Chapter Seven

Incubus

I do not own Torchwood.

Summary: The team discovers that there are more things in heaven and earth, but does this creature belong in either? This story will contain male/male relationships, lots of vulgar language (just because I love using it), and a couple of original characters thrown in here and there just to spice things up. Have fun and enjoy the story, ya’ll.

Chapter Seven

Jack looked in the rearview mirror to see that Kain was still asleep. He was buckled up next to Gwen who had her gun pressed right into his side. His head was resting against the window. He looked so sweet and innocent with his eyes closed in deep sleep. But, when they were open, run men run! He was a man-eater. Hell, he made the theme-song to Jaws sound like a hymn to Jesus.

“Jack!” Ianto yelled, stomping his foot on the brake pedal that was not there. “Eyes on the road!”

“Good thing I had that one removed,” Jack laughed, looking over at him.

“Shut up!” He snapped. “Pay attention to what you’re doing or I’ll drive.”

“Turn left,” Tosh said, looking out her window.

“Do you think Owen is all right in the trunk?” Gwen asked.

Owen popped his head up behind her. “I’m good.”

Kain moaned in his sleep and shifted, not liking the hard thingy that was sticking him in the side. He turned his head away from the window, resting it on Gwen’s shoulder.

“Jack,” Gwen deadpanned, feeling her vulva clinch. “Get it off me.”

“Play nice, children,” he said, looking in the mirror again. “Or else I shall pull the car over and give you a proper scolding.”

Kain snuggled closer, sighing in his sleep. “Ima.”

Gwen turned her head, seeing that his face was hidden by his cascading mane of golden curls. His breath was warm against her neck and smelled of apple blossoms. He smelled fucking good enough to eat. Oh, great! Now she was craving one her mother’s home baked apple pies.

Ianto turned around in his seat to see that Gwen looked really nervous. He could not help but smile. The incubus was snuggled up beside her like a kitty and she had her gun pointed right at his chest. If she accidentally shot him, he was going to be really pissed. Plus, it would get blood all over the new leather seats. Jack would have to pull the car over and really scold them then.

“Aw,” he snickered. “You look so cute. How old is your son, Miss?”

She cocked the gun and pointed it right in his face. “Shut your tea-hole.”

Tosh rolled her eyes. “We should have locked him up in a cell.”

“And risk him turning into mist or a bat?” Jack asked.

“He’s an incubus,” she said, telling him to take a right. “Not a vampire.”

Ianto poked Gwen’s gun with a finger. “It’s so big and hard, too.”

“All the better to blow your face off with, my dear,” she seethed.

“Are we there yet?” Owen asked, looking over Gwen’s shoulder.

Ianto turned away from the gun in his face. “Is that the entrance over there?”

Jack nodded and pulled into the nearest parking space. “Let’s try and not shoot the snoggers in the bushes.”

Gwen poked Kain on the side of his head with the gun, telling him to wake the hell up. He groaned and turned his head away from the annoying object. So, she stuck the barrel right between his legs.

He opened one eye, looked down, and grinned. “Wow, talk about waking up to a major turn on.”

She could tell his was turned on, too. The bulge spoke volumes. He must really get off on violence. She bet an explosion, killing hundreds of people, would get him off.

“Open your door,” she said, pressing the gun down hard. “And step out before your balls decorate the seats.”

Those molten blue eyes shimmered like icy crystals. He thought about biting her throat out and bitch-slapping Jack with it, only to cringe in sharp pain.

Jack got out and opened up his door as he undid his seatbelt. He slid right on out into Jack’s arms. This was so humiliating. He couldn’t even stand on his own two feet.

“You should have just locked me up in a nice cell with some convicts,” he said, sniffing Jack’s neck, wanting to bite it, but couldn’t. “They would die to have a piece of me.”

Jack nodded. He had a point. Hmm, perhaps America could use him well. Their prisons were overflowing with convicts. Maybe he would make a call.

“Please, Jack,” Kain smiled, teasing his left nipple, causing it to stand to attention. “Just a little kiss…”

He shook his head, making Kain pout with a snarl.

