes with it” Shane laughed as Alice went bright red. “ I don’t think my head could take it, you got any pills”

“ Sure top drawer by your side, So how was the rest of your night dirty I hope? “

“ Great and no nothing happened “

Surprised look on her face “really?”

“ Yes really we just talked that was it”

“You talk yeah right that’ll be the day”

“We did, I don’t know it felt strange at first but kinda right, You know?”

Shane desperately wanted to tell Alice about the feelings she had been having toward Alex but she knew if she did that it wouldn’t stay just between them for long. She had already said too much because Alice was looking at her like she was reading a book.
Knowing how Shane felt about talking Alice decided to leave the conversation to a later more sober date and served breakfast.


Woman never usually resisted Shane even when she treated them bad, never letting them stay the night, or simply just ignoring them when she saw them next. They would all be hanging around try to talk to her find out why she was being so mean they all thought they would be the one to tame the wild child in her that they were the one that could have her and keep her forever.

Now it was her who was chasing, going to all the places she thought Alex would be visiting the Planet everyday hoping to bump into her. The girls had seen her they had all had coffee with her and she had rang them at night just for a chat yet she seemed to be avoiding Shane. This excited and annoyed her at the same time she felt like a stalker yet she couldn’t stop herself.

Alex was getting quite the reputation for herself around the bars everyone Shane knew had at least met her but most had got more than that from her. They had told Shane how she would come into the bars much like she did pick up a woman disappear for a few hours then come back all freshly showered wearing different clothes and pick up someone else. Yet they all spoke of her akin to a god even the ones she had used for her own pleasures.

Shane was angry and upset at how Alex was behaving, and a little jealous of the woman that had been with Alex over the last few weeks. Why was Alex treating her this way if she had said or done something wrong then why didn’t she just say so, why was she avoiding and ignoring her like this it tore her up inside to think Alex could treat anyone this way. In need of a release she decided to shoot some pool. Pool was always a good release for any frustration, smacking the balls around the table. Not caring whether they went in or not, It didn’t matter, Just being able to hit something really hard with no consequences.


As she entered the pool hall she scanned around the room “not many in today” she said to the old man behind the counter.

“No but every now and then you do get some great views” he nodded his head to the far corner of the room.

Shane’s heart skipped, as she looked over in the direction the old man had nodded. Alex was at the table looking at her final shot. Long eight ball corner pocket. She was playing one of the young members of the club Shane knew him only from his reputation for being a hustler. The owner never stopped him praying on the new customers that came in he admired the fact that he had the balls at such a young age to challenge anyone to play especially for money.

Shane took a cue from the rack and went to the table “ Well hello there stranger”

“ Hello yourself. Thought you’d been avoiding me, I haven’t seen you in weeks”

“ That’s strange cos. I thought you were avoiding me, I thought I might have said or done something to upset you when we were at Alice’s house”

“ Oh no you didn’t I suppose it probably just us both being busy I know the girls have said that I had just missed you, At the Planet.”

“ Yes probably, you got time for another game after “

“ Yes sure let me just pot this then I’ll be right with you”

“OK no rush don’t let me put you off” Shane smirked as she stepped back from the table to let Alex take her shot.

Alex walked around the table seemingly lining up the shot, but all she could think of was Shane. She hated to lie but that was the only way she could keep her feelings for Shane under control. Out of sight out of mind (well mind, heart, stomach, sex) If she saw her she could only think of how great they would be together, of how she tasted how she smelled so damned edible, how she looked so hot in her baggy ripped jeans and her sleeveless white shirt with various patches all over it covering up the holes, her hair ruffled to look like she had just got out of bed.

Leaning over she lined up the shot pulled back her cue and in the` split second of her pulling back the cue and striking the ball a mental image appeared in her head of how Shane would look in the morning after their long hours of love making. With that in her head she stabbed the cue ball sending it flying from the table. ”Damn it I guess you win, Steve here’s the twenty dollars and thanks for the game”

Steve took his twenty dollars and left the table rather glad that Shane had interrupted them.

“So what we playing for, I mean we have to make it interesting don’t we”

“Well “” Shane pondered a moment then the cheesy smirk appeared “Well how about a favour”

“Like what” Alex looked perplexed.

