Tough Love

Here's a fic that I found that is not NC-17 but it is at least PG.

For some reason I can't find the beginning of the story but let me give you the basics. Maggie is Ellen's cousin and just moved to Wellsville. She is a mechanic and ends up showing Endless Mike up in auto class. Well here's part of a fanfic.

Maggie clutched her books as she fumbled with her keys. It was 6:00pm and play rehearsal had lasted longer than she had anticipated. Once she got the truck door open it was pushed shut. She instantly knew that this was a bad time for her beings, that the parking lot was deserted.
"I found it really amusing yet irritating when I found my car had slashed tires after school today." The menacing voice of Endless Mike growled from the side of her.
The books dropped from her arms as he gripped her shirt and shoved her against her vehicle.
"I don't mind the snide remarks and some of the pranks you pull but once you touch my car, YOU'VE CROSSED THE LINE!" he slammed her into the steel.
Maggie could feel the dent that that move had made. She instantly knocked his hands away and thrust him to the ground. They went at each other all fists both yearning to kill.
"Maggie!" two people's scream paused the death match.
Pete and Ellen stood there shocked at the blood feud that Mike and Maggie had developed between them. Mike got off of her and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
"Get in the truck." Maggie told Pete and Ellen as she got up.
"This isn't over little one," Endless Mike jabbed a finger in her face, "and the next time it'll be just you and me, no interruptions."
In answer Maggie pushed his arm out of the way.
"I mean it!" he hissed as he stormed off.
"OX!" she hollered after him.

PETE: She looked terrible although I can't say that Endless Mike looked any better. Whatever he dished out she returned it.

"Are you OK?" Ellen went to help her as she limped to her truck, "what possessed you to sabotage his car?"
"Believe me, El, I should've thought twice," Maggie winced as she leapt up into the cab.

PETE: Even though the next day Mike had done the same thing, plus some other things to her engine Maggie didn't retaliate. I guess she knew that Endless Mike was capable of messing her up worse than before. She may have been a match and a hand full but she knew when enough was enough.

"You know, Midget," Endless Mike appeared beside her as she undid the sabotage he had inflicted, "you're only going to make things worse if you don't know what you are doing."
"It's quite simple what you did, Ox, even I know what a firing order is."
There was a few seconds of silence from Mike.
"Very good, shorty, I'm impressed, looks like next time I'll have to do something that's not fixable."
The hood slammed down almost smashing his fingers.
"Look, Endless Mike," Maggie sighed as she reached into her pocket, "I'm really sorry about your mustang, Ok," she handed him $150, "let's just leave the vehicles out of it, I hate to admit it but I love your car and if we keep it up we'll make it so both of them are permanently out of commission."
Mike grasped the bills as well as her hand.
"You know, little one," he started applying pressure, "you've got a point and I agree that we should leave the car and truck out of it, but..."
Maggie cried out in pain as the pressure increased.
"We still have that fight to continue and I am looking forward to smashing your pretty little face into the gr." ."

"You're not going to fight him again are you?" Ellen asked her during lunch a week after they roughed each other up.
"I'm not afraid of him, El." Maggie brushed a stray hair behind her ear, "he has spent his school years making people's lives miserable."
Just then her head was yanked back as Endless Mike passed by. Maggie clenched her fists but didn't go after him.

PETE: In fact Mike went out of his way just to torment her. If he had the same classes she did but at different hours he now had them switched around.

Maggie sighed as she settled into her seat in study hall. She propped her chin in her hand. Suddenly a hand clamped down on her shoulder from behind.
"I notice you don't drive that Dodge of yours lately."
Maggie sharply turned around only to come face to face with Endless Mike.
"What the hell are you doing here, you're not in this class."
"I am now," he gave her a wide grin, "face it, Short stuff, you're my destiny."
"I think you should get a new hobby."
"So when are we going to settle things, huh?" he sat back in his seat.
"I don't have time for an ox like you." Maggie turned back around.
"Oh, you will," he growled in her ear, "I'll make time."

PETE: He lay off of her for a while after that but I couldn't help feel that he was up to something. Maggie started to relax but if you ask me that was Endless Mike's plan. It was Halloween night when he put it into effect.

END PART 1

PETE: Ah, all hallows eve a night of adolescent tricks and treats, where the younger generation dawn their disguises and run rampant. Ellen and I were planning on doing a haunted house this year. Maggie said she'd help but that she'd show up later. When I arrived at Ellen's I found Maggie just coming out the front door. She was breathtaking, her highlighted hair was in ringlets and pinned at the sides. She had on a cream white velvet medieval style gown.

"Hey you," she smiled at him as she shifted her load in her arms.
"Where are you going?"
"To the cemetery."
"What for?" Pete hiked an eyebrow.
"To pay respects and to protect it from vandals, catch you later Pete." She brushed past him.

"I told her that she shouldn't go out alone, that Endless Mike's probably hunting for her but she says she knows and that she'll protect herself."
Ellen exhaled noisily as she strung fake cobwebs among various areas of her living room.
"Shouldn't we go in case something happens to her?" Pete insisted.
Ellen shook her head.
"She made me promise."

