The Lost Ark
Major Mirkwood stood in front of General Landry and Senator Mirkwood. They looked like they had plotted a conspiracy against her and she was right.
“I want you take your team and head to Atlantis, Major,” said General.
“But why? Don’t they have enough marines and airmen there?” asked Mirkwood with a scowl.
“Your only assignment there is to find Sampo and to do so you’ll have higher authority when needed,” said Senator and looked at his stepdaughter handling the order. She was still against the whole idea. She knew General O'Neill had spilled the whereabouts to them and now they expected her to find it.
I’m gonna kill O'Neill, she cursed in her head.

Mirkwood was still sleeping when Sheppard woke up. She was still curled around him and it felt so good. She was warm and naked. He loved that. He wanted to stay like that forever but she already yawned and stretched out her body.
“Morning,” murmured Sheppard and kissed her lips. Mirkwood opened her eyes, stared at him for few seconds and then smiled.
“I know where it is,” she said and hopped out of the bed, heading for the shower. Sheppard just stared the empty space where she had just been and tried to rewind to get what had just happened.
“You know what?” he called with annoyance as he dragged himself out of bed and followed to the bathroom where she was already washing herself. She was covered with soap and shampoo as she took her time. He joined her under the shower and sighed as hot water hit his body.
“Ah, that feels good,” he murmured. Mirkwood smirked and rinsed her long hair. Her back was turned to him, showing off her great ass.
“And you know what is even better?” asked Sheppard and cupped her ass with both hands, “Is to get laid under shower.”
“Really?” laughed Mirkwood and wiggled her ass, suddenly feeling his long shaft pressing against her crack. Sheppard slithered his hands around her hips to front and moved one to her chest and the other between her legs. She moaned as he touched her clit.
“Yesss,” hissed Sheppard and kissed her wet neck, biting a bit. He kept massaging her clit until she cried out and almost collapsed against the wall. She held onto it as he pushed inside from behind. He almost lost himself when he pounded into her.

Major Mirkwood walked into Doctor Jackson’s office and slammed her fists onto the table, making him jump.
“You!” she hissed, “You are responsible for all this!”
“Um, what exactly?”
“You asked O'Neill to blackmail me! It’s your fault they know where it is now! It’s your fault I have to go to Atlantis!” she yelled at him and scared him to death.
“Well, if it would make any difference, then I’d like to come along and…”
“You? You wanna come along? But of course you wanna! It’s the Lost City and all. No way! This is my trip and you are not coming anywhere near it!” she screamed and stared at him. Jackson looked like a little sad puppy. He had always hoped to visit Atlantis and stay there at least for a month to get to know all its wonders.
“But you even don’t want to go.”
“It’s not the point,” she smirked and walked out of there.

Doctor Weir looked at Major Mirkwood and couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Well, she had known she’d find it but so soon. That was just great news.
“Good, how soon could you get it?” she asked.
“I have to find the planet in the starmap first and then, well, I go and get it.”
“Good. You do that,” she said and watched her leave. Doctor Weir sat down again and looked in front of her. She had smelled Sheppard’s cologne on Mirkwood and that irritated her a bit.

Major Mirkwood and Doctor McKay stood in front of a large screen and looked for thousands of stars. McKay was still nervous around her, so Zelenka came around to help him find the planet she was looking for.
“It’s a solar system with two suns. I don’t know if it’s even in this galaxy but it has five planets and the fourth is inhabitable,” she said as Zelenka and McKay inserted the descriptions into the inquiry. The Ancients computer came up with eleven results. That was a surprise. She had expected a lot less but then again Pegasus Galaxy was big.
“Does any of them have Gates?” she asked. McKay tapped his tablet and came up with the answer.
“Only five of them. The others are accessible from nearby planets that have Gates with the Jumper,” said McKay and looked at Mirkwood who looked at the five in the list. One of them held the Sampo.
“Fine, I’ll go and check the five and you two figure out how to get to the other ones,” she said and walked away. She turned on her radio and contacted her team to assemble it in 20 minutes. She had the permission from Doctor Weir and wasn’t gonna wait any longer.
She walked to the Gateroom and found Sheppard waiting for her there. He came down the stairs and stood in front of her.
“I heard you found where Sampo is,” he said casually.
“Yes,” she said coolly and looked at him. “I have eleven hits.”
“Wow, that’s lots of land to cover. Don’t you need any help?”
“No.”
“Ilmatar? Is everything okay?”
“I’m fine,” she said and smiled but it never reached to her eyes. Her team arrived and McKay personally opened the Gate to one of the planets in the list. Mirkwood gathered up her men and stepped through.

Eighteen hours had passed but Major Mirkwood hadn’t reported back to Atlantis and Sheppard got nervous. He knew from the past that when she was overdue, it usually meant trouble.
“I have to go after her,” he said and went to find Weir to get the permission to do that. But he didn’t get any far when AT-13 came in hot with multiple injuries and carrying a lifeless body of Major Mirkwood.
“What happened?” demanded Sheppard and stormed to them. The medical team rushed in and started hassling with them. Doctor Beckett was yelling orders and asked Sheppard to step aside.
“No, I want to know what happened out there!”
Captain Irons was the only one who had gotten away with few scratches. He stepped to Sheppard and looked horrified.
“We were attacked. The Wraith,” he reported.
“What? How? There was supposed to be no Wraith!”
“There was a Hive that had been there dormant for hundreds of years. Suddenly all the Wraiths woke up and came at us. They were really hungry.”

Sheppard spent all his free time at the Infirmary. Mirkwood was in coma and Doctor Beckett didn’t give her much hope. Sheppard didn’t want to hear that. She had been in that state before and came out without a problem. But this time it was different. Her Ancients genes weren’t healing her as quickly as he would have liked.
This just can’t happen, groaned Sheppard inwardly. Doctor Weir stepped to the Infirmary and said how sorry she was. Sheppard just walked out of there and left Weir alone with Mirkwood.
“I can’t loose you now,” said Weir and stepped closer to Mirkwood’s bed, “You are too close to find Sampo.”
Doctor Weir leaned closer to her and placed her hand over her chest. She smiled as a flash of darkness blazed under her palm. Mirkwood twitched and the vitals on the screens spiked up a notch.