“Anything you want from say a kiss to I don’t know being a slave for the day”

“Mmm that could be interesting”


“Well it could be for the winner I suppose”

“Better make sure I win then “ smiling to Shane as if she had already decided what she wanted if she won

They played most of the afternoon, the usual flirting and sexual undertones to their chatter.
“Ok last game I make it eight all, winner gets the favour

“Show me what you got, no holding back then.” Alex brushed passed Shane sliding her hand lightly across her midriff as she went for the break.

The game seemed to last forever both missing shots on purpose not really wanting the afternoon to end. Until a mistake by Alex left Shane with two shots and only the eight ball to pot which happened to be in the jaws of the pocket so she couldn’t miss it if she had tried.

Shane potted the ball with so much power she had hoped that the cue ball might have deflected off into one of the other pockets, It didn’t leaving her a mix of elation that she had won, yet disappointed because she wasn’t sure what favour she could ask without being to forward.

“Looks like the glory’s mine”

“Yes it does I didn’t think that game was ever going to end, now what was the favour you wanted?”

“I hadn’t really thought about it, what were you going to ask for if you had won?”

Walking round the table slowly towards Shane “ I was maybe going to suggest a kiss”

Shane swallowed hard “A kiss”

“Yes if you were willing of course it’s just after the other week I kinda been thinking of what it would be like to kiss you”

“Now that you mention it I was kinda wondering that very thing myself, so if it’s alright with you then that’s the favour”

Alex now in front of Shane as she reached out and pulled her closer. Alex leaned into her slowly bringing her lips closer to Shane’s. Lingering lips millimetre’s from each other their shared warm breath seconds felt like hours they stood finally the urge for their lips to touch overcame them both as they shared a gentle kiss. As they parted breathless knee’s weakened neither spoke just basking in the sweetness they created.

“ Well that was definitely worth winning “

“Although technically I won too “ Alex replied smiling “And now unfortunately I’ve paid my debt and I have too go, I got an assignment due in by eight that I haven’t even started. So I will catch up with you later” She kissed her on the cheek once more and went home.

At home that evening Shane paced the room, running the days events through her mind, she’d done it again all the flirting the lingering looks, the sexual tension surely Alex had felt it too. Christ you could cut it with a knife. Then there was the kiss the soft gentle sweet kiss, which was suggested by Alex; just what kind of game was she playing.

The more she thought about her the more she wanted her, now she understood just how some of her ex’s felt when she had treated them in this way. It didn’t stop the wanting her, the need of her touch. She had felt powerless in the control of her feelings. Something she didn’t like, She vowed all those years ago never to let anyone have that kind of power over her ever again.

Her family treat her like shit all she ever wanted was for them to hug her to look after her, keep her safe from harm. Yet they used love as a weapon to make her feel dirty. They used her and her body to earn money to pay for their drug habits. Selling her to anyone for any price telling her that if she really loved them she would let the buyers do whatever they wanted to her and never tell. This left her both physically and mentally scarred, as she grew older knowing it was wrong what her parents were asking her to do. That was until she left staying with friends, or anyone who would let her shack up with them always moving around using girlfriends sometimes just to get a roof over her head.

Finally at nineteen years old she decided that this was not how her life was going to be. She began therapy sessions at some small town practice; it was cheap and was easier to talk to someone she didn’t know, someone who couldn’t judge her or blame her for her life because chances were they had probably heard worse. The therapy sessions helped her to get control of her past, helping her to gain some of her self-respect back. Putting her back in charge of her own mind, her own body.

Her final therapy session gave her complete control of her own self worth. That final session with Toni had made her the person she was today. She knew from the previous hours with her that Toni was attracted to her, which if she had not been a patient of hers that something could have happened between them. Those previous hours she had manipulated the naivety of the young recently qualified psychiatrist, flirting with her noting her reactions testing just how far Toni would let her go before ending the session and telling Shane she was out of order.

The final session Shane walked in at her appointed time casually walked up to Toni and kissed her passionately, slowly undressing her prey and taking from her what she needed. Sex under her control, when she finished Toni lay there on the table exhausted Shane leaned over kissed her once more and left never to see her again. That was when she knew she would never let anyone have control of her ever again.

That hunger of power growing inside her now as she paced the room. The need to dominate. To take control of the situation that seemed to be alluding her. Alex had taken that feeling from her maybe not intentionally but she had made her feel unworthy, not good enough to be with her, not deserving of her love. Shane need to stop thinking of Alex, she needed to get out she needed that power back.

