{Chapter 1}

Her head was thrown back, the slender column of her neck elongated as she laughed loudly. The sound seemed to reverberate off of the concrete walls, amplifying the sound all around them. Nick's hands were held securely on her slender waist, his dark brown eyes sparkling as he danced her around the auto garage.

Nicks heart was beating rapidly, the sound of her husky laughter sweeter to this ears then the current incredibly off beat country song he was singing at the top of his lungs.

"Nick!" Sara managed to croak out between fits of giggles, getting slightly dizzy as he picked her body up and spun her around a couple of times, their chests ping ing flush together.

He slowly stopped, setting her feet gently on the ground. His hands remained on her body, as he looked deep with in the golden hues of her brown eyes. He had thankfully stopped singing, both loosing themselves for a moment in each other's gazes. Her hands were resting palms down on his hard chest, the feel of his rapidly beating heart making her own pick up-tempo.

Nick had been overwhelmed with desire walking into the garage at the site of Sara Sidle leaning over the hood of their crime scene vehicle. She was singing softly to herself, her ass bouncing happily in the air to the unknown beat that was playing in her head.

She had looked up, her voice fading into silence he she sound of his approach. She cracked a small-embarrassed smile, a blush slowly creeping up her graceful neck to stain her pale cheeks.

The dark blue of the jumper she was wearing brought out the paleness in her skin, the color contrasting perfectly with her fair complexion. Her dark hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail, the shorter hairs falling loose from the band to frame her face. The CSI issue jumper was left partially unzipped, the tight black tank top she wore underneath hugging to her breasts.

A faint smudge of black grease traced the bones of her left cheekbone; it was as if she had tried to wipe it clean, only to make it worse. The small gap in the front of her teeth became visible as she gave him a full smile. It was in that moment that he swore he could feel his heart stop beating.

They had been working on this case for going on 20 hours straight, both exhausted and a bit delirious. Brass had called a few hours ago with details of the suspect's vehicle. It had been towed the lab and Grissom had paged Nick to meet Sara in the lab and process the vehicle to irm irm or deny the perp's statement.

"So are you going to stand there all night, or are you gonna help me process this car?" She asked in her throaty voice, her manicured eyebrow quirked up in question.

She could feel the heat of his gaze making her palms start to tingle. The butterflies that she always seemed to mysteriously get when ever he was around started to flutter in her stomach. She didn't know when things had changed between them, but she felt her self anticipating the sound of his voice, looking forward to the next time they would work together.

He smirked at her then, ny sny smile pulling at his lips as he crossed his strong arms over his chest. He leaned against the door to the shop, his eyes slowly moving up and down her body.

"Nah, I think I'll stay right here and let you do all the work. Besides, I like the view. Just turn back around and resume what you were doing before I walked in." His words were flirty, his finger making a turning motion for her to turn back around and lean over the car.

He could see the red blush bite the already rosy appearance of her skin as she crossed her own arms over her chest. She couldn't hide the smile she was trying so desperately to hold back.

"Why Mr. Stokes" she feigned outrage, "were you checking out my ass?" She suppressed the urge to giggle, the hint of desire in his eyes making her giddy.

His handsome smirk turned into a full blown smile, the laugh lines around his mouth spreading to his cheeks, making his face look lighter and fuller.

"Why Ms. Sidle I do believe I was." He whistled low, giving her an approving wink. With each word he spoke the tang of his Texan accent increased.

He watched her eyes grow wide for just a second before he dropped his playful banter and strolled towards the vehicle. He stopped right next to her, his shoulder brushing up against hers as he stood in her personal space. He was well aware of the feel of her eyes on him the whole time, a silent question in her stance. He smiled softly, knowing he had caught her ouarduard. He discreetly leaned into her, inhaling the unique aroma that was uniquely her.

She didn't wear perfume, but she smelled sweet all the same, it was something he couldn't quite place. The scent was ingrained into his memory, even the faintest hint of that scent made him perk up and look for her.

Sara felt her chest tighten, the smell of his spicy aftershave making her knees weak. She could feel the hard muscles of his arms and shoulders pressed against her clothed skin. The tease of his touch was starting to make her dizzy, or maybe it was the lack to sleep and nourishment. She wished she could blame it on the latter, but she knew it was because of his presence.

