“Ayden! …Ayden! …AAAAYYYDEEENNN!” No need for that. The girl in question stopped turned around glaring at the person with annoying voice

“What Gavin? We’re already late for school as it is!”

The boy in question gave a lopsided grin. “ Aww, Ayden we’re not that late, so chill out and wait up .”

Ayden rolled her crystal blue eyes and raised her hands in exasperation. “ You’re permanently late Gavin, I however am not!” The brown eyed boy grinned.

“So your point?”

Ayden rolled her eyes. “ Fine have it your way; see if I help you with your homework from now on!”

Gavin looked stricken and started to hurry up and walked past her.

“Well what are you waiting for?”

Ayden grinned “You would think he would learn that trick by now…” she muttered to herself. She hurried up after Gavin who began running, calling out another name. Boy was the boy annoying, but you would never find a friend more trusting and loyal then Gavin.

“Scarlett!” Gavin yelled trying to catch up with the brown haired girl. Scarlett turned around laughing.

“Late again Gavin, and you took Ayden down with you this time?”

Gavin smirked. “Yeah, she threatened to not help me with my homework again, so I would hurry up!”

Scarlett laughed. “Better watch it; she might actually do it this time Gavin, you know her!”

Gavin grinned. “I know, but I pout and give the puppy dog eyes no one can resist me!” Ayden walked up behind him, smacking him hard on the back of his head.

“Well let’s go, dog boy!” Scarlett laughed at her best friends. Gavin glared at the back of Ayden’s blond head. Scarlett grabbed his arm and pulled him after Ayden as they walked through Angel Grove park, heading towards to the High School. As the three teens walked through the park the ground began to shake.

“What the hell?” Gavin called trying to keep himself upright. Ayden and Scarlett grabbed onto him to keep themselves steady, but the shaking knocked them all down.

“What’s going on?” Ayden yelled, trying to get up from the shaking ground.

”Earthquake?” Scarlett yelled.

“No!” Gavin yelled back, pointing to the sky.

Black fighter jets were swooping down through the sky, by the dozen, and began to attack Angel Grove. There were screams of fear everywhere.

“Alien attack!” Ayden exclaimed in shock.

The shaking stopped, and creepy looking guys with long white hair pulled back, white masks and white tights appeared with weapons. They didn’t quite look human, and didn’t speak English; they just spoke in a series of grunts and groans.

“Alien attack defiantly right!” Gavin grabbed the girls by the arms. “Run!”

Ayden and Scarlett ran after Gavin the white Minion foot soliders followed them.

“We need to get rid of them!” Gavin called, looking at the alien warriors from over his shoulder.

“Gavin, do you remember that weird structure we use to play around in the woods near here, when we were kids?” asked Ayden, quickly formulating a plan.

Gavin nodded as they ran. “We can loose them there; the woods are like a maze…” Gavin grinned at Scarlett who nodded, and they took off into the woods, trying to lose the minions.

Suddenly, a loud blast shocked them into stopping turning around.

A human looking figure in some kind of silver uniform was fighting off the foot soldiers. His fighting technique was incredible. His punches were aimed perfectly at the minions’ chests, which knocked them to the ground.

“A…Power Ranger?” Scarlett whispered out in shock. Ayden dropped her back pack and jogged quickly out of the woods.

“I’m helping him!”

Scarlett and Gavin shared a look, knowing not to bother arguing with her, because they would never win. Shrugging their shoulders, they followed after their friend.

Ayden ran up to the Silver Ranger, who to her surprise, pushed her back.

“Run!” he said harshly. Ayden snorted.

“Nope, sorry, I don’t take commands from anyone but me. Maybe if you ask nicely, but no: I’m not leaving!” She kicked one of the Minions and sent it flying. “I’m helping.”

The Silver Ranger sighed and started fighting again, not bothering to argue.

Ayden stood back-to-back with the silver clad figure, and then leapt forwards. She round-house kicked one in the neck, hooked another with her fist and just managed to duck an attack from yet another of them. She rolled sideways then leapt up, stabbing her foot into one minion’s groin. The ranger helped her to her feet, and she noticed his firm grip.

Seconds later, Gavin and Scarlett strode up to the two exhausted fighters. Scarlett’s face was awe-struck, and Gavin just looked amazed.

“Nice fighting form,” the Silver ranger said to Ayden.

Ayden shrugged modestly.

“Come with me,” he continued, looking at Ayden, then to Gavin and Scarlett. ”All of you ...there’s something you need to know…”