Not wanting to bump into any of the gang tonight she decided to go out of town. Also there would be less of a risk of being stalked by one of her recent flings. Standing at the bar holding her ice-cold beer she scanned the room. Taking mental notes on whom was worthy of her attention. Including the D.J whom she had heard play a few times recently and had on many occasions thought to prey upon. The music pumped through the club a good beat; the dance floor was packed with couples and singles revelling the night away.

Finishing her fifth beer and ordering herself another she noticed a large crowd of woman coming through the doors. They were laughing and joking around with each other having the time of their lives most of their attentions focused on one particular member of the group. A bride to be, 5ft 8 slim, long dark curly hair, black boot cut jeans and halter neck white top glowing in the neon lights of the club. The group she was with had made her wear a banner which draped her shoulder to waist which read LAST CHANCE BEFORE IM WED.A small veil had been clipped to her head was covered in condoms and L plates confetti stuck to it. Pink fluffy handcuffs on her left wrist. The key for the shackles hung from her right wrist on a thin chain. Shane watched as them as they danced and played party games making the hen perform tasks which were picked from cards one of the group was holding.

The bride to be caught Shane’s eye as she looked up from the card she was reading. Smiling at her she winked and looked away carrying on the games with the group. A little while later the bride headed off to the bathroom, Shane wasn’t going to let this opportunity go besides she did remind her of someone she had come here to forget. So she followed her.

The bride was fixing her hair in the mirror as Shane walked into the room and headed straight for the hand wash basin next to her. Rinsing her sweating palms in the cold water she looked through the mirror to the woman beside her and smiled.

“It’s good music in her “ the bride smiled back

“Yes it is the DJ is getting quite a name for herself round the local bars, it helps that she is hot as sin too though.. Right!"

“Yes it does I wouldn’t mind meeting her actually it is my last night of debauchery after all”

“Well I had noticed the banner, and was kind of wondering if erm” Shane paused while she considered whether to finish off the sentence she had in her head.

The decision was made for her as the bride flashed her a huge dirty grin and said, ”Well if it wasn’t the DJ’s lucky night then I was kind of hoping it might have been yours”

A little stunned by her honesty but keen none the less Shane turned facing her. Smiled and leaned in closer, pausing momentarily to ensure she wasn’t going to get a slap in the face, and kissed her gently at first unsure of the bride reaction, as she felt her kissing back they became more passionate in their embrace. Their tongues seeking one another in desperation, hands began groping gently at first then with as much passion as their mouths. Heavy breathed Shane managed to find enough time to whisper out the words “in there” As she steered the bride to the nearest vacant cubicle. “No you weren’t interrupting anyway whose wrong side of the bed did you just get out of ”Tina replied with conviction.

“Sorry, I wasn’t meaning to be off with you, I just haven’t been sleeping to well of late and I think its catching up on me, you know I really don’t get people sometimes why can’t they just say what they mean or how they are feeling instead they have these silly games, that just leave everyone confused it really messes with your head” Shane stopped, she didn’t know where all that came from but she knew she had to stop when she realised every word she said was being directed to Alex. Tina and Bette looked at each other mouths open at what they had just witnessed between Alex and Shane.
“Oh my god. I never thought I would see that”

“Me neither baby, I mean what the fuck she’s the queen of mind fuck’s”

Alex sat a bewildered look on her face like she wasn’t really sat there guilt and anger raging inside of her not entirely sure which emotion she should have been feeling at that moment.
Tina turned to Bette turning their attention to Alex “Well I never thought I would see the day that Shane fell in love”

“Shane’s in love” Alex couldn’t get the words out though she new them to be true she felt the same way for her but didn’t know where it would start or end for them.

“We saw that little rant was directed at you, and you know it, what’s going on? We’ve all seen how you too are together Christ if you could bottle chemistry you would make a fortune, come on what’s really going on why all the games?”

Bette got another round of coffee’s in and they listened intently as Alex explained


“It’s not that simple, yes I’m attracted to her, yes I would love nothing more than to have a relationship with her but. She paused not sure whether to continue…You remember I told you my sister was a psychologist and is setting up a small practise outside of town. Well when she first qualified one of her first cases was a deeply troubled eighteen-year-old girl. Shane.”

Tina and Bette looked surprised they knew Shane was hiding her past because she never talked about any of it but they now understood maybe why she didn’t want to share any of it with them.

