The Plot Device
Thanks for the reviews. I hope the rest doesn't disappoint. Jill, I do appreciate your comments. I'm not sure my solutions to the problems I set the characters will be satisfactory but then I was a piece of erotica and not realistic relationships. When I wrote this I had not encountered the fan fiction community yet and most of what I did read came from Usenet sites like alt.sex.power.rangers. I'm afraid those stories were the main influence here. Probably if I started writing this from scratch today it would be very different. Anyways here is next chapter.

Chapter VIII: The Plot Device
Kimberly searched the castle, looking for a way home, or at least some clothes. After about an hour of searching, she found a room with a large rectangular pool set in the middle of the room. The surface of the pool seemed covered with swirling cloudy shapes. She leaned on the stone edge of the pool. ‘What is this?’ she thought and was surprised to hear an answer in her head.
"I am Finster's Pool of Knowledge. Ask what you wish to know and it will be answered."
"Cool! Show me the Power Rangers."
The surface of the pool cleared and formed three side by side images. The first was a door-less room. In it was Billy and a unknown woman. They were both naked and Billy seemed to be trying to catch her. She was managing to avoid him, but seemed oddly clumsy and was tiring. In the second image, there seemed to be an orgy going on. In the center was Rocky, making love to….her? The third image was another door-less room. Here Aisha and Tommy, with clothes on, were kissing!! She shoved down a rush of jealousy. There had to be more to this than what there appeared. As she watched, she saw that Tommy made no move to return the kiss and after a moment Aisha pushed away from him and sat down on the opposite side of the room. Tommy just stood looking stunned and depressed.
"What's happening here?" she asked.
The pool spoke again, "The Power Rangers have been trapped in pocket universes by the Mindfucker. The spells that hold them are bound up by sex and their strongest weakness. If they succumb to their weakness, they will be trapped forever."
"Where's Adam?"
"The Black Ranger is the woman with the Blue Ranger"
Kimberly paused to digest this for a moment.
"What are they doing?"
The triple-image shifted to a single image of Billy and Adam. "The Blue Ranger has had his logical mind put to sleep. He is dominated by his animal instincts. At present, he seems consumed with his lust for the Black Ranger. The Black Ranger has been changed into a woman to realize his fear that he is weak. The weakness is accentuated by placing him in a situation where he will be raped by his friend. If the Blue Ranger succeeds in raping him, they will be trapped forever."
"Ohhhh!" Kimberly said, a hand going to her mouth. "How can the spell be broken?"
"This spell is designed so that the Rangers must do something against their nature to break. The Blue Ranger must regain his logic. The only way for this to happen, is for the Black Ranger to turn his weakness into a strength."
"I don't understand. How can he do that?"
"He must prevent the Blue Ranger from raping him, by making love to him."
"What!"
"The pleasure and ecstasy of true love-making, as opposed to the violence of rape, will bring the Blue Ranger's logical mind back to the fore."
"I see, I think." Kimberly fretted, "Oh, if there was only someway to contact them."
"Place your hand on the image and think of the person you wish to speak to. They will hear you in their mind."
"Oh." said Kimberly and reached her hand down to the pool.
