Did You
Title: Did You?
Description: Lex knows that once a friendship is lost, it's hard to gain it back. But what if he doesn't want friendship? Is it possibly Clark could feel the same way? (Ok, so I'm bad at summaries) M/M,Anal

[A/N- This is what happens when you combine an addictive personality, Smallville, and a case of insomnia. You know, I probably should've just used that as the summary. Hmm. Please Read and Review, it's my first time posting a story and I really wanna know what you think!]
Lex drummed his fingers on his desk impatiently. Clark had called almost a half hour ago, begging to come over, and he still wasn’t here. Even though it had given Lex the chance to take off work and dismiss the mansion staff, the inconsistency was leaving him irritated, which was Lex’s version of worried. Something had to be wrong for Clark to call him, very wrong.
It’d been a week since Clark had run out on him. Lex knew he shouldn’t have even thought to admit his feelings to Clark, but it had been too much and he couldn’t take it, couldn’t take anymore of the incessant closeness that was never close enough or Clark’s apparent blindness to his advances.
There’d been something in Clark’s eyes recently, though. Something different in the way he spoke to Lex, something that suggested he wanted something more. Lex had taken a chance, rolled the dice and lost. Clark looked at him with an expression Lex couldn’t read and ran out of the manor, and seemingly out of Lex’s life.
He was about to fix himself a glass of scotch when he heard footsteps in the hall.
Clark burst through the study doors, his shoulders tensed in anxiety. Lex stood immediately and came around the desk. But here he was. Maybe things weren’t the way Lex had assumed. He could only pray to whatever God there might be…
“Clark, what is it?” he asked. “What’s going on?”
Clark was breathing rapidly, as he had run the whole way there. “I’m sorry I pulled you out of the office, I just needed to talk to you…”
“Of course, no problem,” said Lex soothingly, placing a hand on his arm. “Just tell me how I can help.”
Clark glanced at Lex’s hand on his arm and stepped closer to him. Lex felt the overwhelming presence that shouldn’t belong to someone so young, almost an aura of power and strength that followed him everywhere.
“Lex,” said Clark, his voice almost defensive, “did you… did you mean everything you said? Are you really in love with me?”
Lex sighed. “Clark, I wouldn’t have said it if I didn’t mean it. You know that. That can’t be the reason you’re here.”
Clark laughed ironically and stepped away, pacing. “No, it’s not. It’s just… oh God, this is hard.”
“Clark, what?” What was Clark saying? Why couldn’t Lex read him like everyone else?
Clark stopped and took a deep breath. “It’s just… I think I love you too.”
All right. Lex had to admit; he hadn’t seen that one coming.
Clark continued speaking, his words coming in a rush as he stood in front of Lex again. “At least, that’s what I think this is. I can’t stop thinking about you. Ever since… you scared me. I didn’t know if… I thought I had to be dreaming, that you were, I don’t know, it couldn’t have been happening. But I’m here standing in front of you and you haven’t said I’m insane yet which I hope is a good sign, but I don’t know. All I know,” he said, more slowly now, holding Lex’s eyes with his, “is that every time I’m near you, I want to touch you. I want to be with you, and every moment I’t hut hurts. When you said you… it was all I could do not to just… God, Lex, I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Just… help me out here, will you?”
Lex didn’t need to be asked twice. Of course, maybe kissing Clark wasn’t exactly the best way to go, but the physical closeness and Clark’s lips were starting to drive him insane.
Lex leaned up, wrapped a hand around Clark’s neck and kissed him.
For a moment, Clark did nothing. Then, Lex was pressed against his desk, Clark’s heavier, more muscled body holding him easily. Lex responded in turn, kissing harder and more desperately.
Lex’s brain was on overload, exploding with new information that seemed more important that anything else he’d ever learned. Clark loved him, wanted him, maybe as long as Lex had. It didn’t matter. All that mattered was that he was here; that he had said what he had said and was kissing him now.
Clark broke off. “Lex?” he said, his forehead resting on Lex’s. His hair tickled Lex’s scalp and his breath was hot. Oh, God.
“Hmm?”
“Is the staff gone?”
“Yes.”
"When do you have to be back at work?"
"I took the day off."
“Perfect.” Clark kissed him again, and a shiver went through his spine. Lex entangled a hand in Clark’s thick, dark hair and pulled him closer. Clark rested a hand on the nape of Lex’s neck.
Suddenly, he felt Clark’s other hand on his chest. That was okay. They were surprisingly nimble for being so huge. If Clark had big hands… hmm.
Lex’s very pleasant train of thought was interrupted when he realized Clark was undoing the buttons to his shirt.
“Clark!” said Lex, breaking away reluctantly, because that also was quite pleasant. “What are you doing?” Clark grinned. Ooh, Lex hated that. That grin was entirely irresistible, and irresistible was not what he needed at this point.
