Chapter Eight

Pretty Shiny
Flora Winters

I do not own anything from Buffy or Smallville.

Summary: Glory will do anything to get her hands on a shiny octagonal key. This key will allow her to open a portal so she can use Dawn's blood once more to try and get home. A certain alien just so happens to possess the item she is after. Can this God of the cornpatch stand in the way of an almighty pissed off Hellbitch while he falls madly in love with the man she is trapped in?

This is not a Clarkie the Vampire Slaying Alien or anything like that. This is a Buffy/Smallville crossover.

Chapter Eight

Martha took a step back not liking her personal space to be intruded upon and that meant that her entire damned house was her personal space. She shook her head to keep from laughing at her preposterous hillbilly accent, “I’m afraid I don’t know a Tater Tot.”

“Don’t play games with God,” Glory snapped, “It just pisses me off.”

Martha just smiled pleasantly now that her headache finally went away, “I don’t know a Tater Tot.”

Glory flexed her index finger menacingly at her, “Tell me where Cletis is, now!”

“I’m afraid I don’t know who that is either, “Martha said once more with honesty.

Suddenly Glory had a picture in her hand and pointed right at Clark putting her finger right through his face, “Oh shoot,” Martha said, “You really shouldn’t have done that dear. Now I can’t tell you who I was posing with.”

Glory grinned and cocked her head to the side, “Either you tell me where your son is or I stick my finger through your face.”

“Oh, my son,” Martha said, “Well, why didn’t you just say so? He isn’t home.”

Glory started twirling her index finger around in dramatic circles stepping towards Martha, “Well,” she asked, “Where is he?”

Martha made the effort to put on a thoughtful face and then just shrugged her shoulders, “Not a clue.”

“I bet he’s with Ben,” Glory snapped to herself.

“Ben,” Martha asked.

“None of your fucking business mortal,” she yelled and then simply said, “I guess you can make some tea while we wait for Goober to get himself home.”

Martha had to ask, “Do I know him or her?”

“Silence,” Glory snapped, “Sit down!”

“But you wanted tea,” she told her.

“I said sit,” Glory screamed.

“Fine,” Martha pouted, “You’re not a nice God. You know that?”

“Does it look like I care,” Glory asked, “Your opinion weighs less than dust.”

“How much dust,” Martha asked.

Glory hissed and Martha picked up a magazine. Where the hell was Clark? Where the hell was Jonathan?

The kitchen door opened and Jonathan yelled, “Martha!”

Glory shushed Martha with a look and imitated her voice, “In the living room dear.”

Jonathan walked in to see a blonde in a skimpy green dress with heels, “Who the hell are you?”

“Exactly,” Glory snapped waving her hands around, “Take a seat Tater Salad. I’m waiting for Cletis to get home.”

“She means Clark,” Martha said.

“If you so much as touch him,” Jonathan warned.

“You’ll what,” Glory hissed, “Chase me down and run me over with a tractor?”

“That’ll work,” Jonathan said getting a small applaud from Martha.

“Alright,” Glory said getting pissed at the little meat sacks for not fearing Her Most Wondrous One, “The next person that speaks, well, lets just say, Goober will have to dig a grave.”

Martha looked at Jonathan and both decided to be quite, for now. After all, they didn’t know how far her sanity went before she decided to try and hurt them. Jonathan nodded and sat down next to Martha.

“Good pumpkin,” Glory cooed, “Come home farmboy for you’re the next victim of the Great and Beautiful Glorificus.”

Martha rolled her eyes and squeezed Jonathan’s hand and he did the same. Glory walked over and plopped herself down in the chair across from them crossing her long golden legs, “Is the weather always like this?”

Lex watched the body of his father and the two other victims being taken from the mansion. He even had his people remove the couch and the desk. He never wanted to lay eyes on them again.

Sheriff Adams just shook her head, “I am so sorry for your loss Mr. Luthor.”

Lex still just looked out his window, “I have nothing else to say.”

“Are you sure that’s everything Mr. Luthor,” she asked again knowing that he must still be in shock.

“I told you,” he snapped whirling around in anger, “Leave me!”

She narrowed her eyes, “I’m sorry Mr. Luthor,” and walked out his office leaving him in shadows.

He just stood there looking at the fire burning in his fireplace and remembered that bitch had touched his crystal scotch holder. He hurled it into the fire causing the flames to roar as it consumed the liquor greedily.

Anger for revenge coursed through his veins but he could not fight a God. She was too strong, too fast, too powerful, too everything. He wanted to curl up in a ball and never leave his castle again. She had scared the hell out of him.

He sat down in his chair as he thought about what was said. She had been concerned with what happened to Ben that night in the lab, the black meteor rock, and the octagonal key.

Suddenly he remembered that Lana had told him that his father had said that her vessel must be destroyed. The spaceship was obviously not her vessel. The light from the black meteor rock hit Ben and more than likely has an evil counterpart out there somewhere.

He stood up as the light bulb exploded over his head. She was concerned for Ben. Ben is her vessel. She came out of him when the meteor rock exploded. All he had to do was kill Ben and she would die. He laughed out loud and ran over to his cabinet to pull out his gun.

