Chapter 9
Greg woke up to someone bouncing on the bed and tackling him. He stared up into Jeri's beautiful sapphire eyes. He couldn't help but grin at her as she cuddled close to him, yawning and babbling about her plans for while he was at work. Every time he would drift back into sleep she'd punch him in the shoulder lightly, making him jump. Soon however she tired of this and hopped up, leaving his chest cold where her arms had been.
“Oh by the way, they called. You have a week off,” Jeri said, hanging up his wall phone.
Smiling he took her into his arms and smiled as she cuddled into his embrace, yawning yet again.
“I stayed up watching you sleep a few hours ago,” she said looking out the window absently, the sun coming down, shooting golden and crimson rays as it did so.
“Hey how bout we go clubbing,” she asked, her face brightening.
Greg smiled and told her he would think about it, after he got a shower. He also reminded her that they had to go pick up some of her clothes if she wanted to stay here a while. She just nodded and walked into the living room to watch TV. As he stripped off his clothes, he turned the water on in his shower to get it adjusted right. Smiling to himself he looked in the mirror, wondering why she liked him. Shrugging his shoulders, he climbed into the steamy shower, smiling at the heat hitting his skin. He quickly lathered up a washcloth and scrubbed down, washing the grime off of him. He grabbed his shampoo and squirted an ample amount into his left palm, rubbing his hands through his hair and washing his blonde and brown hair. Slowly he rinsed himself off and jumped out onto the bathroom rug smiling as he toweled off, humming to himself. He cursed himself, realizing he didn't bring clothes in. Sighing, he opened the door, trying to sneak to his bedroom and froze in terror when he heard Jeri's cat calls. Blushing he ran into the bedroom and slammed the door. Grumbling to himself, he started trying to pick out clothes. Lately, he had been more conservative, but for some reason, he wanted to break out his colorful clothes again. Smiling he grabbed a bright blue tie-dye looking t shirt and a pair of black jeans and, a pair of red boxers, slipping them on quickly. Stretching he noticed the stereo was blaring so he got up and snuck out looking for Jeri. Sneaking into the kitchen he saw her dancing around as she fixed pancakes, eggs, bacon and ceral. He smiled as he watched her, his eyes following her moves, his eyes slowly straying to her round ass as she swayed to the rhythm.
“Like what you see,” she asked, looking over her shoulder, catching him starring.
Blushing Greg just nodded and strode over to her hugging her from behind, kissing her neck. Hearing her moan shocked him as he massaged her hips. Sadly, she broke away laughing.
“Your going to make me burn breakfast,” she chastised.
Grumbling he plopped down onto a chair at his table, muttering that it wasn't fair. He watched her continue to make their breakfast, smiling to himself, thinking how lucky he was to have a second chance with her. Suddenly she sat his plate and bowl in front of him, getting hers and sitting across from him with her, with orange juice.
“Didn't know what you wanted to drink so i fixed some coffee, it's in the pot love,” she told him cheerily.
Nodding he got up,thanking her with a light kiss on the lips, walking over and getting a cup, pouring his coffee in and walking back to the table, sitting down quickly. Both of em ate relatively quickly, chattering happily, like they never had an argument in their lives. Jeri finished first and jumped up and ran into the bedroom slamming the door humming, before Greg could say anything. He sat there confused, until she came out 10 minutes later wearing a pair of his jeans and a shirt of his, smiling.
“I'll just wear your clothes till we get mine,” she explained.
Looking at her he noticed his clothes fit certain areas rather tightly on her body and he had to apriciate that. He could feel his cheeks growing hot as he smiled at her.
“Let's take a walk, Jeri,” he timidly said, not knowing if she would like that very much.
“YAY Let's get going,” she shouted jumping up and down happily.
She walked outside and waited on Greg as he grabbed his keys. Pausing a moment, he then grabbed his gun. He felt better if he was able to protect Jeri fully. He hated guns, but this was a time when he didn't care to carry.
Once they got out on the street and where walking on the sidewalk, he noticed her hands in her pockets. Bitting his lip he suddenly snaked his hand into her pocket and pulled out her right hand and held it firmly in his, smiling at her as she looked at him, blushing a deep crimson. Soon, they were walking close together, her smile radiating her happiness.
“Isn't that Sara,” Jeri asked, remembering the description Greg had given her.
“Yea, I think it is,” Greg said smiling. “Want to go say hi, baby?”
“Sure,” Jeri smiled up at him.
As they walked up to Sara, Greg noticed something off about her. Sara saw Jeri and seemed to stiffen a little, as if she did not what to acknowledge her and Greg were close. Greg was about to say something to try and avoid a confrontation, when Jeri smiled a sugar-won't-melt-in-my-mouth smile at Sara and extended her hand.
“Hey, My name is Jeri, I guess your Sara,” Jeri said smoothly.
“I know who you are. Your the slut that screwed Rick in the locker room,” Sara said, acting as if she was better than Jeri.
Jeri, not missing a beat, just nodded and withdrew her hand. Jeri sized up Sara and mentally noted she was much smaller than herself. Jeri was larger, but not by much.
“Sara, how long have you known me. As a person,” Jeri both stated and asked, throwing Sara and Greg both off.
“Well I-,”Sara began. She was cut off by Jeri.
“Exactly, you do not know me. I admit, having sex with Warrick Brown was a mistake. But as a flesh and blood breathing human, I am entitled to make mistakes,” Jeri calmly stated. “However, if you wanna scrap, I can kick your skinny white ass any day of the week, any hour of the night,” Jeri added with a smirk.
Both women starred at one another for a full minute before Sara's rage boiled over and she lunged at Jeri. Jeri simply sidestepped and pushed Sara down, knocking her to the pavement. Jeri backed away quickly, on the alert.
“I must warn you, Sara, I don't girlfight. I fight like a man so if you don't wanna be messed up, you better think,” Jeri warned.
Sara growled as she pushed herself up off the pavement, her hands scraped up. She was shaking with anger. She had training but she doubted that would work. Still she came at Jeri swinging wildly. Jeri stepped out of the way, growing tired of Sara's wild attempts at a fight. Moving quickly, Jeri knocked Sara's feet from under her, pushing her to the pavement, pinning one arm behind her back, pressing her converse on either side of Sara as she struggled.
“Sara, you are about to cause yourself harm. I win this one, go sleep it off ok,” Jeri said calmly. “When you learn to not let your rage get the best of you, we can fight again.” After saying this, Jeri hopped back, letting Sara up. As Sara was about to go after Jeri again, Greg broke in.
“Enough Sara,” he growled at her.
Greg turned back to say something to Jeri with a hand lashed past his head and nails slashed Jeri's face, causing a long gash in her cheek. Cursing, Greg spun around and pushed Sara hard, causing her to fall as Jeri merely took a napkin out of her pocket and pressed it to the wound, not even flinching.
“What the hell is your fucking problem Sara? You touch my... well hopefully soon girlfriend again and I swear I will personally kick your ass myself,” Greg shouted.
“No. Greg, this is between me and her. She got her cheap shot in, but she won't have any more,” Jeri stated coldly. “Let's go home baby.”
Turning they left silently and walked, with his arm around her, all the way back to his place, leaving a stunned Sara Sidle behind.
After a few upset sessions and debating on whether i should delete this, my friends begged me to continue.
