Traffic whizzed by Daniels car as he drove along the wet roads. A light rain had misted the roads and surfaces making cars and drivers tense. Daniel made his away along the winding roads of Colorado Springs half listening to the music that wafted from his radio. His mind was elsewhere milling about in the relics he had been cataloguing for the last few days from a dig he had recently been on. It had been an exciting discovery, so hard to pull away from. Sam had finally convinced him to go home after spending two days straight in the dusty, windowless room.

Daniel turned down another room one step closer his home when the flicker of lights appeared in his mirror his eyes glancing to the reflection of red and blue behind him. He sighed noting his speed. He going over a few miles but nothing he would consider as drastic. He pulled to the side as the car pulled up behind its bright white light causing him to look away. The city police must really be below quota, he thought. He gathered his driver’s license and all pertinent information when the tap at the window startled him.

He rolled down the window talking, as he did “I didn’t think I was really speeding offi…”

A soft but firm voice cut him off “Step out of the car please.”

“Excuse me?” Daniel said unsure

“Please step out of the car sir.” the voice behind the light repeated

“Yes mame…” Daniel said removing his seatbelt as he yanked the door handle in the same motion stepping out. He pressed the lock button and slipped the keys into his pocket. The female officer stood slightly shorter then himself her light still held high in his eyes. He considered asking her to lower it but changed his mind she most likely used it to intimidate those she pulled over. A tactic that was necessary sometimes for a woman in her line of work. “What is the problem?” he asked politely

“This car was reported stolen…turn around please.”

“Stolen??” he fumbled over the words “I’m sorry there is a mistake…”

He watched as her hand reached for the side arm “Turn around..hands on the car”

Daniel hesitated not wanting to start anything he complied “Officer..I don’t know how this happened…I can assure you..this is my car.” He tensed as she patted him down roughly he could feel her body next to his. Her hands seemed to linger for a moment at times. “I can prove it…”he continued objecting.

“We can figure this out at the station..” she finally replied as cold metal touched his skin. He knew that feeling. Cuffs. She slid them on with ease. He groaned inwardly at the all too familiar feel of metal on his flesh.

“What about the car?” he asked.

“It will remain here for the time being.” She said “Let’s go” she said tugging at his arm. She walked him back to the unmarked cruiser. He slid into the back seat with a grunt as she slammed the door.

He watched her climb into the front seat. He squirmed in the uncomfortable position the cuffs forced him to sit in.

She put the cruiser in to drive and they pulled away. Daniel looked back at his now dark car with a shake of his head in disbelief. He attempted to plead his case once more “I really don’t know what is happening…but that is my car.”

Her shoulders moved up in a shrug. “I’m sure it is sir…” she said in a condescending tone.

He sighed to himself. It wasn’t going to be a fun ride back to the station.

The car moved through town bumping along in silence. Static emitted from the cruiser radio every few moments but no words were audible.

Daniel watched the as the homes and buildings became more scarce. He didn’t think the station was that far. He strained to recall the last time he had driven past it.

“I thought we were going downtown? He asked

She didn’t answer and he looked outside his concern becoming worry.

“Excuse me?” he said attempting a response. “Hello?”

Daniel watched as she removed the police hat and long hair tumbled out from underneath. She started to chuckle “Daniel Daniel Daniel”

Daniel’s stomach churned when he finally registered the voice. Sloane.

“Hello Sloane.” He said. “Why the ruse?”

She smiled in the mirror her face no longer hidden by the rim of the hat. “Did you miss me my dear?”

Daniel shook his head “I’m not sure missed is the word I would use…should I feel special..you kidnapped me in person?”

She smiled again “Ahh…dear Daniel..I would hardly say I kidnapped you..you did come willingly..”

It was no use arguing with her at this point. “Where are we going?”

“Now you don’t think I would really tell you that do you? Besides it would ruin the surprise.”

The car rolled up to a large warehouse two huge doors rolling aside as they pulled up. She drove inside parking a feet within the doors. A loud rumbling came from behind them as the once more slid shut. The room was huge. Daniel couldn’t see much into the darkness. He wondered if this was the same building that had been his prison on his last encounters with Sloane.

