Hyde woke up with a headache. He probably shouldn’t of drank so much the night befoHe hHe had to go to the Foto Hut later on. Oh, well, he’d just sleep it off there.

As he walked in the kitchen to get something to drink he saw a blue 1974 Delta pull up in the driveway. Hyde watched as a young teenager, maybe sixteen no older then seventeen years old got out of the car. She had beautiful, wavy, long, dark brown hair. In fact, her hair was so dark it was almost black. She was pretty slim, but not unhealthily so like some of those girls you see on TV or read about in the magazines. She had pale skin with a pair of beautiful greenish blue eyes. Hyde almost got lost in them. Hyde was brought back to reality when she knocked softly on the sliding glass door.

Hyde set down his empty glass and went to go unlock the door. “Can I help you?” he asked, trying to sound smooth.

“You must be Hyde.” The girl said with a smile.

“Yeah.” Hyde said confused. “Do I know you?”

The girl didn’t have time to answer because at that point Red and Kitty came into the kitchen and as soon as they saw the girl they broke into smiles.

“Jessica!” Red said and Hyde was surprised when he gave the girl a hug. Then she gave Kitty a hug. “Oh, I thought we were supposed to pick you up at the airport.”

“Oh, I decided to just drive here instead of waste money flying.” Jessica said.

“That’s good.” Red said. “I don’t trust those machines one bit.” It was then Red seemed to notice Hyde standing there. “Has this dumbass been giving you any trouble?”

“No, no trouble Uncle Red.” Jessica said. “He was just opening the door for me.”

“Well, you and your Aunt Kitty have a lot of catching up to do.” Red said. “So me and Steven’ll get your bags.”

“Thanks, Uncle Red.” Jessica said as she gave him her car keys.

Jessica and Kitty sat at the table and instantly started chatting away and Hyde followed Red outside. “I didn’t know we were having company.” Hyde told Red.

“That’s because no one told you.” Red replied gruffly. “Jessica’s having a hard time right now with her parents getting divorced and she’s going to be staying here until things cool down.”

“Oh, so she’s Marty’s daughter?” Hyde asked and Red nodded. “Doesn’t Marty live in LA?”

“Yep.” Red answered. “No stop talking and start taking these bags up to Eric’s room.”

“Wait, where’s Eric going to sleep?” Hyde asked.

“On the basement couch.” Red replied. “No hurry up with those bags before I have to put my foot . . .”

“Up my ass.” Hyde finished for him. “I know, I know.”
