Chapter 10

Author's Note: A small description of a sexual encounter that isn't wanted, but again, nothing en detail . . .

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The former Rangers watched the screen as a picture, somewhat static-filled, slowly appeared, and a relatively tall male with long, waist-length white hair, brilliant silver eyes, and wearing a white and gold midi-shirt and a loincloth that looked like Joseph’s from the musical, stood before what was obviously a camera of some sort, and smiled, somewhat soberly, out at the ‘audience’.

“People of Ardaxia!” He announced, sounding like every announcer everywhere, while the camera panned the massive assembly hall that was filled with several varying degrees of the male himself, but oddly enough, no females.
Directly in the front of the room, on a high platform, was a large, beautifully embossed and filigreed metal throne with a very sumptuous seat, while on a smaller platform just below it, was a low dais, covered with a white cloth.

“Your Ruling Division bids you welcome on this most joyous occasion! The marriage of your Prince to his Beloved!”

The room all but exploded into applause and shouts of what were assumed to be cheers of adulation and suddenly a loud burst of very pompous music sounded. A woman, even taller than the announcer, and about as muscular as one could get without being called ‘ugly’ appeared in front of the throne. Her white/blonde hair was up in an elaborate headdress that reminded the Rangers of an Incan headdress, and it literally cascaded around her shoulders, which were bare. Her skin was pale, and her eyes were an amber shade of almost gold, while her dress was nothing more than a small, thin shift trimmed in gold that exactly matched the color of her eyes, and that did little, especially when it was backlit, to hide her obvious attributes. She held a large, golden, obviously very heavy staff/scepter in her hand, and one by one, she pierced every male in the room with her haughty, disdainful gaze, and wordlessly let each and every one of them know she was thoroughly disgusted with each and every one of them, and would rather be somewhere else.

“Yi,” Kimberly grimaced. “There’s someone I wouldn’t want to mess with.”

“I’m with you on that one,” Zack said, and shuddered.

“Anyone want to hazard a guess as to why she’s the only woman in the room?” Adam frowned.

“Maybe it’s a matriarchal society,” Aisha suggested. “There were several tribes in Africa that were led by women, although, even they realized that a mixing of the sexes at some point was necessary.”

“I don’t even think that woman wants to admit there is another sex,” Tommy shook his head, and Jason nodded.
“I’m assuming she’s their Queen, and if it’s a wedding of the prince, then I’m assuming she’s only there to witness.”

“Or to make it happen,” Rocky suggested, and the others shrugged as the woman banged her staff/scepter as hard as possible on the floor, and the loud bang reverberated throughout the assembly hall.

“All Hail Queen Raenita!” the men chanted in perfect unison, and as one, bowed as low as they could possibly get to the floor without actually laying down on it, and they stayed that way a very long time, none of them moving so much as a twitch of a muscle, until the woman banged the floor again, and all the men stood.
Slowly, regally, the woman sat, and banged her staff once more on the floor and another loud musical sound blasted through the room.

“Welcome Prince Aerneko, and his Beloved Courtesan!” Another loud blast of music played, and two very large, double doors swung silently inward, and a man who looked much like the others though he had silver white hair that matched the Queen’s exactly, down to his waist. The camera focused on his face, which would have been extremely handsome, but for the arrogant, haughty expression of disdain that mirrored his mother’s. He wore a small robe like hers, though his trim was done all in silver.

He held up the hand of a man, who, though tall in his own right, was almost dwarfed by the man beside him. The man stood straight beside the Prince, and kept his eyes level. A small smile was on his face, and to the former Rangers, the smile seemed a little sad, while his blond hair curled about his head and fell in waves to his shoulders. Like the prince, he wore only a simple white shift, though his bore no decoration at all, and was barely kept closed by a large brooch at his waist, while two large, gold bracelets decorated his upper arms and ankles.

Kimberly gasped and covered her mouth with her hand, as Tommy tightened his grip on her arm. Adam’s mouth dropped open, and Aisha stared at the screen. Zack sighed and shook his head, even as Rocky punched his fist into one of the consoles, and Jason clenched his hands into tight fists, having a little more control over himself, though not much.

“Someone want to tell me how Billy manages to get into these things?” Zack asked, but no one answered as they watched the two men slowly walk up to the steps of the platform. They stopped, and the Queen slammed her staff once more against the floor.

“My son, Prince Aerneko, rescued this Human from our enemies, The Aquitians! He took the Human, whom the Aquitians had started to make one of their own . . .” she stopped, lifted her staff, and pushed Billy’s head to the side, and the camera focused on Billy’s neck, where a set of gills were, and then repeated it with the other side, and the former Rangers stared, and Adam cleared his throat.

“Well,” he said. “It actually makes sense. If you live on a planet that’s mostly water, and it’s advanced enough to have no pollution and no sickness, well, it really shouldn’t be that hard to make a human, who is very adaptable to survival in almost every element, into a water breather as well as an air breather.”

“One thing Billy never was, was an air breather,” Kimberly tried to lighten the mood, but it didn’t work, and she fell silent.

“Yeah, but knowing Billy as we do, who wants to make it a sure bet that it wasn’t done against his will?” Zack asked.

“Everything she’s said so far is a lie,” Jason said, and everyone fell silent as the Queen continued, and he smiled shyly at her as she allowed him to straighten his head.

“This boy was given the choice of returning to his Home planet of Earth, or staying and marrying, and becoming one of us. I am pleased to say he chose the course of love, and is to become one with my son!” No one but the watchers saw Billy’s head drop a fraction of an inch, or his gills move as he swallowed what seemed to be a rather large something in his throat, though he made no other outward sign of his discomfort with her statement.
“Come forth to the Marriage Couch, and make your Love Union Binding in the eyes of all your adopted People!”

The prince led Billy to the dais, and Billy lay down on the couch and his eyes looked directly into the Prince’s as the Prince straddled Billy and the couch.
