Clark sat in thee loft of his barn staring out the window at the stars. He pondered on the beauty of the night sky and wondered if there was anything even close to its beauty. Then suddenly one sight did come to mind........Whitney. He thought about all the times he sat with Lana during Whitney's football practices and games. Clark deeply cared for that blue eyed football star and only Clark knew this.
Clark came home one day exceptionally happy. Clark walked right over to his parents who were sitting at the table in the kitchen and sat down and prepared to beg." Mom have i told you how beautiful you are lately because I swear you just get more beautiful with each passing day,"he said with a smile.
"Clark do you want something?" his mother retorted.
"No, why ever would you ask think i wanted something?" he looked at her nervously.
"You only compliment on my beauty when you want something, and i'm your mother and i can see that needy look in your eyes," she said happily.
"Ok Mom, Dad can You um sign this for me." He handed them a peice of paper and waited for them to say something.
"Clark I thought we went over this before when you were little. You can not join the football team,"his father answered roughly.
"But dad that was when i couldnt control my powers, but now i have complete control over them. Please Dad i promise to be extremely careful." Clark answered with big puppy dog eyes.
"Fine but if we see just one burst of speed or strenght that is greater than normal you will be pulled from the team," his mother answered.
"Thank you guys so much i promise i'll be super careful," Clark said as he ran off to his room. He lay down on his bed and dozed off to sleep thinking about how he and the object of his desires would soon be a little bit closer to being together.
