Bosco's last thoughts were of complete chaos as hell opened up in the emergency room. Gunfire, screams and the sound of panic were ringing in his ears.

The last thought he had was that the pain felt just like a knife piercing through his skin.

He had driven his car around in circles for the last half an hour. He knew Faith was home because he could see the light on in her living room.

He hadn’t really spoken to her since Fred had left. Faith had taken some time off and had closed herself to everyone and everything.

She always had that special foresight to see when things weren’t right for him. He at times considered this a damn nuisance yet, it had saved his skin more than once.

He had shared parts of his life that he had never shared with any other woman. He trusted her with his life and that bonded them in a way noone would or could understand.

Fred must have seen all of this with the passing of time and must have gotten feed up with it all.

What a jackass he was, leaving a woman like her. There I go again saying the word woman.

Strange that he had never thought of Faith like that. She was always a partner, a friend, a buddy but lately things had changed.

For some strange reason after her recovery from her paradises, he had seen a new side to her. A more softer, feminine side.

Bosco you better stop thinking like this, it will only bring trouble, his brain kept telling him.

Finally he made up his mind and parked the car half way down the block. She’d always been there for him now it was his time to be there for her.

While going up he kept thinking what he was going to say to her but what the hell he’s knock on the door and hope for the best.

He knocked at least five times before she finally came to the door. “ Bosco what are you doing here?”.

“ Well I was in the neighborhood, who am I kidding I came to see how you were doing. I hate to see you like this.”.

“ Well Bosco what did you expect! My husband just picked up and left taking our kids with him. I knew things weren’t perfect but I didn’t see this coming.

Faith sat down on the sofa with a weary look in her eyes. Bosco immediately sat down beside her looking at her sadly.

“ Now Bosco don’t look at me that way I don’t need your pity!”.

“ I guess I was asking for all of this. I never had enough time. Fred always thought my job always took top priority in our lives but he was wrong.”

“ I always loved him and the children. Always having there wel in in my mind, with all the garbage I saw in the streets.”

“ I don’t have to tell you what goes on and besides it’s my problem and I’ll deal with it on my own.”

“ Faith, you don’t have to deal with this by yourself”., taking her hand in his Bosco looked her straight in the eyes.

“ Listen Faith you have always been there for me now I want to be there for you. Fred was a fool to have let you go. He couldn’t see the wonderful woman that you truly are....”

Faith blu und under his close inspection.

Bosco felt kind of awkward at this point because his eyes were seeing her in a different light.

He didn’t know if it was wrong or right but he didn’t want to feel any less than what he felt like at that moment.

Without even thinking about it he placed his hands on either side of her face. He never had noticed what beautiful eyes she had.

Faith tried to turn her head away but it was no use.

Bosco’s hands were firmly in place. Even though they were very strong at the moment they felt like a caress.

“ Bosco what are you doing?”.

“ Faith at this moment I really don’t want to think.... I just want to feel, besides were not doing anything wrong. He was the one that hurt you and broke your heart.”

Slowly Bosco trailed his thumbs across her lips Faith closed her eyes and whispered his name. That was all the answer he needed.