She shook off the lustful feelings of her partner and best friend, ignoring the heat radiating from his body as best she could as she turned to point towards the exposed engine.

"Brake s bes been cut and there is a dime sized hole in the radiator. Someone definitely tampered with this car." She stated simply, her tone shifting from playful to no-nonsense in the blink of an eye.

Nick always admired the way she was able to shift her persona, becoming the job in a moments notice. His libido always seemed to respond to her voice, especially when she was using her professional 'I'm smarter than you' tone. He had cataloged each one of her tones, storing them away in his brain.

He was almost certain he could cum just by listening to the sound of her husky sex laced voice. The way her brain jumped from one thought to the next, the way her mind pieced together the intricate puzzles of their job. He normally kept his feelings in a tight check, but as the time went on, and the more they worked together it was getting harder. He had been staring, drifting off into la-la land as she briefed him, his body responding before his mind could process.
e wae was emotional and compassionate, her feelings often bubbling to the surface during difficult cases. He felt humbled when she cried; when she sought out his embrace as she let her tears slowly fall from her honey brown eyes. Those were the times when they really opened up to each other, his strong arms wrapping tightly around her body, her face buried against his neck as her warm tears heated his skin.

She didn't cry in front of anyone else, that he was sure of. She d ond only let her carefully constructed guard down for him, and only him. He had seen sides of her no one would ever imagine, she was truly only her self when they were alone.

He was suddenly overtaken with a surge of emotions, the love he felt for increasing in the brief seconds he contemplated everything that he loved about her. He wanted nothing more than to take her into his arms, to feel the soft skin of her neck melting into his mouth. He wanted her like nothing else in the world; he craved her like he was starving.

"Dance with me." He blurted out of nowhere, completely ignoring her findings on the long forgotten car.

Before she could protest she was swept into his arms, her hands automatically coming up to rest on his chest for balance. His hands wrapped around her small frame, his deep voice beginning to sing the most god-awful song that she could imagine.

Only Nick. She thought to her self, his smile contagious. She rolled her eyes at his off key rendition of a song she couldn't even place, his feet moving perfectly gracefully. She had to wonder where and when he had learned to dance, his strong frame whisking her around with out effort. She couldn't help but laugh, deep and rich from the pit of her stomach. She was sure he had lost his mind.

At the sound of his name spilling out of her delicious lips he stilled slowly, his grip only tightening further around her covered waist. How long they had been standing there, neither knew. Their breaths were short pants, both trying to catch there breathes as their bodies gravitated towards each other. It was like a magnetic, both physically unable to prevent themselves from moving towards each other.

"What exactly is going on here?" The deep sound of Grissom's voice made them spring apart from one another, both too preoccupied to hear or notice the fleet of graveyard CSI's that had walked into the garage.

Twin looks of guilt hung on their faces, Sara nervously biting on her lower lip as she cast her dark eyes towards the gray floor. Warrick and Catherine were behind Grissom, both struggling not to laugh at their coworkers. They were acting like two teenagers being caught making out by her father.

Nick coughed, the blush hiding against the already tanned surface of his squared face. He put on his most professional look, deciding just to ignore Grissom's question all together. In all honesty, he had no idea what was going on.

"The break line has been tampered with and we found a small dime sized hole in the radiator, which is consistent with the suspects testimony. Some one set him up." Nick ded oed out slowly, watching as Grissom's brain started to assemble the bits and pieces of the case.

Sara's mouth dropped open, "Hey! That was mine to tell!" She hit him playfully with a balled fist to his arm as she pouted to perfection.

Nick opened his mouth to respond when Catherine broke it up first. "Alright children." The strawberry blonde was unable to keep the amusement out of her voice.

Nick rubbed at his arm, shooting Sara a mock glare, "I think that constitutes as sexual harass!" H!" He smiled at her, making Warrick laugh out loud.

Sara turned, not missing a beat, "And staring at my ass isn't sexual harassment?"

This earned a laugh from Catherine who was shaking her head along with Grissom.

