AN ERZEKI INYENC
“Conrad, it is decided. You put me in charge of this so I am in charge, do you understand that?” Catherine chided.
“Yes, Catherine, it’s just…”
“Just what, Conrad?”
“What do you know about this Restaurant? Is it really some place we want to go?”
“I know it is called, AN ERZEKI INYENC, and that it is one of the hot new places in Vegas, besides, how often does the LVPD put on a function for us? We have to make it good, you of all people should know how much we deserve this.”
“Why can’t we have it at town hall, like we always do?”
“You see how many people show up for that, Conrad, that should be answer enough.”
Catherine began to walk away.
“Hey, Catherine.”
“What?” She turned to face him.
“I expect everyone to be at this function. That includes Gil Grissom as well.”
“Yeah…Yeah.” Catherine walked away.
Saying that Gil Grissom was anti-social was polite. He was an amazing scientist, an amazing entomologist but he really lacked the personal skills required by people to function in the world.
He preferred his bugs and his experiments to human contact. Most had known him for years and had never really seen him with a girlfriend.
When Sara Sidle showed up to investigate the Holly Gibbs case they all figured maybe he had a girlfriend all this time but he was just hiding it. That didn’t seem to be the case at all, they worked well together but it never seemed to go any farther than that. Not even Sara Sidle could penetrate his thick outer shell.
How the hell am I going to get Gil to go? This is going to be a task.
Catherine sat at her desk and thought about what she needed to do to finish planning this function.
Let me see, Guest list, got that down…
Restaurant is booked
We need a menu
I’ll have to ask people what they want to eat, no hell, I won’t ask at all; I’ll just make sure they have a vegetarian option for Sara.
Warrick stood in the doorway of Catherine’s office.
“Hey.”
“Hey, what are you doing?”
“Trying to plan this LVPD party.”
“Oh, Ecklie gave you that task.”
“Yes.”
“Aren’t you lucky?” He joked.
“Oh yeah.”
“Where is it this year? Is it at town hall again?”
“No actually it is at a place called AN ERZEKI INYENC; it is new and has got some amazing reviews.”
“Wow how did you get Ecklie to agree to that?”
“I told him I was planning it, I also have to make sure everyone goes. How the hell am I going to make sure Gil goes?”
“Why do you have to do that?”
“Orders from Ecklie.”
“Oh. You could always tell him that it will have bugs.” Warrick laughed.
“Oh yeah, that would be sure to work and chase away everyone else.” Catherine laughed.
“You are smart Cath, I’m sure you will think of something.”
“I hope so. If you all don’t show up it is on my ass.”
“Yes, Catherine, it’s just…”
