Dean's True Love Chap 9/9

Dean's True Love ch.9

Dean ran into the motel room, flushed and gasping for breath, he was scared the vision of his teenage love would disappear
without him getting a chance to speak to her. "Amber?" He called out as he walked over to where the ghost stood, wait stood? Like something that was alive? Not floating or opaque or anything? She turned to face him, looking exactly how he remembered her. Her long red hair in thick waves over her back, cat-like green eyes and a smirk on her face. She was wearing his old Motley Crue t-shirt and tight black jeans. Nothing had changed, well except for the fact that some of her before mentioned hair was floating on a non existant breeze, just like Mara's had a few times when she used her powers.

"Dean." She smiled fully as she watched him approach slowly.

"I...I haven't seen you in so long..you look exactly the same...I can't, I can't believe you are dead." He looked so broken when he said it that it nearly broke Sam's heart, as he was watching through the window. He wanted to go inside the room but he was
worried his presence would upset her, whatever she was and she would leave.

Amber brushed a few floating pieces of hair away from her face with her hands and shook her head, the smirk back on her lips. "I'm not dead yet Bunny, I'm very much alive." Dean winced at an old nickname for the second time tonight and Sam held back a laugh and mumbled bunny to himself. Then the words actually got through their brains and they both stared at her in shock as she continued to stare lovingly down at Mara sleeping in the motel bed. "She's so beautiful..can you believe it Dean? That you and I
created something so perfect." She whispered the words as she turned slowly towards him.

Dean nodded still in a bit stunned from what she said. "Yeah Mara is the most important thing in my life, but can we get back to the you not being dead part again?" Amber sighed and looked back at the little girl.

"I won't get to see her grow, I cherish this moment." She wiped at the tears in her eyes and then met Dean's confused stare. Amber smiled weakly and nodded at him. "Right you don't remember what was happening do you?" Dean gave an exasperated look and shook his head. Spirit or not she certainly took the long way around when it came to explaining like spirits did. She continued on."We're in a vision Dean, a spell technically..that I created. You and I wanted to see what our life would be like if we tried to be together. This is the result of the spell. Didn't quite work out the way we had wanted. Your father drags you away, you tried to runaway a couple of times to come back to me, but never got very far cause you really didn't want to leave Sammy. I die when Mara is six months old...just like your mother did. You become the perfect hunter like your father wanted. There is very little that would have taken you from that path Dean." Dean swallowed thickly, ok a spell? Man he needed to be on drugs or drink more for his life to make sense. At the window Sam was very shocked to learn that Dean tried to run away a few times, he never knew. The reason he stayed...that he understood. "A couple of things I didn't expect though. I never thought I was going to die so young and I had no idea that Sammy was your true love."

Dean felt his face grow red from her saying those words about Sam outloud. Unknown to Dean, Sam was blushing just as much. "I don't..Sam? No..pssh!" He sputtered and shook his head before running his hand through his hair. Amber smiled at his reaction and turned back to Mara.

"It's alright Dean, I'm glad the two of you are truly happy. Don't deny yourself or throw away something that amazing..it's rare. Just promise me that you and Sam will raise Mara, teach her how to hunt, how to fight. Raise her to be a Winchester." Dean shook his head and started to speak.

"No, I don't want that for her." Amber spun around her hair whipping faster on the unknown breeze, her eyes full of green fire.

"You have to Dean! It will be a Winchester that destroys that demon! Not your father, not you, not Sammy..but Mara. She is the only one that can. With the abilities she posses ,abilities that will continue to grow..she will defeat it. But only if she is raised to be a true Winchester, a true hunter. The demon will know this, not right away but soon, maybe a few years after she comes to you, I'm not clear on that part, but your family has to protect her Dean. This thing cannot be allowed to destroy anymore lives!" She closed her eyes and her hair lay down flat. "Promise me." She whispered opening her eyes to reveal that they were normal again.

Dean nodded slowly as he took all of this in. He looked at Mara and then into Amber's eyes. How could he say no, this was his family. "I promise." Sam outside, echoed Dean's words, tears sliding down his cheeks. This girl knew she was going to die and
wasn't scared. She knew what would happen if she had Dean's child and she was still willing to give up her life to hopefully save other families. Sam always knew he was right when he thought she was Dean's coolest girlfriend. It wasn't a thought that truly fit the
moment but it made him smile a little and that helped.

Amber smiled at Dean and nodded. "I know you will keep your promise..both of you." She moved towards Mara and kissed her forehead softly, whispering whatever words a mother would to their only child, that they would never see grow up. Amber then
walked to the open window and smirked slightly. "Little Sammy, I can't believe you grew into such an amazing man. Take care of him ok? He's terrible at taking care of himself." She laughed softly as Sam nodded in agreement. She then walked over to Dean and smiled at him. "Were going to come out of the spell now, you won't remember any of this until this very night in the future when you
fall asleep and dream it, and trust me you will know it was real. I love you Dean, always." She whispered and leaned in and kissed Dean softly. Suddenly his world was full of vanilla and spice and then it tilted quite nastily.

When Dean woke up he was staring up at the ceiling in Amber's bedroom. He rolled over and gave her the Winchester grin, guaranteed to make any grumpy girlfriend melt when they saw it. "You look so beautiful." He murmured as she smiled and shook her head. He figured she was probably annoyed at him for falling asleep on her, but he had an excuse. He had been up half the night with his dad chasing a werewolf. He enjoyed watching her as she sat at the end of the bed, putting crystals in a bag. "Hey darlin' I'm sorry I fell asleep, don't be mad at me." He pouted slightly at her. Amber lifted her head and smiled at him, doing her best to hide her tears, she still knew what was to come, she knew the day she was going to die.

"Yeah but it's ok Dean, I will forgive you." She whispered as she rubbed her hand slowly over her stomach. She couldn't feel it, but she knew Mara's life had started and in around two decades, give or take...the demon won't be around to hurt anyone anymore.
