ch 8

Grissom lay with Sara on his chest, still heaving from their last round of lovemaking. They were so into each other these days that they just couldn’t get enough of each other. Every spare moment was used for “practice”. That is what they were calling it.

He slowly stroked her hair as she kissed his chest.

“Sara.”

“Yes.” She grinned.

“I have another proposition for you.”

“What’s that?” She crawled up so that she was eye to eye with him.

“Research. I think we should observe some couples in relationships to see if we can get a feel for it, what do you say?”

“Sure.” If I get to play with you. She kissed him softly on the mouth.

They decided the best place to do this was in the park. They could take Sam and do their research at the same time.

They packed up the baby and put her in the stroller and walked to the park. Sara made sure she packed a blanket and planned on using it to observe people better. It made it look like they were there to have a picnic or something of the like. If they looked like a couple they would be more inconspicuous.

Sara laid the blanket out on the ground and pulled the baby out of the stroller. She placed her down on the blanket and she began to crawl around.

She was growing like a weed these days she was crawling and slowly walking as she held on to things.

Sara watched as she played with the toys that Sara brought for her.

Sam looked up at Sara. “Mama.” She said plain as day.

Sara began to cry.

“What’s wrong, Sara?”

“She called me Mama.” Sara’s belly rolled. What’s with that? Maybe it is my maternal instinct responding to her? Sara laughed to herself at the thought. Sara began to feel nauseous.

“I guess she likes you.” He smiled at her and watched his daughter play with the toys.

They decided that the park was a wonderful spot to observe people. There were people who were in love and did little things, like gentle touches, caresses and looks.

There were the couples that were groping each other in the park. These people needed a room…not the park. They were amazed at how carefree people were, especially in public.

Sara looked at Grissom. “Griss, I don’t feel well, would you mind going home?”

“Do you need to go to the doctor?”

“No, I should be alright.”

“So much for our research, egh.”

“Next time.”
