Chapter 8

Green
Flora Winters

I do not own Smallville.

Summary: Something bad is going down in the small town of Smallville and it’s all Lex’s fault. He has always been too curious for his own good. If only he had not tripped and fallen that day while snooping around the Kent farm when the elder Kent’s were out of town and Clark was at school.

Chapter 8

Clark followed Lex out to his car garage and just stared at all the pretty shiny that went Zoom, Zoom. Lex saw the glint in Clark’s eyes and asked, “Which one do you want to go home in?”

Clark shouted, “Lamborghini!”

Lex snorted and waked over to a cabinet and pulled open the silver door and took out a set of nice shiny keys and twirled them casually around his finger. Clark super sped into the car and shut the door before Lex could blink and started to honk the horn for him to hurry up.

Lex laughed and opened the door and got in for Clark to look over at him and whine, “What took you so long?”

He just shook his head and put the key in ignition and Clark leaned back in his seat when the car roared to life. Lex was pulling out into the drive and asked him, “Are you sleepy?”

Clark gave him a sleepy grin and murmured, “A little,” which turned into a very stern look. Lex saw it and wondered now what the hell had he done? Oh yeah! He put his foot on the break and put his seat belt on.

Lex pulled into the Kent drive and parked his car in front of the barn. He looked over to see and hear Clark snoring lightly and smiled. He pushed that stubborn lock of dark hair behind his ear and gently shook his shoulder, “You’re home Clark.”

Clark opened his eyes slowly and yawned rather loudly, “We are?”

Lex smiled at the ‘we’ and opened his door, “Yes, you are.”

Clark stretched a little and Lex saw a sliver of golden tummy and wanted nothing more in this world than to see Clark Kent standing nude before him. Clark reached over and opened his door and got out to follow Lex to the porch.

Clark opened the door to see his mom and dad sitting at the table having some tea and dinner while looking over some bills with the TV playing the news. Jonathan looked up to see Lex with his son and quickly closed the folder and smiled falsely, “Good evening Lex.”

Lex smiled insecurely while nodding, “Mr. Kent, Mrs. Kent.”

Martha was on her feet in an instant, “Hey honey, Lex, would you like some tea?”

Lex shook his head for her to see Clark elbow him which made him stutter, “Of course, thank you Mrs. Kent.”

Martha smiled and turned around to wonder over to get the pot, “What are you up to boys?”

Clark pulled out a chair for Lex to sit down which earned him a glare from his dad. He pretended not to notice while grabbing a piece of chicken and devoured it. Lex just stared at him, “And here I thought you had manners.”

Clark grinned while talking with his mouth full of chicken, “I only have manners around people who are not family.”

Jonathan choked on his tea and Martha poured Lex his who was blushing something furious, “Here you go dear,” Martha said pushing the cup to him, “And Clark,” she glared, “Don’t talk with your mouth full.”

Clark took another big bite, “Ok mom,” as a piece of chicken skin flapped around at the corner of his mouth.

Lex snorted and Martha just looked at him, “Ok,” she said with that ‘I know you’re up to something’ tone, “What’s going on now? You’re being funny.”

Clark quickly swallowed his chicken and licked his fingers which Lex wanted to do for him but oh well. He looked from his mom to his dad who looked like he had suffered a mild heart attack, “Can I go with Lex just for this weekend to Metropolis to help search for his dad?”

Jonathan snorted, “We know where Lionel Luthor is,” he said happily, “In hell.”

Lex muttered under his breath, “I only hope.”

Jonathan looked at him, “What did you say Lex?”

Lex looked up at him blushing, “I said I hope you’re right.” God what did it take to please this man?

“Can I,” Clark asked while eyeing the last piece of fried chicken just daring his dad to take it.

Jonathan narrowed his eyes, “You’re grounded, and you have school tomorrow.”

Clark glared, “And what if Lex goes green and starts killing people left and right?”

Lex interrupted, “Actually, I would not be the one doing it.”

“No,” Clark said not taking his eyes of the yummy chicken, “But the Cameras will see you doing it.”

Lex closed his mouth. He never thought about the media that could get involved. He would never find a moments piece if Kryptonia suddenly decided to smite a bunch of bitches.

Martha sat down, “I think Clark should go just in case Jonathan.”

“He could be hurt,” Jonathan said, “Or worse, killed.”

Lex interrupted again, “Kryptonia promised not to hurt Clark or his loved ones?”

“And why on this green earth would she go and promise a thing like that,” Jonathan asked while thinking, “Lets see you get out of this one Luthor.”

Lex quickly thought it over, “She is after something and as long as I try and help her get it she won’t go against her word.”

“What is she after,” Jonathan asked.

“I’m not sure,” he said, “But I agreed to help her if I could,” and then he just got frustrated with the elder Kent, “And don’t gods have to keep their word or something like that?”

Jonathan blinked and Clark snatched the piece of chicken with triumph while crying, “Yes!”

Jonathan snorted, “You had help you little cheater.”

Clark rolled his eyes and handed it to Lex, “Here you go,” he said, “Mom makes the best damn, I mean the best darn chicken ever.”