Sloane stepped out of the car her shoes tapping on the cold concert around to his side she walked to the door next to him opening it “Lets go Daniel..slowly.”

Daniel slid on the seat to the door his foot reaching for the floor to steady himself. He stood up surveying the area. Sloane looked at him with a smile “Welcome back” she said grabbing his arm he pulled him along. They walked across the vast floor for a few minutes when she pulled him to a stop. A large area rug covered the spot they had reached. A table and chair sitting in the center a large brass bed on one side and a few other pieces of furniture like a mock apartment in the middle of nowhere. “Don’t try anything now..” She undid the cuffs “Sit down..” she said indicating the chair.

Daniel couldn’t hear any other sounds. He wondered if anyone was waiting in the shadows at her beck and call. He sat in the chair as she quickly chained his feet and wrists to the arms and legs of the sturdy chair.

Daniel watched as she walked over to the bed slipping the blue cop shirt from her body and discarding it on the bed then she removed the slacks and kicked the shoes from her feet she reached for a black sheer robe she slipped it on strolling back to him.

“It is a shame this will be the last time we share ourselves. I have greatly enjoyed these encounters.” She said sitting on his lap.

“Why don’t you just get to the part where you torture me” he said simply.

Sloane shook her head almost hurt “Do you really think that is why I do this?” she said she sighed heavily “I truly believe you understood…a shame.” She stood her feet slapping on the carpet as she crossed to the table next to the bed. She lifted a small device from it returning. “Do you know what this is?” she asked

Daniel knew. He shook his head. “It’s not a car battery…but I think it would do the job” she said with a smile sitting on his lap once more. “I like the feel of it in my hand.” She squeezed the red button on the side as blue electrical arc appeared between the two nodes on the top. Daniel eyed it. He had been shot more times then he could count by the zat he liked to think he was used to the shock. He wasn’t so sure now as he watched her eyes mesmerized by the blue light.

“It’s the best model made…not even legal in the states it was outlawed several years ago…but I couldn’t resist.” She pressed the code nodes to his neck pressing lightly on the button. Daniel cringed as the flow of electricity ran its course through his body. It was a light zap but enough to rattle him.

Daniel went rigid then relaxed as the arc was spent from his body. She crooned in ear “Did you like that?”

Daniel looked her in the eye but didn’t reply. Sloane regarded his shirt with annoyance. “I think it is time we relieve you of these. She unbuttoned the dress shirt tugging and pulling the garment until his chest was exposed. “Stay right there..” she said going back over to the dresser she returned with a dagger. Daniel flinched inwardly recalling the last time he had seen the shiny blade. Sloane cut away at his shirt until nothing was left but shreds of clothe then she did the same to the pants. “Much better…” she said when she finished. She let the dagger slid to the floor returning her attention to the new toy she had brought.

The zapper found a new target as she squeezed it once again on his chest. Daniel jerked as the surge caressed him once more. Sloane zapped him again and again each time in the neck or chest counteracting each shock with a kiss or nibble. Daniel was ever torn between desire and anger with her actions.

Sloane watched Daniel with increased excitement. “I think its time to take things laying down.” She said with a laugh. She zapped him in the leg with extended pressure. Daniel tried to keep his head clear as his mind became fuzzy fighting the pain when be couldn’t hold it together for any longer he collapsed in the chair unconscious.

Daniel fought the haze his mind slowly clearing. He struggled to open his eyes. He could hear Sloane. She was humming to herself. He peeked under his eyelids attempting to hide his awareness. She was straddling his chest not paying attention to him. He could hear the rattle of chains as she worked above his head. She was chaining him down he could only assume they were on the bed. He could feel the metal biting into his left wrist. Daniel’s mind made the decision quickly and he rolled Sloane with all his strength and the situation was reversed. His left wrist was restrained to the bed with a very long chain. Sloane still gripped the second cuff in her hand her face a cross of surprise, anger, and excitement. What was that hiding behind those eyes? Daniel saw it. She was excited.

