I know you wanna talk
And tell me about your day
But I keep wandering off
Grissom sat and tried to listen as Sara was telling him about the case that she had that day. They had gotten back into the friendship that they once had but Grissom knew there was more. He wanted more. It was hard for him to keep his mind from wandering around this woman. She was so gorgeous.
Oooh How your hair
Falls in front of your face
While you try to keep it up
She was getting annoyed with the ponytail she was keeping. Small wisps of the hair around the frame of her face kept getting in her way. She leaned over the table on the dinner pointing to one of the pictures of the crime scene explaining about on the blood patterns that kept bugging her. When she reached over he could see down her shirt. He knew it was bad for him looking but he couldn’t help himself.
I’ve always paid attention to your point of view
But now I want to focus on the rest of you
The way I fantasize about
What I’d give, what I’d do
I just want to work you out
Times like this I’m so glad you can’t read my mind
Shame on me another time
Sara noticed that he had that far away look in his eyes and she knew his mind was elsewhere.
“Griss, you even hearing me?”
“Huh? Yes of course. Go on.”
“You aren’t even hearing me. I might as well be talking to a brick wall.” She got up to leave.
Please don’t walk away
I’m only drifting cause you look so good tonight
Now that were alone it’s so hard to listen
You know you’ve got me mesmerized
I’ve always paid attention to your point of view
But now I want to focus on the rest of you
“Sara, don’t leave, please?” Grissom pleaded with his eyes and words. “I have been a little distracted tonight, but its only because I think that you look wonderful tonight.” Sara made a mental note to thank Greg for spilling coffee on her shirt.
“Yeah. This is Catherine’s shirt. Greg spilled coffee on mine.”
“Thank you Catherine.” Grissom spoke out loud picturing Sara in a wet shirt.
“Look, Sara. Not that I don’t care about the case or what you have to say because I love to hear you talk about something you’re so passionate about, but how about we save this for another time. I know that there has to be some other parts of you that need attention.” Sara’s mouth hung open. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Grissom was a changed man.
“You wanna go to my place?” Sara nodded as Grissom helped her clean up some of the papers from the case file and smiled the whole way to the car.
Sara smiled as she had one thought as they got into his Tahoe.
He knew what to do now.