“See,” Jonathan bellowed pointing at Lex, “He’s a bad influence on Clark!”

Clark smiled, “Actually I heard you say it just as we were walking to the porch,” and then began to imitate his dad’s voice, “Wow honey, this has got to be the best damn chicken you’ve fixed yet.”

Martha howled with laughter while Lex looked at Clark with wide eyes and bit into the chicken leg and then munched away. Jonathan just sat there in stunned silence, “Fine.”

Clark jumped to his feet, “Thanks guys,” and pulled Lex by the hand after him who mumbled with his mouth full of chicken, “Thanks for the tea Mrs. Kent.”

She smiled warmly and then looked over at her sour faced husband, “What’s the matter sweetie?”

Jonathan grumbled, “I wanted that piece of chicken.”

Martha howled with laughter and then noticed something her husband did not. Instead of Clark pulling Lex after him by the arm, he had pulled Lex by the hand. She sipped her tea quietly in thought while Jonathan resumed going over the bills.

Lex allowed Clark to pull him up the stairs and then realized Clark was leading him straight to his bedroom. Clark opened the door and pulled Lex in closing it behind them. Lex tried not to stutter, “What about your parents Clark,” he asked looking around the cluttered room and realized that he loved it while breathing in the scent that was Clark.

Clark walked over to his closet and pulled out a huge duffel bag, “What about them?”

Lex sighed, “I’m in your bedroom,” and then he pointed at the door, “And that’s closed.”

“Oh,” Clark said and in a flash it was open and he was looking through his closet for some clothes, “I didn’t mean to make you so uncomfortable.”

“No,” Lex said quickly, “I just don’t want your dad to shoot me.”

Clark looked up at him and asked while holding up a shirt, “What do you think of this?”

Lex smiled. His farmboy was so beautiful and simple. He would look good in nothing but tatters which gave him ideas for later on down the road but he simply said, “I’m going to buy you your first club outfit.”

Clark smiled over at him, “Really? You don’t have to Lex. Plus I’m sixteen. They would never let me in.”

Lex took the flannel shirt from him and laid it in the bag, “Yes, and I know I don’t have to, I want to,” he told him, “Plus, if Lex Luthor wants to get you through those doors, Lex Luthor will get you through those doors.”

Clark smiled and walked over to take him in his arms pulling him close against his chest, “I won’t ever let anything happen to you Lex.”

Lex was enchanted by the heat radiating from Clark and Lex wondered if he made his own being an alien and all, “Where did that come from?”

“I could see the fear in your eyes,” Clark said while planting kisses on his smooth head.

Lex frowned, “I don’t deserve you Clark.”

“Well,” Clark cooed while moving his lips along his jaw line, “Let me be the judge of that.”

Shivers of desire ran through Lex and he felt the heat rise in his face, “Clark?”

“Yeah,” Clark asked pulling slightly on his shirt.

“Your door,” he murmured trying to stay in control, “Its standing wide open.”

The door was shut and locked and Lex found himself lying on the bed with Clark on top of him going at his neck. Lex felt like everything was just shutting down. All he wanted was Clark. Sure Clark’s moves were a little clumsy but by the gods it was nice.

Lex suddenly rolled Clark over and devoured those soft sultry lips. Clark moaned as his erection came into contacts with Lex’s. Clark rubbed against him and suddenly shuttered and groaned while feeling something hot and sticky filll the front of his jeans. His head fell back against the pillows and Lex was smiling down at him, “Did you just,” but was cut off by a soft whine, “I’m sixteen.”
**********************************************************

Martha noticed that her son had changed jeans and almost flipped the hell out but quickly calmed herself when she noticed how happy Clark looked. He was shoving Lex out the door playfully while telling him that it was almost his bedtime and his parents would be most upset if he was to stay up a moment longer.

She did not mean to be snooping. The tractor was just conveniently parked here for her to hide behind, and this was her baby damn it! So far Lex had kept his secret, but it’s only been a day. Chloe would take Clark’s secret to the grave that much Martha knew.

Lex was laughing while Clark zipped around him with great speed, “You’re going to trip and fall clumsy man.”

Clark laughed, “Like I’ve never heard that one before.”

Clark stood beside Lex in front of the car door and he looked around. Martha peeked over the tractor to see the two of them kiss. Her eyes went wide and she put a hand around her throat to keep herself from gasping. Lex pulled away and ruffled her son’s hair, “Love you farmboy.”

Clark gave him his goofy grin and Lex stumbled for Clark to catch him, “Are you ok?”

“Yeah,” Lex said a little breathless, “You just have no idea how much power that grin has over me.”

Clark snorted, “Well, now I do,” he said and Lex rolled his eyes, “All the girls at school scream and tell me to stop it.”

Lex laughed, “I knew it!”

“What,” Clark said turning on those damn puppy eyes that would make Lex give him the world.

“That your grin makes all the girls scream,” Lex said, “It makes me wild.”

Clark grinned bigger and Lex wailed like a little school girl and beat his fists on his rock hard chest playfully, “Stop it!”

Clark was dumbfounded and Lex was howling with laughter, “Don’t you have to be in bed or something like that.”

