“You’re in love!” Jordan said in a singsong voice, then laughed aloud.
“What makes you think that?” Nigel replied in surprise.
“I’ve seen the lovelorn expression on your face these past few days.”
“Well, even if you are right, Jordan, it’s none of your business.”
“Who is it? I bet it’s someone here at work, isn’t it?”
“Please, love, just drop it,” Nigel begged futilely.
“Let’s see… well, it wouldn’t be me, despite my obvious feminine charm… Lily and Garrett are pretty devoted to each other… Peter? No, he’s nice, but not too bright… I know! It’s Bug, isn’t it? You’ve got the hots for Bug!” Jordan exclaimed triumphantly. Nigel sighed in defeat.
“Yes, it’s Bug,” he finally admitted. “But I doubt he’s interested in me. As far as I know, his only interest has been in women.” Nigel went back to his work on the computer while Jordan stared at him thoughtfully. A few minutes later, she had a grin on her face.
“Why do I have the feeling that your current facial expression does not bode well for me?” Nigel asked, worried.
“Don’t worry, Nigel! I think I’ll be able to solve your dating troubles,” Jordan replied cheerfully as she left his office. Nigel sighed and slumped in his chair, fearing Jordan’s romantic plotting.
