Your Vacation Coordinator

Gil sat looking at the note once more. It really was intriguing him. First he knew there would only be his fingerprints on the paper. Second it had been printed on his printer. He knew that for a fact as he had watched it finish printing. Third his PC was supposed to be the only one that could print on his printer. Fourth was the fact that there weren't any programs open on his PC especially not word. On his return to his office no one had been there or in the hallway area close by. He was at a lost as to how the note came to be printed on his printer, but he wasn't about to report this and have to show the note. No, there was just no way. He kept staring at it, the words running though his mind over and over.

Dear Gil,

It's with the utmost respect that I request you meet me at the following location:

Go to Mt Charleston; stay on the main road until you past that road you had to turn on for the last case you handled up there. The road after it, turn right and go to the end where you will need to follow it around to the right. The road after awhile will turn right again but there's a dirt road leading away to the left, follow that to the large cabin and go in. I will be waiting for you in the basement.

I will expect you to be there by one o'clock tomorrow. I'm fully aware that you have the next seven days off and no plans.

It's true he did have the next seven days off. Ecklie had commanded that not only he but Greg be put off work for the next seven days. Ecklie had arrange replacements when he realized just how much overtime time the two had on the books for the last several months. Gil knew only four people were aware of the forced leave as it had only been assigned about two hours ago and only himself, Greg and Catherine had been in the office.

"Gil, you and Greg have exceeded an acceptable amount of overtime for over three months and it's stopping now. You two will file your report on the case you just finish and will not return to this place for seven, and I mean seven full days. The report shouldn't take more than an hour, two at the max. Catherine, make sure they're out of there on time as I have a meeting to get to."

They all left his office. Greg went back to the PC he had been working on. Catherine went to her office; Gil went to his office and Ecklie to his meeting. It was about an hour later that Greg handed his report to Gil said goodbye then left for his vacation. Gil read it and filed it with his. He took the file and put it in the finished bin in Ecklie office. Gil stopped by the bathroom on his way back to office. He had been gone maybe five minutes and upon his return he had found the note printing.

"Gil, Gil," Catherine stepped into his office and stopped at the desk "Gil!"

"What?" Looking up from the note Gil smiled "Yes, I'm going. See shutting down the PC and everything. I'll see you in seven days. Bye"

Gil stood and quickly gathers his things then headed out the door.

"Hey, have a good time and get some rest. See ya."

That was yesterday and now Gil was on the road. He was checking the note and time once more. Still wondering if he was crazy to be doing this. He had take hours to pack his bag then unpacked it only to do it again and again. After the short nap he had gotten up and thrown things back in the bag, hopped in the car and started driving to the place in the note.

Finally reaching the cabin, he scanned the area. Gil thought it looked okay but he didn't see signs any other cars. He grabbed his bag out of the car and walked to cabin; it was a little late to go back now. After he glanced back at his car he saw a note on the door.

Dear Gil,

It's with the utmost respect that I request you walk into the cabin.

Your room is up the stairs, first door on the right.

I would like for you to take off you shoes then change into the jeans and t-shirt that is laid out on the bed. I will be waiting in the basement for you with refreshments.

Pulling the note from the door Gil went up the stairs to the room. He dropped his bag on the bed and changed his clothes as requested. He should be more worried about what could be happening but he just had a feeling that it would be alright. He rarely had been wrong when he really listened to his instincts.

Gil walked down the steps to the first floor then walked around to get the lay out of the place and at last headed down to the basement. He opened the door to the basement and a light came on. The light shone down on the stairs and the small room below. Gil was checking it out as he took each step. He saw that there was a washer and dyer under the stairs. He saw a door on the other side of the small open area straight across from the bottom of the stairs.

Noises could barely be heard coming from some place beyond the door. Gil opened it and stepped into a second room. This one had a small kitchenette setup on the back wall and a door to the left. Gil walked over to the door, slowly turned the handle and opened it. The sight before him took his breath away. It was going to be one very interesting vacation.

The room was the best baby room he had ever seen. It was set up for a "Big Baby" and it had not one but two babies in it. One very young man laying the crib with a bottle, drinking milk, at least the fluid was white. The other was in a playpen with a teddy bear and sucking on his thumb, well, that what it look like at first. The two babies saw daddy and one started crying and pulling at his diaper while the other dropped his pacifier. Gil walked over and picked up the, um, pacifier. It was the first time he had seen one shaped like a penis. Gil slipped it back into Nick's month and kissed him on the forehead. Then he headed for Greg stopping by the changing table for a new diaper. He wasn't sure exactly what was going to happen when he changed the diaper.

Before dinner came the two boys had manage to put daddy into the diaper and were getting ready to feed him dinner.

Eight days later Gil walked back into his office.

Catherine stopped by on her way out, "Hey Gil, did you have a good rest?"

He looked up, "No, now that I'm back at work I can rest but I did have a playful good time."

Catherine started to open her month to ask what that meant but before she could Gil came back with, "Catherine isn't your daughter going to be waiting for you?" "Bye, see you later and please shut the door."

She turned and headed out shaking her head. Greg came flying past her, running as if he had forgot something and into Gil's office slamming the door shut behind him, laughter creeping under the door as she walked out of the building.

Catherine was thinking as she left 'Nick will at least be back tomorrow maybe he can find out what happened. He always seems to know how to find out about these things.' She hoped he had a good time in Texas with his family after all two weeks off usually meant he was going to home.

Catherine kept thinking, "What would be a playful good time for Gil? And laughter?"

PS: Nick had been amazed at how easy it was to get into Gil's office without anyone noticing him. They all knew he was on vacation. Greg had been right about the slipping of the note to Ecklie to check the overtime stats.