“Fine,” he said, pushing away from Jack. “Don’t yell for me to help you when whatever came out of your ‘Rift’ thingy starts to snack on your face.”

He turned his back, crossed his arms in a huff, and slowly stumbled over to collapse under a tree. He leaned back against the trunk, resting his head, closing his eyes.

“Are the monitors picking up anything?” Jack asked Tosh, keeping an eye on the irate blond.

“Something was definitely here,” she said, holding the device out. “It could still be here, too.”

“Whatever it was,” Owen said. “It caused a powerful rift.”

“It reminded me of when that monster escaped from the Darkness,” Gwen said, looking around with worried eyes.

“Abaddon?” Jack asked, remembering how the Great Bitch had almost killed him for real.

Kain’s eyes snapped open. “The Great Devourer?”

Everyone turned to him.

Jack nodded. “He’s dead now.”

Kain cocked his head to the side as Gwen told him the story.

Kain looked at Jack in awe. “So, you’re the one who killed Mommy’s favorite pet.”

Ianto gawked. “Mommy’s pet?”

“Well, She is the Mother of Darkness,” he said, running his hands through his hair. “She gives birth to all manner of creatures with a thought. It is a game between Her and Him. She thought it would be cute to have something moving in the darkness.”

“Your mother gave birth to the Great Beast?” Jack asked.

“Do you find that frightening?” Kain asked, turning on the scary with a glance.

Gwen and Ianto both nodded.

“Abaddon was your brother?” Owen asked.

“Half,” Kain said. “My mother and stepfather are always plotting against the creator.”

“Stepfather?” Tosh asked, monitoring the readings.

“You people call him Satan,” he said. “But, he has many names. Some of them are so old even the oceans have forgotten them.”

“Jack,” Tosh said. “Whatever was here is gone now. I’m getting nothing.”

“We’ll look around for a bit,” Jack said, walking over to where Kain was looking up at him. “Owen, you go with Tosh and check that way. Ianto and Gwen, you two check out the grove over there.”

He held out a hand for the incubus to take. “And you’re coming with me to check out the small forest over there.”

“All right,” Kain said, accepting his hand. “If something attacks, I shall fight it off by falling flat on my face from exhaustion.”

“You do that,” Jack said, pulling him up to his feet. “It will give me the chance to escape while it chows down on you.”

Ianto chuckled and followed after Gwen who was cursing under her breath. Owen and Tosh were already out of earshot.

“Come on,” Jack said, walking towards the dark wooded area with his gun out.

Kain followed along beside him, looking like he was really bored. Maybe he was just really pissed off. He was now weaker than a rabid bunny on crack.

The wind played through the trees, causing the leaves to whisper their secrets to the night. Crickets were singing their songs and the frogs were doing the same. It was a lovely chorus.

“Tell me about Abel,” Jack said, checking a bush that moved. It had been a bird.

“He’s dead,” Kain said, looking away. “What’s there to tell?”

“What was he like?” Jack asked, leading on. “What did he like to do?”

“He was kind, strong, and gentle,” Kain said, looking at his nails. “And he liked for me to do him.”

“That’s not what I meant,” Jack snapped, spinning around to face him. “God, you’re such an asshole.”

“Yes,” Kain told him. “He is.”

Jack’s nostrils flared and he walked away from him. “You’re hopeless.”

Kain looked down at his feet, having his curly mane hide his face like a golden veil. “I wasn’t always.”

Jack stopped in his tracks, taking a deep breath. “You loved him.”

“I did,” he whispered, feeling a crack appear in the eon old ice.

“What changed?” Jack asked, turning back around to see a lonely creature of legend and beauty haunting the shadows. He felt his heart breaking for him.

“I loved him so much,” he said, shoulders shaking from pent up emotions. “I loved him so much, it destroyed me.”

“What did?” Jack asked, stepping up to him.

Kain looked up at him with wet blue orbs that shimmered with sadness and a depthless guilt. “Jealousy.”

A twig snapped from behind and Jack spun around with his gun cocked. Kain looked over his shoulder. There was nothing there.

