Chapter 8: Flasback part II

*The scene shifted and Becca was in the middle of a battlefield, frozen in shock, she had lost her side arm and didn’t know what to do next. She could see Jack and Sam but they were both occupied… She felt the impact without seeing the source as the blast hit her shoulder. Everything went black as she felt herself slam into the ground.
Daniel saw her go flying from a few hundred yards away, “Jack, Sam!” he called as he fought his way through the chaos. He dropped to his knees beside her, made sure she was breathing and began to assess her injuries to the best of his abilities. Her shoulder was a mess and he knew if they did not get her home soon she could lose her arm.
In that moment, he knew he loved her because the thought of losing her was simply unacceptable. He scooped her up and headed for the Stargate, Sam, Jack and Teal’c caught up with them as they arrived at the DHD. General Hammond was waiting for them as they carried her down the ramp and handed her off to the waiting med team. *