Ben was probably innocent in all of this, being a vessel to contain such power. He would make sure the shot was an instant death where there would be no pain for him. He ran from his office to his garage. Ben would more than likely be at Clarks. That made Lex stop cold in his tracks. How would Clark handle this? Would Clark go crazy and kill him if he killed Ben?

Fuck!

Chloe and Lana had the magical mandrake bomb completed. Lana had laughed over the name Chloe gave it, but they did not have the time to bitch over the name. This was meant to temporarily knock the bitch on her lop-sided ass.

“Are we ready,” Chloe asked.

Lana blew out the candles, “I think so.”

“You think so,” she asked.

“Yes,” Lana screamed, “We’re ready!”

“Good,” Chloe yelled as she grabbed her keys, “Let’s go!”

“Wait,” Lana cried, “Did you get the earplugs?”

“Yes,” Chloe said, “What do you think I’m stupid or something?”

“Do you really want me to answer that,” Lana asked.

“What the hell is that suppose to mean,” Chloe asked her getting pissed again.

“Well, if you’re too dumb to figure it out,” Lana cooed batting her eyelashes at her.

“Shut up,” Chloe growled as she made her way down the stairs only for Lana to ask, “Where’s Mrs. Kent?”

Chloe looked around and shouted, “Liz! Where’s Mrs. Kent?”

“I dunno,” she yelled from the counter, “She didn’t call in and I didn’t get an answer at her place!”

“Shit,” Lana hissed.

“Hurry,” Chloe said grabbing her wrist as they ran out the doors to the car.

Ten minutes later the two of them pulled into the Kent driveway to see Lex getting out of his car. Chloe jumped out and hissed, “Lex!”

He turned around, “I need to see Clark. It’s about Ben.”

“Shut up,” Lana whispered.

“Excuse me,” he asked not appreciating being told what to do.

“She’s here,” Chloe whispered.

“And she has very good hearing,” a silky voice said and all three spun around to see Glory on the front steps of the house.

She smiled and walked down them in break your neck heels, “I see the meddling kids have finally arrived,” she said looking around, “Where’s the dog?”

“I better be Thelma damn it,” Chloe hissed.

“Excuse me,” Lana said looking at her with angry eyes, “I’m so not Daphne.”

Lex pulled out his gun and fired at her while the two witches squabbled. The bullets bounced off her golden skin as she looked at him with a super royal pissed off look.

“Lex can’t be Fred Lana,” Chloe argued over the gunfire while they ducked behind Lex’s car, “Fred has hair.”

“Well, he isn’t Shaggy,” Lana countered, “Now is he?”

“Is Clark the dog,” Chloe asked, “He does have the cute puppy eyes.”

Lex fired his last shot at the blonde God and took a step back, “Are you two finished?”

Glory laughed, “Now I know you just didn’t shoot at me.”

“You’re right,” Lex said backing up to the car, “You were just seeing and hearing things.”

Lana snorted, “Clark, a dog,” she asked and then cocked a brow, “When he gets hot he tends to pant like one now that you mention it.”

“He does like having his head scratched,” Chloe said smiling trying to remember the shit they were in.

“Which one,” Lana asked looking at “her” girlfriend.

Chloe didn’t get to answer because Glory tapped her on the head and she hit the ground out cold. Lana’s eyes widened as she backed up into Lex.

“What the fuck is wrong with you,” Lex asked.

“Repercussion of the spells we did,” Lana said, “It will make the two of us break out into the most random arguments no matter what the situation.”

“Silence,” Glory shouted stomping her heel barely missing Chloe’s skull, “Pick up Loquacious here and get in the house!”

Lana suddenly remembered her spell and then realized she could not use it now because it would kill all of them and leave Glory to kill everything else. Lana took Chloe’s hands and Lex got her feet as they carried her through the yard.

Glory followed, “Now I remember you,” she said looking at Lana, “You’re that bitch from the field.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Lana said under the spells influence, “I’ve never been in a field in my life.”

“Liar,” Glory said narrowing her eyes, “I hate liars.”

“Such a strong word,” Lana said.

“Shut up,” Glory snapped, “Before I snap you in two for Cletis to sob over.”

“Okay,” Lana said as she helped Lex lift Chloe up the steps, “Here’s my mouth shutting, right now, I’m shutting up.”

Glory rubbed her temple as she followed them into the house. They sat Chloe down in the living room where they saw Jonathan and Martha tied and gagged on the sofa. Suddenly Lex and Lana found themselves the same way. Glory was smiling at them, “Farmer John and his little woman wouldn’t shut up either.”

Lana muffled through her gag to argue only for Glory to pull on her hair making her scream, “Be a good little witch and I’ll pull a Rapunzel and rip all your hair out instead of cutting it.”

Martha just rolled her eyes and Glory heard it, “Did you just roll your eyes again?”

Martha shook her head and Lana moaned for Glory to release her. She got right down in Lana’s face, “Do you know where Cletis is?”

She shook her head which made Glory Snarl when one of her minions walked in making Lana scream through her gag and Lex to almost throw up. Glory looked over at he little scab, “What?”