Clark kissed him on the cheek, “Love you Lex.”

Lex pecked him back, “Love you to Clark.”

Clark closed the door for him and Lex honked the horn as he drove off. Martha saw Clark look up at the sky and hear him say, “Thank you,” and then he sped into the barn.

Martha came out from her hiding place and felt rather conflicted. She heard music coming from the barn and decided she needed to talk to her baby. He might think he was grown but she knew better. Even a grown man needs his mother to lean on in circumstances like this.
****************************************************************

Clark was dancing rather badly to some song by Lucinda Williams when he heard his mom snort from the stairs. He spun around which caused him to lose his balance and fall back breaking the sofa.

Martha ran over with a concerned look on her face asking, “Is the sofa ok?”

Clark laughed, “I’m fine,” he said rolling his eyes, “Thanks mom.”

Martha sat down next to him on the now broken piece of furniture and Clark rested his head on her shoulder while she ran her fingers through his thick locks. She had no idea where to begin the conversation so Clark decided to help her out seeing as how he knew she had been watching and all. He knew he had taken a big risk and all but he really needed to know what his mom thought.

“Thanks for allowing me to go with Lex tomorrow mom,” he said, “He really needs me.”

Martha continued to run her fingers through his soft hair that no scissor could cut, “You’re welcome sweetheart.”

“I’m scared mom,” he said shaking a little, “I have no idea how to help him.”

Martha had him lay his head down in her lap, “We’ll find a way.”

Clark closed his eyes, “How does one fight a God?”

Martha did not know how to answer that. This was all new territory and by Jesus it was scary, “I’m not sure.”

“I love him,” Clark said slowly waiting for her to throw him to the floor or scream at him.

Martha smiled down into those misty green eyes. She could feel all the emotion in those three simple words, “I know honey.”

Clark sat up and turned around to look at her, “You do?”

“Of course,” she said, “It did not take the change of jeans or the kisses outside for me to figure that out.”

Clark blushed something awful and Martha put a hand to his cheek as a tear slid down, “You’re not mad,” he asked hopefully, “You’re not disappointed in me?”

Martha pinched his nose which in turn made his eyes cross to look at her hand, “Of course not,” she said while laughing at his silly face, “How or why would I ever be disappointed in my baby?”

She let go of his nose and he rubbed it shaking his head, “You still love me?”

“Do I need to pinch your nose again,” she asked staring him down.

He quickly put a pillow over his nose, “No.”
**************************************************************

Lex was getting dressed for bed and pulled out a pair of silk pajamas pants from his dresser and put them on. He walked over to look at himself in the full sized mirror only to have his reflection turn around and Kryptonia looking back at him which made him yelp.

Laughter that sounded like silver bells filled his ears, “Hello Lex Luthor.”

“How the fuck did you get in there,” he hissed.

Those mystic emerald eyes rolled, “We’re not,” she said, “We’re in you.”

Lex looked over to see that he had shut his door, “What do you want,” he asked looking back at the beautiful Goddess.

“Tell us of your plan,” she said, “To gather up all the Kryptonite.”

“The what,” he asked only to realize, “Oh, the meteor rocks.”

“Yes,” she said, “Tell us how you plan to do it.”

“Can’t you just read my thoughts or something,” he asked.

“You’re thoughts are your own just as ours are our own,” She told him, “Now tell us of your plan or we shall grow cross.”

“Some all powerful Goddess,” he muttered under his breath.

“We shall allow that one to slide Lex Luthor,” she said calmly, “Come now,” she said snapping her fingers, “Be a good little vessel and we won’t play games with your farmboy and his lovely keepers.”

Lex glared at her, “You promised you wouldn’t touch them.”

Kryptonia narrowed her eyes, “As long as you do as we command we won’t.”

“Fine,” Lex said, “I’m taking Clark out of town tomorrow. While we’re gone my team will move in and start to collect as many meteor rocks as possible.”

“Very good,” she whispered softly, “As long as you continue to do as we say no harm will come to your farmboy or his loved ones.” She had no intention of harming Kal-El, but as long as her vessel thought she was a threat to him he was putty in her mighty hands.

“Thank you,” Lex said and then asked him self why he said that.

She nodded and he said, “But there are meteor rocks all over Smallville.”

“Explain this to us,” she commanded.

Lex fought back the urge to tell her to just go fuck herself and then just smash the mirror, but she would probably drive him crazy by talking in his head all night, “There are thousands of fragments if not millions,” he told her watching her face grow stormy, “Some lie deep in the earth, in caverns, even at the bottom of lakes and rivers all throughout Smallville.”

Green lightning cackled out the corner of her eyes, “This displeases us greatly,” and quickly cut him off, “But we understand.”

“You do,” he asked not sure he really believed her.

She nodded her head, “Have this ‘team’ as you so delicately call them gather as many as they can,” she told him, “And then we shall do the rest.”

Lex frowned, “What do you mean?”

“Go to sleep Lex Luthor,” she cooed gently, “Our ways are our own.”

He was about to protest when the mirror shattered causing him to jump back as the pieces fell to the floor. All Lex could think at the moment was, “Clean up, master bedroom.”