"Enough." Griss sighed in a tired tone, pinching the bridge of his nose. "It's been a long night and shifts over in about twenty minutes. Get cleaned up and meet in the break room for a debriefing. I have a few ideas to bounceund.und. Go home, eat and get some sleep, we have another long night ahead of us." He said speaking to everyone in the room.

They alddeddded that they understood. Grissom shot one more disapproving glare towards Nick and Sara, shaking his head as he made to turn around. He couldn't help but feel slightly jealous at their budding relationship, at the ease they found around one another. They worked better then any other CSI team that he had, there solve ratio was the highest in the Las Vegas division.

He paused in his step at the sound of Sara's hand slapping against what he could assume was his chest, her soft words mumbling under her breath, "Good going Nick! You made him mad."

Everyone exited the garage, leaving Sara and Nick alone to sort out their argument. When the last person left, Nick turned towards Sara, still nursing his wounded arm.

"Hey after shift I wanna show you something. We can grab some breakfast and take it with us." He said hopefully, a slight nervousness creeping into his voice. He wasn't ready to let her go just yet.

Sara lifted her eyebrow, "This isn't one of those, 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours' thing is it?" She asked in amusement.

She felt her self smilince nce more at his genuine laugh, feeling the palm of his hand settle on her lower back. He nudged her towards the door, walking closely behind her as he smiled. He leaned in close, his head right next to her ear as he inhaled her scent once more.

"As much as the thought of seeing your naked body arouses me, that wasn't what I was referring to." He smirked at the small shiver he felt pass through her body and into the spot where he was touching her.

"I want to take you to my special spot, a place I go to escape. I thought you might like it and I'm not ready to let you out of my site just yet." His voice had grown thick with desire, his warm breath tickling her skin and making her body break out in goose bumps.

Sara had to struggle to keep from moaning, her pulse speeding out of control. She couldn't suppress the shiver that ran through her body and straight to her center, making her thighs grow moist. The sound of her voice, the feel of his body so close to hers was enough to leaving her panting.

She turned her head to the side, the tips of their noses touching. They both angled their faces as if they were going to kiss, Nick closing in as Sara pulled away slightly, a grinsterstered on her face. A sudden boldness creped into her steeling nerves as she toyed with him, her eyes riveted to the lust she found in his eyes.

"Who says we still can't get naked?" She asked in perfect innocence, their lips only a fraction of a centimeter apart.

He could feel her breath on his lips, could taste the sweet hint of coffee on her breath. He moaned lightly, unable to keep from flexing his fingers on her skin.

She pulled away quickly, walking in front of him, as he stood there perfectly stunned by her bold words. He watched the swing of her hips as she got closer and closer towards the door. She was still grinning as she turned to walk backwards, her body facing his.

She teasingly pulled at the zipper on her jumper, as if she was about to strip r the then and there. As she pulled it down her waist she blew him a soft kiss, her back arching seductively. Nick swallowed visibly, the lump in his throat making it difficult for him to breath.

His skin was flush, his eyes dark as he watched her every move with anticipation. His hands fell in front of his crotch, trying to mask the evidence of his hardening shaft.

She gave him a shy look of pure seductiveness that Nick knew no one else would have been able to pull off as sexily as her. Her nimble hands pushed the cotton jumper off of her shoulders and down her arms, letting it fall to her waist as she exposed the delicate skin of her bare shoulders.

Nick still remained plastered to the ground, unable to breath, speak or walk. His eyes were glued to her every action, to every inch of skin that seemed so forbidden to him right them. He wanted to touch her, to make sweet love to her body until she was screaming his name.

It was the sound of her soft laugh that pulled his mind from the gutter, her arms now crossed over her chest, an expectant look on her face as she waited for him to snap to. He picked his jaw up off the ground, mentally wiping the drool from his chin as he gave her a disappointed look. He shook his head as she turned around, pushing through the doors and walking towards the locker rooms.

He jogged to catch up to her, laughing as he called out after her, "Tease!"

He could hear here her voice as she rounded the corner of the pale white hallway, her shoes echoing with each step. "Flirt!" She yelled back, smiling to her self.

He felt his heart swell dangerously, the muscle feeling like it was about to burst. He loved Sara Sidle and he couldn't wait another minute to tell her.