“Here I thought you were the experienced one,” said Clark. Then his face lost its humnd wnd was serious. Desire laced his deep voice when he asked, “Don’t you think we’ve waited long enough, Lex? Don’t you think we can…?” Clark trailed off, brushing his thumb over Lex’s jaw, sending a shiver down his spine.
Where did Clark learn all this? They definitely weren’t teaching that at Smallville High. But as much as Lex wanted him- needed, ok, let’s be honest here, needed- he couldn’t let Clark just rush into this.
“Clark,” he said, trying to even his voice, “think about this for a minute. Do you know what you’re doing?”
He snorted. “Yeah, I’m pretty sure.”
“Wait. Think.” God, he couldn’t hold out much longer.
“No and no,” Clark shot back. He softened his voice. “I’ve thought about this, Lex. You’ve got no idea… how much I’ve thought about this.”
God, Clark was hot. Correction: Clark was making Lex hot. What had Clark been imagining? “Clark, think-” Lex swallowed almost audibly, trying to mask the heat in his voice, “- about what the consequences could be. In the eyes of the law, what we’re doing is illegal.”
Clark’s green eyes were impenetrable when he held Lex’s gaze. “What about in your eyes, Lex? I know that you’re not afraid of the law, and it’s not like either of us has trouble keeping a secret. What consequences are you afraid of? What’s really stopping you?”
Lex blurted, “I afraid that if we start, I won’t be able to stop.”
Clark grinned, almost seeming relieved. “That’s not a problem.”
“That’s not what I- Oh, God… Clark, I’m trying to be responsible here, we need to think with our heads, not with our… you get the idea.”
“Thinking with our heads is what made us wait this long anyway!” said Clark. “I’ve spent too long trying to reason my feelings for you, but what I… It has nothing to do with reason.”
“Getting involved like this is really serious. What if you decide-”
“Lex.” Clark’s voice was firm, but his eyes were gentle. “Are you sure this is reason talking? Or are you just afraid that for once you won’t be in complete control?”
He hated it when Clark did that. How could he see through Lex the way he did? Damn him for it. Damn him for making Lex feel this way, and damn him for being so unbelievably tempting.
Clark must have noticed the emotion on Lex’s face, because as he spoke his voice was uncertain, almost frightened. “Lex? Talk to me.”
Lex met his eyehis his was hurting Clark, he could tell, and that was killing him. Screw reason, screw logic, and screw being responsible. He wanted Clark so badly. His body was humming and the heat of Clark’s presence was overwhelming. Emotion was building inside him so that it felt like he would explode, and that wasn’t the only thing due to explode if something didn’t happen soon.
Lex reached a hand up to touch Clark’s face. Clark breathed in sharply at the contact, and Lex saw that despite all Clark’s talk, he was just as afraid. It really hit him that this was Clark’s first time, and that Clark wanted it to be with him.
He grabbed Clark’s arm. “Come on,” he said softly, pulling him towards the door.
Clark followed, looking confused. “Where are we going?” he asked as he followed Lex.
“Some place other than my study. It shouldn’t be… You deserve better than the top of my office desk.”
Clark was silent, but Lex could almost feel the happiness coming from the young man and smiled to himself. He led Clark down the hall, up a flight of stairs, and down another hall before stopping in front of the door. It was a spare bedroom, never used.
Lex opened the door and grinned. It was perfect. The room was pretty simple: high windows with heavy blue curtains, basic oak furniture, and dim lighting. The only truly amazing thing was the bed. It was huge, a four-poster, and covered in dark blue and brown satin sheets. God, dhat hat look inviting…
Lex glanced at Clark and saw him staring, almost as if intimidated. “Clark?” he said inquiringly. Please God; don’t let him have changed his mind. Maybe they should’ve just stayed in the study, maybe it seemed like Lex was flaunting his wealth when really all he wanted was to-
Clark interrupted his thoughts. “I’ve never seen this room before,” he said simply.
Lex sighed inwardly. “It’s an extra bedroom. I’ve never used it. I thought…” Lex bit his lip. “I thought it could be ours, somewhere… private.”
Clark smiled and in an amazing show of speed pressed Lex against the door, slamming it closed loudly. Clark attacked his mouth, making up for what he lacked in experience in eagerness. They kicked off their shoes and Lex began hurriedly undoing Clark’s shirt. He could feel Clark’s erection pressing against his own, the friction driving him insane.
Finally he finished with the shirt and tossed it to the side. Lex ran his hands up Clark’s chest, unable to break away from their kiss to study him. Lex felt him shiver at the contact and smiled to himself. He unbuttoned his shirt hurriedly and threw it off as well.
The feeling of Clark’s skin on his was electric, pulsing through the space between them. Lex was so hard now; it was painful against the constriction of his pants. Lex gripped Clark’s arms- God, they were huge- and pushed Clark to the bed.
