Summary: "The memory burns bright and free./'When I touch you, do you feel me?'"

Notes: My poetic side tover ver for a change. <lol> The form I used is called a villanelle - its most notable features are the repetition of two rhyming lines in a particular pattern, and the use of only two rhymes...

The line "The memory burns bright and free" is a play on a line from a Five-Minute Challenge. ("The memory burns.") The other line - "When I touch you, do you feel me?" - is from the Season One episode 'Banks of the Lethe.'

Warnings: None

********************

The memory burns bright and free,

touched with shock and pain.

"When I touch you, do you feel me?"

Different moment now, just you and me,

and your touch on my skin like rain.

The memory burns bright and free...

The look on your face speaks eloquently...

So much to lose, so much to gain...

"When I touch you, do you feel me?"

Impulse-driven, I cannot see -

passion rules, pure and plain.

The memory burns bright and free.

I take the chance - I'll pay this fee -

I can't refuse and still stay sane.

"When I touch you, do you feel me?"

We come together, you inside me,

a blurring of pleasure and pain.

The memory burns bright and free.

"When I touch you, do you feel me?"
