Another Lifetime
Slowly

He was washing his hair, long
fingers rubbing through wet curls, he turned to grab the shampoo and saw her,
expressionless as he opened the shower door.
“Take you clothes off” his eyes met hers holding her gaze “slowly”
Her fingers went to buttons while her mind screamed at her that no one told her
what to do.
Peter leaned against the shower wall, watching as she dropped her shirt to the
floor, her eyes never left his, and he felt his c0ck twitch against his belly.
He had seen women strip before, sequins and feathers, legs and arms all wrapped
around shiny steel poles as they had pouted and posed but had been a laugh
nothing more. Something to look at while he had drunk lager with his mates, he
supposed some sad old blokes would have got a rise from it but it had never
done anything for him. But this slow removal of clothing in absolute silence
was driving him wild, he could hear himself breathing, hear her short breaths
and he wished she would hurry up. Jeans peeled down each leg and she was
standing there is just bra and knickers, nothing fancy, not like the getup she
had been wearing the other night. Simple cotton, bright blue against pale skin
but he thought it was the most erotic thing he had ever seen, his breath caught
as she unhooked her bra, breasts falling free and he groaned as she cupped her
hands around them, eyes never leaving his. She licked her lips, unconsciously
he knew but he felt as though he had been punched in the groin, a surge of heat
as her hands dropped and fingers hooked into either side of her knickers,
pulling them down over her hips, to her knees and then a wiggle as she stepped
out of them.
“So” one word and the spell was broken, he grabbed her around the waist,
pulling her into the shower, mouth crushing down on her lips, arms wrapping
around her waist, lifting her up against the wall so that she wrapped her legs
around him, her head rolling back as teeth and tongue laved over sensitive
nipples. The hot water cascaded over them as he pushed into her, hard and fast,
no let up until with shaking legs he slid to the shower floor, bodies still
entwined but urgency gone.

She was unsure of the time, but it was getting light outside, Peter still
slept, facing her his hand resting on her hip. Kat lay very still, watching him
breathe, he was beautiful, there was no other way to describe him, that first
time she had met him, at the house he had taken her breath away, pleasure in
just looking at him. The way he moved, his hair, skin everything put together
so perfectly. It was no wonder that every woman in Midsomer Mallow had fallen
over themselves for his attention.
She known all about him before that first time. Had been aware of the facts,
Peter Drinkwater burglar and blackmailer. Of course none of the ladies had let
on, she had heard those facts from Paul, he had been amused, laughing as he had
told her. That first time she had half expected Peter to ask her for fifty
quid, that had been part of the reason she had gone out the window, the other
part had been instinctive, she had wanted to stay. In her experience that meant
it was imperative to leave. She did not want to end up a bitter middle aged
woman down at the pub, chain smoking and drinking sherry, complaining because
her old man was once more locked up. It was only supposed to have been the one
time, fuck him, get him out of her system, move on. It had been crazy to even
consider it, she had known the danger, but he had played the game so well,
hunter and hunted and there had been no way to stop it, no way that she could
have. Of course it had ended in trouble, it had been headed that way from the
start, once and it may have gone unnoticed but instead they had kept meeting,
stupidly thinking that no one suspected.
She had not expected him to come back, when she had regained consciousness in
the ambulance she had thought that she was hallucinating, he had been looking
down at her, had kissed her forehead and held her hand until they had arrived
at the hospital. At least that was how she remembered it, things had been hazy.
But he had been there, and for that she could not leave him here. They would
get the painting. Then she would move on, she had to.
“Hey” he was awake “what are you thinking?”
“About tomorrow”
“Don’t” he rolled over onto his back, looking up at her “come here instead..”
“I need to call work” she wanted to give them notice, to apologise for leaving
them in the lurch.
He reached to pick up the watch on the bedside table “just after 7am, plenty of
time yet” he smiled, God he was beautiful, a fallen angel, that was it, the
face and body of a fallen angel. Christ she was getting ridiculous, he would
kill himself laughing if he ever knew that thought. It made her smile, just the
thought of it.
“What are you laughing at?”
“Nothing”
She was giggling, he had never heard her giggle, and in truth he did not think
he had heard her laugh. It made him feel oddly light, and he pulled her down on
top of him, tickling her bare skin so that she laughed harder, struggling,
squirming away from him until he started kissing her, and then she became
serious, eyes intent as she kissed him back. It all starting all over again….
