Author: me ^-^, that is: Jo, or also called kitten *purr*
E-Mail: Feli-chan@gmx.de
Rating: R

Disclaimer: Do I really have to say that these guys do not belong to me?! Shame on Panzer and Davis
And whoeever wants to keep them for themselves, I don`t want to make any money, just
Play a little
Note: not my normal cup of tea, but the only snippet which is representable, I`m usually more a sap,
I intended this snippet to be the prologue of a long fantasy/scifi future of the Highlander after the Gathering
Story, but I haven`t written down most of it, so maybe with some help and encouragement…who knows
Here we go:
There was so much pain, he couldn`t stand the fire shooting through his body
As wave after wave of feeling and memories cursed through his mind.
His body was held upright through the lightning of the powerful quickening
The most powerful and also most painful he`d ever taken.
Pictures of love and hate, pain and joy mixed with his own memories,
Everything flavoured with his lovers existence.
He screamed and cried, prayed to deities long forgotten for it to stop
But it didn`t. Through all of the turmoil running mad inside of him, his eyes never
Lost their focus: the dead body of his mate and the head lying next to it,
Once passionate and gentle brown eyes, opened, now frozen in accusatory and
Unbelieving stare.
Methos could still see the hurt and betrayal in them as his Ivanhoe came down on
Duncans neck.
And the other emotions he didn`t want to acknowledge, but now it also came through the
Quickening : the love, how could he? Even in this moment, the moment when he killed
His lover, the Highlander still had shown him his love through his eyes,
He felt it seep through his mind, calming and soothing and causing so much more pain.
More and more memories of their time together made his way into the ancients memory;
His resistance against his lovers quickening faded and he began to take it in like a starving
Man in front of a feast.
So much love, so deep, tears made their way down his cheeks, his screams ceased to small
Whimpers.
Images of their last love making invaded him, he saw himself through Duncans eyes, felt affection
love and wonder; and then he saw his figure standing over the Highlander, saw his own emotionsless
eyes looking down on Duncan, the sword high above his head, he felt unbelief and …acception
the unability to fight his lover, rather dying, Methos gasped
The lightning died and silence followed.
The oldest immortals` raging breath the only sound and a nearly unheard little dripping
His gaze fell down to his sword from which a small stream of dark red blood dropped
Onto the soil
And everything went black
End (for now)
