He knew the Other was in town. The
flower had been carefully taped to his locker door - Sara'd oh so carefully
mentioned it, as if he'd had some big night.
Oh, yea. Big Night.
One Big Night coming right up curtsey of a stubborn Other.
Sometimes, alright, one time Warrick recalled getting the
drop on him. Yea, that had been sweet as candied apples. Of course it had taken
some doing, but it had been worth it in the end. Oh, it had been worth it.
Whoever sent the flower had been topping, but this time,
this time Warrick was planning a surprise attack.
The note was simple, "The usual 8'o clock", but he
couldn't get it out of his head.
*
The Other had to be going out of his head. Danny was sure of
it. He'd made everything so vauge - if Warrick had done that to him, he'd,
he'd... well. Who knows.
Who knows. Perhaps it was worth dropping a hint to Warrick
that it was time to attempt another surprise on him. If he could, of course.
A night of sheer, rawness lay in store Danny figured. If he
played his cards right, he'd have Warrick panting after more, a task made
difficult by both of them being street hard and wary of anyone trying to get
close.
Oh yes. Warrick may have been, good naturedly "going
with the flow", but if he had his way, the flow was about to be halted.
*
Gil's words echoed in Warrick's head.
"If you can't get clean and stay clean,
Warrick...."
Gambling was Hell, being yelled at by Grissom was even
worse.
But Heaven was on the way, courtesy of one street-smart
Hispanic FBI agent, if only he could get the upper hand. Danny had been getting
the upper hand lately, not that Warrick minded much.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> When the Hispanic Agent topped, it just made
a good thing better. It was just, well,
Warrick wanted his turn and show Danny he hadn't forgotten everything just yet.
So, how best to better someone who could match him?
"Not be yourself," was
one suggestion that came from the least likely source at the Lab - Nick.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Nick had been caught performing a tonsil
check on Greg of all people at the time.
“Be yourself,” was another, this time from Greg, countering
his boyfriend’s advice. When the hell
had that happen?style='mso-spacerun:yes'>
Catherine had told him to think what he would do, and then
plan around that after he asked her between Greg’s Lab and going out on a case.
Grissom, well after the dressing down earlier, there was
about a snowball’s chance of surviving the Vegas desert, that he was going to
ask for Grissom’s advice.