Lex sat Clark on the edge of the bed and grinned invitingly. “Lay down, Clark,” he ordered gently. Clark’s green eyes were full of different emotions: lust, fear, nervousness... and maybe even love. He laid back.
Lex moved his mouth down Clark’s muscled chest, making Clark groan in desire. Lex laughed. “Just getting started,” he informed him, undoing Clark’s belt buckle. Clark seemed grateful for it, too; his jeans were obviously becoming a little too tight also. Lex pulled them and Clark’s boxers- flannel- down. He felt his own lower registirstir at the sight of Clark: the boy was huge. He shuddered in anticipation.
Lex was in a hurry now. He tore off his own pants and boxers and kissed Clark again. Their bodies locked together and Lex felt everything: every hard muscle of Clark’s body, every inch of his skin, his long cock pressing on him. Lex ran his hand down Clark’s bacd ovd over his ass, making Clark moan ever so slightly. He wanted this, and now.
“Clark,” Lex said, suddenly realizing, “I don’t have anything to…”
“That’s ok. Believe me, you won’t hurt me.”
“You’re sure?”
“Shut up.”
Lex happily obliged. He rolled on top of Clark. Parting his legs gently, he grinned mischievously at Clark. He kissed Clark’s neck while pushing a finger inside him. Clark moaned and arched his back. Lex continued, adding two more fingers to spread him.
Just as he prepared to enter Clark, he leaned up and they kissed hungrily. Gripping the sheets below him, Lex thrust into him and immediately broke off, gasping for air. God, Clark was tight and so hot. Clark cried out and dug his fingers into Lex’s back, his young face in an expression of supreme pleasure.
“Lex…ohh, God… Lex, Lex, Lex…”
“God, Clark, you’re so tight,” he whisp int into Clark’s lips and he withdrew and then thrust again. His voice was strangled as Clark continued to contract against him. Reaching between them, Lex slid his hand along Clark’s cock, his mentsents in time. Clark bucked to meet his rhythm, whimpering and crying out and chanting his name, over and over. He felt the younger man shiver and knew he was approaching orgasm.
“Come on, Clark,” he murmured, kissing along his jaw. “Come for me.” Clark moaned and shuddered his release.
Lex felt himself going over the edge and kissed Clark again, harder. He’d never felt this amazing, he didn’t want it to stop as waves of orgasm hit him, over and over. He cried out Clark’s name as he came, collapsing onto Clark’s body.
Lex rolled off him, his chest heaving, as was Clark’s. He moved unto his side and kissed Clark softly. He’d envisioned this part almost as much as the sex, when there was a time where no one exisbut but them and murmured words of affection were exchanged. His dream had become reality, however surreal it seemed. Clark Kent was lying next to him, on his bed, having just finished making love.
Lex broke off and whispered, “I love you, Clark.”
Clark opened his eyes and gazed at Lex. “I love you too. I- I never thought I’d say that to you.”
“Me either.” He trailed a hand down Clark’s chest. “God, you’re… beautiful.”
Clbit bit his lip as he looked over Lex’s naked body. “You’re not that bad yourself, Lex.”
Lex laughed and laid back.
A moment passed. Then, Clark asked timidly, “Why did you wait so long?”
“Why did you?” Lex replied.
“That’s fair.”
Lex turned on his side, and Clark turned to face him. “Look, Clark,” said Lex, “I waited because I realized what a- a relationship between us would mean. What it would be like. We- we would always have to hide, at least until you’re older.”
“Because of the police.”
“Yes, because of the police, and because we’re living in Smallville. If word got out… I don’t want to do that to you.”
“I can handle myself, you know,” said Clark amusedly.
“You shouldn’t have to,” responded Lex. “Besides, think about your friends-”
“If they’re my friends, they’d accept it.”
“Think about your family. Think about your father.”
Clark was silent. Jonathon Kent would respond to the idea of Clark and abouabout the same way he would respond to sharp nails being hammered in his eye. If Lex knew Mr. Kent at all, he would guess there would be some throwing of various farming increments.
Lex continued, “We wouldn’t go out to the movies, or to the Talon, or… God, Clark, you’re in high school, you’ve got proms and homecoming and-”
“You think any of that matters to me?” asked Clark, his voice quiet but intense. “Lex, I… If you think I’ll leave you just because we can’tto pto prom together, I’d say you don’t know me at all.”
Lex looked down. “Clark, it’s not that I…” he struggled for words. “It just… I don’t want-”
“To get hurt?”
Lex nodded, a slight blush creeping onto his face.
Clark smiled and, with that ever-endearing farm-boy shyness, laced his fingers with Lex’s. “I’m scared too, Lex. But all this small stuff; the town, my friends, my family… Ok, maybe it’s not so small… I don’t care about that. I care,” he squeezed Lex’s , “a, “about this.”
Lex was suddenly on Clark, kissing him fervently. Clark grinned as Lex moved down his neck and laughed. “Guess I’ll always know when you’re happy now.”