“Well Shane saw Toni everyday for about six months, I got to say Toni is excellent at her job a real professional. Now, but somewhere in those months she fell for Shane, head over heels in love with her in fact she couldn’t stop talking about her we all told her it was wrong and she couldn’t let anything happen between them. “It took us months to get Toni back to her old self again we even moved here because she found it hard to work in her old job she needed a fresh start somewhere new and well moms thought it would be good for all of us. I’m not saying they weren’t right I love it here and I have fallen for someone who obviously has fallen for me too. But there lies the problem I can never be with Shane, if Toni even new we had been hanging out she would never forgive me, and to me blood is thicker than water no matter what.”

Bette and Tina didn’t speak, instead sitting silent letting it all sink in. Bette finally managed to impart her words of wisdom “Listen Alex, what happened between Shane and your sister had nothing to do with you unfortunately bad relationships are what you have to go through before you know when you’ve the real thing. I’m sorry that Toni got hurt but like you said Shane was pretty fucked up back then and your sister should have known what the outcome of any relationship with her”


“Don’t take this the wrong way but Shane was the one having the counselling if anything your sister could have taken advantage, unlikely knowing Shane as we do but there are two sides to every story. I understand the need to feel like you have to avenge Toni but at what cost to you. Have you even thought that by not giving you two the chance you might just be throwing away the one in a life time opportunity for total happiness.” Tina smiled at Bette she couldn’t have said anymore or any better.

Alex had tears in her eyes as she looked at them both “I know I know your right but how do I fix this, where would I start making things ok again.”

“Well the first step ii think for you is to decide what you want a chance a t happiness, or revenge for something which can only have had one result before it had ever started, your sister will understand, you need to talk with her, the first time she saw Shane was probably just shock. But you won’t know till you have made a decision on what you want”.

Alex stood up a tear rolling down her cheek. She leaned over kissed them both “I’m so lucky to have friends like you,”


Alex walked for what seemed like hours not really needing to make any decision as that had been made as soon as she had left the Planet. She walked because she wasn’t sure how she was going to tell Toni. Scared she was going to lose her not sure what her reaction was going to be Alex wanted to make sure every possible scenario had been run through in her head first so she knew roughly what words she could possibly say to not lose her sister. When she had walked till her feet ached she headed home, she had to do this now or it might be too late for her and Shane too ever find out if they had something more than a physical attraction.

Walking the drive up to her house she saw a dirty old banged up Mustang parked across the lawn.
“Toni I’m home where are you we need to talk and whose is the car? I know you like old cars but that thing doesn’t look like it would ever run”

Toni grinned as she met Alex in the lounge. “Well hello and you really should have a little more tact before you slang someone’s car”

“Sorry, is someone else here, and why are you grinning at me like that what’s going on”

“There’s someone here to see you “

Shane came into the lounge “Well that’s my car and it runs very nicely thank you very much” she smirked at Alex seeing how red she had gone.

“Well I think you too need to talk. Alone so I’m off for my date. Wish me luck its been so long I hope I don’t do anything stupid “ Toni kissed Shane’s cheek and wished her luck too then kissed Alex cheek as she hurried off into the night. Leaving Shane to explain.

Shane broke the silence “I spoke to Tina and Bette earlier, thought I should apologise to them for my little show and maybe let them in on why it happened m a big dork but you make me want to be a better person, I never had anyone make me feel like I was worth anything but you do, They told me a few things they thought I should know from your chat with them this morning.”

Alex stood still not knowing what to say and still reeling from the speed at which Toni had left the house.

“ I came round to talk to Toni explain my side of things to her about what happened back then, I’m so glad she still a fantastic doctor because it was so much easier than I thought, well that was after I persuaded her to let me in. She didn’t want to talk here incase you came home early so we went for a few drinks. When we finished our chat she asked me if knew any nice single woman so I got Alice over. I think I make a good matchmaker them to were so wrapped in each other I made my excuses to go. That’s when Toni gave me the keys to wait here for you coming home, She made it home before you obviously and wouldn’t let me leave.


“We been trying to work out what I’m gonna say but all I seem to be doing is rambling on nervously, Hoping at some point you might jump in and save me” she grinned.
Alex slowly walked to Shane their eyes never leaving each other; reaching for her face with her hand she held her and gently kissed a soft sensual kiss of two people in love.

Their passionate hunger of wanting each other soon took over their embrace. Shane was never one to dominate but with Alex she didn’t care, so long as she was with her.