Maggie sat cross-legged in front of the town's old mausoleum. Two white candles were spaced in front of her and incense was burning between them. She didn't stir when she heard the sound of approaching footsteps. Figuring it was just the grounds keeper. Only when she felt hatred wash over her did she open her eyes. Endless Mike stood before her, arms crossed.
She was roughly grabbed by the bodice of her dress and jerked up then slammed against the mausoleum door. The material was easily torn from the abuse exposing the middle of her chest. The wind was knocked out of her, putting her in a daze.
"Well, well, after two months of waiting I finally caught you alone and now," he threw her down the steps, she put her hands out to stop her and was now on her hands and knees gasping for air.
"To bad that pretty dress is going to get ruined."
She started to stand but Endless Mike grabbed her by the shoulders and pushed her on her back then straddled her waist with his knees. It was at that point Maggie snapped the next thing she knew was that she had Endless Mike pinned and he was unconscious.

PETE: I was still at Ellen's when Maggie returned, her hair in disarray and her dress torn down the front. Her eyes were wide in fear and tears streaked her cheeks. She shook her head when we started to get up then headed to her room. Ellen and I didn't think Endless Mike would ever intend to violate her and it turned out that never crossed his mind but at the moment when he had her pinned beneath him plus the rip in her dress sent her reeling into a flashback and she lost it. Maybe now Endless Mike would leave her alone but I was wrong on so many levels.

"Maggie," he found her at lunch sitting alone with her nose in a Stephen King novel, "look, about Halloween, I never thought about raping you, I just wanted to rough you up."
"I don't want to talk about it," she said keeping her concentration on the book as she turned the page.

PETE: Endless Mike was grateful for the fact that Maggie kept what happened to herself instead of telling the whole school she knocked him senseless. And it was at that point he noticed something about her. He was beginning to add her up, add him and he. S. She was a socket-head and for a girl she was extremely good. And though he never intentionally asked to be her partner. They always ended up that way. Finally the big one, she had stood up to him, gave him a challenge unlike the others he had preyed on, add that to the fact she was of the opposite sex and she was cute. Bingo! He had a crush.

Maggie snarled as she closed her book.
"What do you want Mike?" she didn't look at him.

PETE: Endless Mike would not admit to having a crush on her not in this scenario but he would eventually. I didn't think Mike was Maggie's type but I was wrong again.

"You may have won the battle Midget, but you won't win the war."
He had knocked himself out of the daze and turned menacing once again. Maggie stood up in rage.
"Last weekend wasn't enough settling for you, I knocked your punk ass out, Ox!"
"That was a fluke," he stammered.
Maggie put her book to his chest and pushed him back.
"You put me in a position I never wanted to be in again, you should feel lucky I didn't kill you out of self defense."
"I'll just have to remember not to do that next time." He gently brought the book away from his body.
"No, next time will be settled my way." She hissed as she clutched the book to her and walked off.

PETE: It was in December that "her way" arrived on a trailer. 7 feet of black steel, 600 horses and chrome. The T-078. Maggie's method of settlement with Endless Mike.

"Saturday," Maggie stood next to Endless Mike as they troubleshot an engine, "noon, Hell Highway, you, me, the T-078 and your mustang."
"Is that what you call your vehicle?" he smirked.
"You could say that." She smiled wryly.
"What are the terms?"
"If I win that means you leave me alone that we settled things and if you win..." she paused, "whatever you want, though don't waste your time thinking about it."
PETE: Saturday finally arrived. At 11:55 Maggie along with me, Teddy, Ellen and Pete, stood along the sides of the old abandoned highway. We had covered the T-078 with a car cover. Maggie said it would build suspense. At 12:00 on the dot the infamous gold mustang pulled up alongside the covered weapon and Endless Mike approached Maggie.

"That doesn't look like your truck."
For a slight second Endless Mike seemed intimidated that maybe his precious car was going to lose to whatever was under the sheet.
Maggie motioned for us to uncover it.
"My truck no, my GTO yes," she went over and popped the hood, "the T-078 will crush your mustang in 2 seconds flat."
Endless Mike was dumbfounded; as he looked at her then her car then back at her as she stood in front of the GTO. Her hair whipped around her face, her short figure was dressed in a black dress. Endless Mike stepped up to her, pinning her between the grill and himself. A wicked smile spread across his face.
"Let's roll," the words played on his lips.
"Did you ever give a thought to what your terms were?" she stepped up to him.
"Yeah I did," he leaned into her, his chest crushing against hers, his face so close that their noses were touching," but you have nothing to worry about, remember?"

PETE: Endless Mike knew something that would put the race in his favor. It was at that precise moment an attraction flared up between them like a flare. But until the race decided they both refused to succumb to their emotions.

"Who do you think will win?" Ellen looked up at Pete.
"I don't think it matters anymore, whoever wins they'll get what they want."

PETE: Maggie would've won if Mike didn't have one thing on his that she didn't. NOS. He faked her out; at the end he put his into hyper drive and left her in the dust. Once they came to a halt, Maggie sat fuming as Mike got out of his mustang and walked over to her window.

"Looks as though you maybe should've looked under my hood, saved yourself from humiliation," he peered into her car once she had rolled down the window.
"What do you want?" she sighed.
He squatted down so his eyes were level with hers.
"You know what I want, you want it as well, I saw it in your eyes before the race."
"Forget it," she looked at him with defiance, "I will not go as far as that."
Mike stood up and jerked the door open then pulled her out of the GTO.
"Relax," he gripped her shoulders as she struggled against him, "I don't want nothing I can't do here."
He bent down and put his mouth on hers.