“The key..” he said “Where is it?” Sloane shifted under him trying to move.

“Stop..” he said “Give me the key…”

Sloane smiled “Do you think I would do that?”

Daniel weighed his options grabbing the other chain from her grip. “Fine..” he said “Then you will be stuck.” He slapped the cuff around her wrist.

Sloane laughed, “What do you think that accomplishes Daniel?”

Daniel tightened his grip on her body to keep her still “Why do you are doing this?” he lowered his face to hers “Why are you playing this sick game with me?”

Sloane closed her eyes deep in thought. “Don’t you see Daniel..don’t you understand?”

“No tell me..what do you want from me?”

Sloane bucked under him suddenly throwing his balance off. He tumbled to his side as she scrambled to gain control. Daniel reached for her his chains hindering his attempts as they struggled on the bed. Daniel held her back down they grunted as Sloane kicked at him. “Stay still!” he said out of breath. “Talk to me..why? Stop this.” He said flustered.

Sloane looked into his eyes her own challenging yet willing all in one. “Don’t you feel it Daniel? Feel the power? Do you see what I have done for you? I gave back the power. You have felt it draining from your being. The last few years you have felt helpless..helpless to change things you so desperately wished to change.”

“And you think all of these games, the torture, the deranged acts will help me?” he stated in disbelief. “Do you believe I am stronger..better? That I actually like those things..how they make me feel?”

“Don’t you feel stronger…alive?” she asked “Take it all by the horns and shake it up..stop denying all the trials you have been through have not affected you. You take that pain and anger. You lock it up inside. I have seen it. I know it. I have lived it. You are free now Daniel. I have shown you the way. Shown you that you don’t have to deny that side of you.”

Daniel ached. He cried out inside. He knew what she was saying. Knew all the pain he had endured since the moment Sha’re was torn from his life. In that moment she had held up the mirror shown him the truth.

Sloane could see it all coming to light in his face. She lifted herself up gripping him tight. She dug her nails into his back kissing him greedily. Daniel cringed at the pain pulling her closer. He lost himself in her kisses until his body reached eagerness they fell into one as he entered her thrusting with each new goal. Sloane cried out in climax as he continued pushing her legs up further he buried himself deeper with a finale. He climaxed in haste collapsing on her. They were a jumble of sweat and anguish.

Daniel lay on the bed not moving the chain rubbing his wrist raw. He looked at Sloane laying in silence beside him. “Are you going to tell me who you are?” he asked “Or do I live my life not knowing?”

Sloane breathed heavily turning to him “Does it matter Daniel? You not see me after this day.”

Daniel sighed closing his eyes “And how are you going to get me out of here?” he challenged.

Sloane laughed hovering over him “Dearest Daniel..one thing you must know..I am always ready for such things.”

Daniel opened his eyes. Sloane was kneeling above him a dart gun was aimed at his chest. “Wait..” he didn’t get his thought out as she pulled the trigger.

Daniel slipped into sleep as he saw her go into motion. It was over. She had won.

Daniel jumped awake. Something he had grown used to doing. He was clothed in simple slacks and a dress shirt; at least she had given him new clothes. He sat up looking around. He was sitting in the back of his car still on the side of the road where he had left it. He groaned crawling over the seat. The keys were in the ignition. He sat in the cold quiet of the early morning. He considered driving to the warehouse but he knew it would be useless. She would be gone.

He turned the key as the engine turned over he let it run as the windshield slowly cleared from the warmth of the vents. Was everything going to be different now? Daniel wasn’t sure. He could feel something growing inside he felt empowered. He wasn’t sure how Sloane had brought this to him. How it all came together. He didn’t know if what she had said was true. Would he see her again? The heat turned unbearable as Daniel reached to turn it down. He put the car into drive when he heard a siren. His heart jumped as a light appeared behind him careening past a cruiser sailed by off to some emergency. Daniel breathed a sigh his flipping his signal on and merging into traffic. A light rain sprinkled the land as he drove slowly down the awakening streets.