That was when a familiar scent assaulted Kain’s nostrils. It was wild and smelled of fiery cinnamon.

“No,” he gasped, taking a step back, looking this way and that like a deer caught in oncoming headlights. He could see it all happening once more, right before his eyes. He turned and took of stumbling through the bushes.

“Kain!” Jack yelled, chasing after him. “What is it?”

He pounced on him, causing the incubus to cry out as they crashed to the ground with a thud.

“Get off me!” Kain screamed at the top of his immortal lungs. “Get the fuck off me!”

“Stop it!” Jack growled, fighting to restrain him. “It’s just me.”

“Get off me!” He roared in a deep voice, kneeing Jack between the legs, screaming like a demon because of the pain it caused him to do so. Damn that fucking device! “I’m always on top!”

Jack groaned in pain as he doubled over on his side, holding himself. That had fucking hurt.

Kain jumped on top of him, straddled his waist, pinning his wrists at his side, hissing through the pain like a giant snake. He looked down at Jack wish flesh scorching wrath. If he had been at full power, Jack would be a pile of fleshy soup under him.

Jack felt the tears land on his face and they stung like sparks from a fire. Kain trembled in pain and finally collapsed on top of him. His face was right beside his, hidden by its golden mane.

“Heavy,” Jack said through gritted teeth.

Kain didn’t move. Jack could feel his warm breath against his right cheek. It smelled of honeysuckle. God, it was intoxicating.

“Hey,” Jack said, squirming under him. “Are you okay?”

Kain didn’t answer.

“Shit,’ he hissed, feeling around in his pocket for his cell phone, punching one for Ianto. There was just one ring.

“Sleeping Beauty pricked his finger,” he said. “Please come find us, he’s really heavy.”

He dropped the phone beside him, turning his face to the side. He lifted a hand, tucking Kain’s hair away from his face. His lips were slightly parted and they were designed for kissing and touching. There was not a single line on his gorgeous face.

“Jack!” Ianto yelled.

“Over here!” He called out. He could hear the sound of racing feet.

“What happened?” Gwen asked as she and Ianto rolled the incubus off Jack and onto his back.

“Something really scared him,” he said, sitting up, pointing into the deeper darkness. “And he took off running.”

Ianto cocked a brow. “And you just happened to wind up under him in the fall to the ground?”

Jack rolled his eyes and had Gwen call the others. He had Ianto help him lift Kain onto his back. It had been forever and a day since he had given someone a piggyback ride.

“Come on,” Gwen said. “They’ll meet us at the car.”

“That device is really kicking his ass,” Ianto smiled.

Jack grunted. “Someone needs to go on a cock free diet.”

Kain snarled in his sleep like a hissing crocodile.

Molten amber eyes watched from the shadows as they left. It had been a tiny forever since the last time she had walked this world in flesh. Oh, to feel the soothing night air on her naked skin once more was simply too delicious to waste.

She stepped out into the moonlight, letting the sliver light illuminate her onyx smooth flesh. She gazed down at the pouch in her hand and smiled with devil red lips. It contained Abel’s last breath.

So, her son was being haunted by his sin. Well, she would soon change that. It had all been for a purpose.

“So, Jack,” she said in an airy voice that hummed through the air with pulses of controlled fury. “You are the one who killed my Abaddon.”

His demise had rumbled through the darkness and it had felt like someone had yanked one of her lustrous hairs out by the root. Oh, her scream had scorched through the Hell she had created and ruled with glory.

“Sorry, baby,” she cooed as if Kain was in her arms. “You’ve suffered so much, my darling.”

She looked up at the sky and massive red wings sprouted from her back in a shower of fiery feathers. “There’s no point in hiding. You brought all of this on yourself.”

Thunder rumbled.

“You can bellow all you like,” she giggled like molten lava breaking the surface of the earth. “It won’t change a Goddamn thing.”

The thunder got closer, followed with lightning.

“Fine, hide out there behind your yellow sun,” she said, smiling. “And watch as I destroy your creation before I and my army come for you.”

Her laugher drowned out the thunder as her massive wings embraced the night in dance.