“Forgive me Mighty One for interrupting your fun,’ he said bowing, “But the cave wall will not open for us. None of you spells are working.”

Glory stomped her foot and the house shook, “What?”

He went to his knees, “Forgive me.”

“You,” she said pointing right at Lex, “Tell me how to open that wall.”

Lex just looked at her and she smiled while ripping his gag off, “Well?”

“I don’t know how,” Lex said, “None of us do.”

“Wrong,” she bellowed turning to the Kent’s, “You raised the corncob so you know everything about him,” she hissed getting even more angry, “Tell me now or I shall leave him all alone in this world.”

Martha shrugged and Jonathan was snoring because he had fallen asleep. Glory slowly cocked her head to the side looking at the sleeping man and pointed and asked in a voice that was shaking with suppressed rage, “Is he, sleeping?”

“Looks like it,” Lex seethed at her, “Oh Boring One.”

Glory laughed and spun around slapping him across the room to hit the wall. Martha got to her feet and Glory warned, “Sit down!”

Martha glared at her and Glory smiled darkly, “Don’t make me tell you again.”

Martha took a seat and Glory looked over at Lex to see that her blow had not killed him, pity.

Lex moaned and moved to sit up against the wall only for his head to spin and pass out into darkness. Glory glared, “Well, crap, I knocked him out.”

“Yes, Great One,” her minion said and then asked, “About the wall?”

“Get back to it,” she snapped and he was gone.

Suddenly Glory put a finger to her mouth and shushed everyone instantly, “Make a sound and you’ll see what a real squash looks like.”

The kitchen door snapped and Clark laughed, “I don’t think mom and dad will care that you’re here.”

“I don’t want to be any trouble,” Ben said and then laughed, “Is that honey?”

“Yes,” Clark said and then asked, “Want some?”

“If it’s all over you,” Ben said and Glory snickered from her hiding place.

Clark smiled not even blushing around him anymore, “Don’t let my parents here you.”

Ben made a face, “You don’t think they heard me do you?”

“If they did,” Clark said hiding the honey where he could get it later, “They would be in here faster than a Kansas twister to give us the “dreaded” talk.”

Ben snorted and then looked around, “It’s really quite.”

“You’re right,” Clark said and then yelled, “Mom, Dad!”

Glory smiled from the top of the stairs, “In the living room dear.”

“Crap,” Clark whispered, “I think they heard us.”

Ben pales and Clark pulled him after him into the living room to freeze at the sight. Everyone was tied up and gagged. Chloe and Lex were unconscious or dead in the floor.

“Mom,” Clark shouted.

“Freeze,” Glory said from behind him.

Clark turned around to see that he was holding Ben by the back of the neck. Clark stepped forward and Glory said, “I’m not hurting him,” and then narrowed her eyes, “But I will.”

Ben could feel her slender fingers just itching to snap his neck. She was barely touching him and he knew she could kill him in an instant. He meant nothing to her now.

“What do you want,” Clark asked.

“What do you think,” she asked lightly caressing Ben’s chest with her other hand, “The key.”

“I don’t have it,” he said in a whisper.

Ben hissed in pain as her nail cut into his cheek, “Tell me,” she sang.

“Don’t do it,” Ben cried for her to knock him to the ground with her heel on his skull, “Tell me now or I’ll stomp his head into mush.”

Clark suddenly rushed at her and the two of them broke through the banister to roll across the ground. Glory kneed him in the stomach and sent him flying through the closet door. He hit the ground and everything inside crashed down on top of him.

She stood up and walked over to him as he stood and then fell to the floor in pain. He looked over to see that the lead box with the green kryptonite had broken and was now lying in the floor glowing.

“Tell me where the fuck that key is,” Glory yelled as Martha saw the rock. She looked over at Jonathan who shook his head.

Glory kicked him across the floor snarling in rage as he groaned in pain, “Tell me now you stupid fool!”

She reached down and pulled Clark up by his hair hissing in his face, “Tell me, or I’ll kill them all right here and now.”

Clark looked past her at Ben who was crawling towards Lana to untie her.

“Move another inch Benny Boo and I’ll kill Clark,” she said making Ben freeze in place and she eyed Clark as if something interesting had caught her attention, “For some odd reason you’re bleeding now.”

Ben gasped and Martha knew she was telling the truth. As long as that meteor rock glowed he would be weakened and she did not have enough time to remove the spell on him.

Ben just looked at Clark and shook his head, “You saw me,” he said, “I can’t loose you now.”

Clark smiled weakly and Glory shook him by his hair making him cry out in pain, “Tell me you little bitch!”

“Hey,” Martha yelled.

Glory dropped Clark with a thump and spun around to see her only to be bitch slapped across the room through another wall. Martha let out a deep breath. She had wanted to do that ever since she first saw Glory at the Talon. She bent down and picked up the meteor rock hurling it out the window for Clark to get to his feet, “Mom?”

Martha hugged him tight and he could feel her strength. She quickly let him go and walked past him to see Glory crawl out of the hole she had made to look up at Martha, “You deceiving little bitch!”

“Now, now,” Martha said shaking a finger at her disdainfully, “What did mommy say about calling her names to her face?”
